2  Economy / Service Announcements / [ANN] Group bid for USMS auction, $5,000 minimum on: June 16, 2014, 12:39:11 PM
The BTX group bid is off.

Folks, we're putting together group bids for the USMS auction.

My company (BTX Trader, backed by NASDAQ:WPCS) will put down the initial deposit.

There are a lot of details so please see them here: https://www.govcoins.com[1]

We consider this a near free opportunity to buy bitcoin at potentially good rates. Our goal is to give broader access to this auction.

Start by signing up -- we're opening bidding later today. There aren't that many days till the auction so the quicker you get started the better.

Example bid: $5,000 @ $400 -- so for 12.5 bitcoin. Worst case if we don't win, you lose $100 to our service fee. If you do get hit however, you just acquired bitcoin at great prices.

3  Other / Meta / Database Error on: June 30, 2013, 03:40:23 AM
Anyone unable to post and getting database errors?

On 'Post' it gets stuck for ~30s and then says database error when I try to post in the Trading Discussion forum.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / A new platform to trade Bitcoins: BTX Trader on: May 17, 2013, 10:29:08 AM
We've built a Windows based professional trading platform.

It's not an exchange. It's not a platform that will trade for you and generate profits. Rather -- it will help improve your trade entry and manage your trade's lifecycle.

You'll love the how easy it is to review market data, trade and understand exchange connectivity status.

I've attached a screenshot.

We're getting ready to hand out the platform to interested users.

If you would like to join the free private beta, please visit http://www.btxtrader.com and sign up with you email address.

Looking forward to hearing from the community!

5  Other / Beginners & Help / Mt.Gox API uptime on: February 17, 2013, 07:35:44 PM
I've been trying to work with the Mt.Gox API (specifically the streaming ticker API) but I keep running into issues where the server seems to randomly stop sending ticks and/or disconnecting.

I'm using Python with websocket client if it's relevant.

Anyone care to share anecdotal advice on Mt.Gox's API uptime? Is the problem likely on my side?
