Satoshi wrote: "If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry" from this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=532.msg6269#msg6269I reflected upon this statements so many times since i discovered Bitcoin long time ago. Today I had an idea: I don't have time sounds to me like someone who knows that he doesn't have time. I mean someone who knew his life was going to end soon. Maybe he had cancer and he was going towards a sure death in few time. I thought about this for the first time today and I have such a realistic feeling about this..I can't explain .

I woke up this morning to 17 new messages on my bitcointalk account. all 17 were deleted posts. all the deleted post messages show that they came from "guest" none of them give a reason, many of the original posts are weeks old....
I dont actually get it. am i being attacked? nothing that got deleted was even slightly controversial, none of the posts were spammy or unconstructive... what unifies them is basically how innocuous they all were...
i dont have time to put all the deleted posts up here, but here are the last 3, just for a taste of whats happening...
A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. There are no rules of self-moderation, so this deletion cannot be appealed. Do not continue posting in this topic if the topic-starter has requested that you leave.
You can create a new topic if you are unsatisfied with this one. If the topic-starter is scamming, post about it in Scam Accusations.
Quote It will certainly make arbitrage easier, and as a result stabilize the price. Of course the fat cats will manipulate the hell out of it and every hacker out there is going to target it. Interesting nonetheless. I will watch this
or this

Quote Taringa doesn't display properly on my device, I'll have to see if it looks better when I'm at my desktop. From what I could see it looked like a bunch of copy pasta memes n stuff. No different than the other social media sites. I'll also have to do some Google translating to see how original the original content is. Maybe the paid contributors do a better job? I belong to empeopled which pays for posts, comments and up votes. It's ok. Not very big and entirely just posted links. I'd like to see the idea take off though. Especially if it would generate some actual original original content

Quote I was just reading something that mike Hearn wrote over at zapchain; “I think it's really good news that bigger financial institutions are getting involved. It lends a lot of credibility. However it's also a time limited offer: right now there's a lot of blockchain hype, but the blockchain algorithm is pretty specific to the needs of Bitcoin. It's not as generally applicable as some people like to think. So I suspect if they're mostly just looking around, some of these organisations will lose interest at some point.”
Relevant. I'm agreeing that these banks either like what they see or drop the whole thing altogether. It'll be clear which by next winter IMO
and it goes on and on.
I'm not really upset that posts were removed... past is past and you can see nothing really earthshaking has been deleted, but i am curious as to why i am being delete-bombed like this. is it some sort of attack, or is it a glitch? is this happening to anyone else?
all i can think is it is some sort of attack against signature campaigners by some butthurt user...
just the same, i feel these actions are an abuse of the system and i just wanted to make it known to the mods as well as all the other users at these forums...

Get ready to dump some coins because a mini spike is going to happen in the next 48 hrs. How do I know? You ask...
Because I just sold some btc. If it works out the same as every other time I've needed to liquidate, the price will go up at least 15 dollars before tomorrow night.
Just a friendly heads up

I was just reading about how BTCC is offering priority tx to users. If they want faster confirmations they pay extra and get pushed to the next block. BTCC has 13% of the network so I guess this method might work pretty good (for speeding up the tx in question) but I fear that all manner of negatives will come with it. If BTCC can make profits at this more parties will start doing it, pools and groups will form, it will be like mining where there is an arms race. Then it is all over the place and regular little tx fee transactions will take forever (like when stress testing)
I realize not all transactions require super fast confirmation but some types are dependant on it. Is this going to kick off a new arms race? What can be done to stop this before it gets out of hand? Bigger blocks? Are we finally going to see btc's inability to scale?
I've got a bad feeling about this but I don't understand the tech enough. Need I worry?
EDIT I just saw a thing on the Lightning Network which I didn't 100% understand but get enough of to see it is different than this (off chain) would Alan not be the perfect remedy to prioritized tx?

I was just wondering about how detrimental dust can be to miners. I had my BFL 60 in my basement and it worked fine until it simply stopped. Fan runs makes noise but no hashes. The only thing I can see is that there is a fair amount of dust and dirt in my unfinished basement. Could this be what killed my miner? What can I do to remedy it?

Hi, I got my BFL 60ghs ASIC just before the 2013 bubble (thankfully because I was able to pay for the year late thing and make a bit of profit before the difficulty edged me out of the game) I eventually unplugged it and put it aside because it wasn't making much btc and I needed to do work on the room it ran in Last week I thought I'd fire it up again just for the hell of it but it does not seem to work any more. I think it is a software problem because it seems to make the right noises like it used to but the program it came with just says nothing is connected. Is there a new software bundle or a better software bundle I can use? I'm not interested in talking to BFL as they are assh*les but I seem to recal there was some sort of software issues from their end around after I unplugged.
I'm using an acer notebook with Windows to run it
