21  Economy / Scam Accusations / Reverse a scam? on: May 07, 2013, 10:49:43 PM
So...I paid 150 LTC and received nothing.

LKJNemV1Uc9jJeZhL2S4DTwTgF98wnsLns

is the address...so please if you are requested to send to this...know that the owner is a scammer and deserves to rot in a maggoty disease ridden corpse because of how much shit he extrudes from his pores.

Son of a bitch I wish I could track this fucker down and feed him to a roach farm.

Be careful folks...it's really easy to get conned..use escrow and distrust those that push for faster payments (Crypto's are fast as hell as is)...this fuck probably takes others for even more than he got me for...tried to get me to send an additional 100...I didn't fall for it...but others might have.

Live and learn...oh and sign up for freebies...if it weren't for learning that my free ripple became worth a lot of money yesterday...I'd feel much worse...but I'm still up, and still breathing...wishing Clue4 would trip onto a rusty knife through his neck.

24  Economy / Auctions / Auctioning web domain... DoYouBitcoin.com on: May 02, 2013, 08:42:41 PM
Bought this with the intention of making a newbie site...but time constraints have left me hard pressed to do anything with it.

Let's start the bids at 0.25 BTC

www.DoYouBitcoin.com

We can do a straight deal and I'll transfer all ownership rights to you, or we can do escrow through someone on this site, but any fees they charge will be paid by the buyer, I'm not a long time member, but I'm trustworthy and have people here who can vouch for that...really I just want someone to make this site cool.  Anything that benefits btc benefits me now too!
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Please help! My wallets are trapped on a corrupt HDD! on: April 08, 2013, 03:17:08 AM
Huh My Bitcoin & Litecoin wallets (which I was attempting to backup) have been trapped on my HDD!

I was running linux ubuntu 12.10, and started getting an error message with a red alert message, so I was trying to figure out
how to backup my wallets when the computer froze.  I rebooted and it started hanging at boot.  I took out the
drive and attempted to connect it to my desktop to see if I could recover the files, only to discover that it was
not displaying the entire drive (it's 500gb and it displayed only 250).  It seems like the drive may have a bad
sector or something, and my wallets and private keys are stored on there alone, there were no other backups successfully
made (in truth I hadn't found the damned file I was supposed to backup because I'm still unfamiliar with linux).

I don't trust Best Buy or even local computer shops that don't know about Bitcoin, anyone know of anything I might try?
I would prefer a professional take a look as I don't want to do anything that might further damage the data, but a professional
that understands bitcoin and has a reputation of not screwing people.

This is absolutely amazing...I should have been into this since I told my friend who has now become one of the writers for Bitcoin magazine.  Alas...I've finally got some skin in the game.  I fully intend to become a part of this community...and when my hemp farm becomes operational, bitcoin may be a welcome exchange for some of my wares (like a hemp home...hempcrete, checkitout!).

And the fact that some of the value of this currency has been derived from my most loved plant, makes this all the better.

Anyway, back to the question...is building a mining rig worthwhile right now, or is the complication factor such that it is better to trade straight currency for bitcoin?  In other words, where should I be spending my money right now on bitcoin...it's such a volatile market, but I see infrastructure being built, and Forbes articles, pointing this in the right direction...so what should us newbies do, build a rig and mine in a pool, or buy and hope to hell it takes off even more...like it is?
