43  Economy / Games and rounds / [1 BTC Bounty] Explain Bitcoin in one Sentence on: November 24, 2015, 09:26:04 AM
I did this exact same contest around 2 years ago and got some cool answers (I tried looking for the thread but couldn't find it. If someone could find it & link it that'd be great!).

Things have now changed a lot and I'd love to see some new responses. I'm always asked in real life what Bitcoin is, and it's great to be able to sum it up quick and easy whilst also getting the person intrigued! It's easy to get caught up in rambling on about Bitcoin leaving the person asking the simple question dumb founded. Summing it quick & easily whilst also leaving them interested is the best way to get them to continue the question and further look into the amazing world of Bitcoin!

To make things fun the best response will receive 1 BTC credited to their Primedice.com account.

Post your one sentence explanation of Bitcoin & Primedice username to enter. I'll choose a winner in 7 days from this post. I'll be sure to notify you via PM if you win!

Looking forward to some awesome responses & being able to answer this question more accurately in the future! Hopefully this will also help other members of the community explain Bitcoin to people asking this common question.

48  Economy / Services / [5 BTC Bounty] Primedice Media/Graphics Search on: August 10, 2015, 05:26:04 AM

Primedice is hosting another creative competition. The last one was a great success with over 100 entree's & $1000's of BTC given away!

Edit: For Youtube video's, the likes/dislikes the video receive will not affect the outcomes. Videos with more dislikes & likes (The combined amount, not simply the amount of likes) will usually be considered better community feedback. We noticed in the last competition people thought dislike botting others videos will give them a higher chance of winning - this is NOT the case and will only actually HELP your competition out most likely Smiley.

What should the video have in it?

Anything Primedice related! Be creative. Here's some examples off the top of my head:

 - Lucky betting sequences
 - Lucky faucet runs
 - Promotional/advertisement video
 - Information or guides on how to play Primedice
 - A review or overview of Primedice
 - Fun or funny chat moments
 - Maybe even a bit of all the above?

Here's some examples of some Primedice relate videos, including winners form our last competition.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y10xxJpngN8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38GJPelBqZo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKCHPT3Pzjo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk2_LCIokBQ

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVKtlsvphZI

Keep in mind those are only examples, you can do anything what so ever! Just make an entertaining video related to Primedice!

What should a Primedice graphic have in it?

 - Aspects we can use to advertise Primedice
 - Funny or entertaining aspects of Primedice
 - Stuff we can potentially post on our social media
 - Good grammar & spelling
 - Originality
 - Try and follow the branding colours of Primedice

Video & Image Rules

 - Videos/images must be original and not copied from someone else
 - Video must have Primedice in the Youtube title
 - Image must have Primedice or the Primedice logo visible
 - Video must be posted on Youtube
 - Video must be posted publicly on youtube (not unlisted/private)

Image Prizes

 - 1st place: 1 BTC
 - 2nd place: 0.25 BTC
 - 3rd place: 0.25 BTC
 - 4th place: 0.2 BTC
 - 5th place: 0.2 BTC
 - 6th - 12th place: 0.1 BTC

Video Prizes

 - 1st place: 1 BTC
 - 2nd place: 0.25 BTC
 - 3rd place: 0.25 BTC
 - 4th place: 0.2 BTC
 - 5th place: 0.2 BTC
 - 6th - 12th place: 0.1 BTC

Winners will be decided on the 25th of August and will be chosen by the Primedice staff. The community's input will greatly influence our decision, so if you think a video is good let us know in the replies on this thread.

49  Economy / Services / Hiring: Web developer for JS game projects on: August 10, 2015, 04:45:39 AM
We'd like to find an extra person to help us out in creating a few games (think pinball) and will pay accordingly, hourly or lump sum. Time and schedule is flexible and we ask for a generally "part-time job" style of focus.

What we would ask for you to do is to create a 2D game using HTML5 provided features like Canvas. It will have animations, sound and reasonable browser compatibility. We want someone who has preferably made games before or has a proven track record. You should be comfortable with making API requests to get information such as game outcome. You can use whatever tools you see fit to create a game within reasonable bounds, as long as the game is lightweight and works decently across browsers.

Please PM us relevant experience info with examples of things you've made.

Oh, I don't know if your recent giveaway was only one per person but I strongly believe that most of if not all of the following accounts belong to the same person (Eal f Skills). If you check their accounts on PD I'm sure you'll find some correlation (same IPs/proxies or more likely a shared computer etc - unless he's been very smart):

We missed these giveaways. Smiley

Almost all of the above accounts that are claiming the PD giveaway share the same Non Tor/VPN IP as EAL on their Primedice accounts. This is petty low level giveaway scamming, I wouldn't trust EAL given this information and I don't think he should remain a Staff member of this forum.

I'd like to hear more opinions on this as it isn't malicious "scamming", it's just dishonest behavior/abuse. What really pisses me off is that I've paid him for half a year to advertise PD and dealt with him in an honest and professional manner and he chose to game our bitcointalk giveaway for such a trivial amount. I had previously positive trusted him twice.

52  Economy / Gambling / Important announcement from Primedice on: April 30, 2015, 06:52:56 AM
Friends,

Effective immediately Primedice will no longer accept deposits from visitors located within certain jurisdictions including the US. While Primedice is neither operated nor based in the USA, we've chosen to take proactive measures to mitigate long term risk for our users and service. The legal landscape is quickly shifting and we are choosing to completely block deposits from users located in what we've deemed as higher risk jurisdictions.

Primedice does not make use of US currency nor banking, and this block is not recognition that bitcoin gambling is illegal. This decision has been solely based off of discussions between Primedice and our legal counsel.

I know this news will disappoint many of you, however we're strong believers in Bitcoin and are playing defensively to secure our long term position at the top of this rapidly growing industry.  We're confident that every major online casino will accept Bitcoin within the next five years and we're determined to compete directly with them by continuing to create new disruptive experiences. We've been lucky enough to see the transformative power of Bitcoin with regards to gambling from a first hand perspective and are confident this is the right decision moving forward.

Thank You,

Primedice Team

54  Economy / Gambling / Bitcoin Gambling Discussion Forum (With awesome tips for good content!) on: March 01, 2015, 05:32:55 AM
http://blog.primedice.com/post/112383853857/introducing-our-bitcoin-gambling-subreddit

Quote
www.reddit.com/r/Primedice

As the Bitcoin gambling community grows we've been working on creating a place to discuss the topic. People love talking about gambling and sharing their experiences (Good or bad) as indicated by how active our chat is. But a live chat can only go so far and express so much!

Current gambling forums like the Bitcointalk gambling sub section mainly focus on advertising of websites and feedback regarding them. That's not always that much fun for users. We want to fill a void and create a place for people to talk about their gambling experiences - Because lets be honest, all punters love to talk about gambling!

We've created the community www.reddit.com/r/primedice not only to discuss the topic, but to promote Bitcoin gambling as a whole. The forum will not be dedicated to solely Primedice, but all forms of Bitcoin gambling, whether a competitor of ours or not. Moderation will not be biased to Primedice in any way what so ever, we're even thinking of getting some moderators from other top websites.

The Type of Discussion we're Aiming for

Bitcoin gambling videos or images
Bitcoin gambling news, articles & regulation
Outstanding or fun Bitcoin gambling sites
Bitcoin gambling site reviews or scam accusations
Big wins or streaks of luck (Or bad luck!)
Sportsbook discussion & picks
Bitcoin gambling strategies
Website suggestions or complaints
Referral or affiliate marketing discussion
This is only a few examples from the top of my head, but as long as it's to do with Bitcoin gambling it's all good!

Tipping

Primedice staff and mods will constantly be tipping good content through the amazing Changetip service. We've already given out over 3 BTC so far!

(Over $640 sent)

So come join the discussion and subscribe! If you don't have a Reddit account you can make one within seconds!

Let me know any suggestions or feedback you may have on this idea and how you think we can make it work out. It'd be great to have a place for punters to collaborate about general gambling stuff (Not in competition with Bitcointalk which is aimed at feedback/advertising as I said).

-White hat methods only
-Needs to guarantee www.primedice.com a top 15 rank on bitcoin gambling

Primedice is the most popular bitcoin gambling site by users/page views so it shouldn't be a major difficulty it currently ranks 1st for "bitcoin dice". There may be bad, spammy backlinks that need to be removed/disavowed

Payment will be fair and pre-determined depending on ranks. No results = no payment

PM me only if you're confident you can do this.
