1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Dust covers on miners? on: November 09, 2017, 01:02:13 PM
I have a few Antminers with 120mm fan intakes - has anyone added 120mm dust covers to them?

Any pro/con (apart from obvuisly less dust going into them)?

4  Economy / Goods / 3D printing - to order - UK on: October 25, 2017, 10:12:32 AM
I have a couple of 3D printers (Prusa i3 clones - with a load of custom mods and upgrades for higher quailty finishes) that i'm thinking of setting up for bespoke prints.

Would anyone be interested? I can either print provided 3D designs or design and print items on order.

I currently can print at 0.3mm and 0.4mm at layer heights from 0.05mm to 0.4mm layers (depending on requirements, size and timings) using a multitude of coloured PLA.

I have produced a couple of prop replicas for friends and a number of custom items for work.

Please PM or comment on this post for more information.

Prices will be arranged per person and dependant on quality, colour and timings (and obviously BTC value)

6  Economy / Computer hardware / 3D Printed GPU Mounts - UK on: October 24, 2017, 01:46:34 PM
I'm prototyping some 3D printed GPU mounts (singular GPU) - my own design (not the one from thingiverse!)

I'm not sure on prices atm but i can do them in most colours (PLA atm)

Would anyone be interested?

8  Other / Off-topic / Best 3D design software for 3D printers? on: December 15, 2015, 04:41:34 PM
Hi guys,

I am looking into getting a 3D printer but before i make the jump i want to get a few designs built to see if i can get the hand of it.

any recommendations for software packages that i should use? I have looked at blender and that seems to tick all my boxes apart from having some simple tutorials and also looked at 3D slash but that seems too simple for what I'm planning to build in 3D as it only works on the minecraft principles of cubes.

I'm basically looking to design and build some custom scenery models and bases for my warhammer figures at the moment.

15  Other / Off-topic / New performance PC on: October 17, 2014, 09:13:38 PM
I have 2 7950s left over from mining, i want to rebuild my main PC - it gets used for everything.

I want to build a reasonably good rig - that can use all my components optimally Wink

I have an InWin Track case, 2x 7950s, evga supernova 850w, 120GB SanDisk SSD, 3TB HDD so looking for a new motherboard, CPU and RAM.

Have a budget of around 1BTC/250/$380/350euro

any recommendations.
16  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS - UK - 9 Chili Miners on: September 15, 2014, 10:18:31 AM
I have 9 Chili miners to sell or swap - 5 MrTeal (5x30Ghz) and 4 Luckos (2 faulty)

The two faulty miners have been flashed with the wrong firmware and will work fine (if you can get the slow rise firmware on them!)

The MrTeal miners all have Arctic Mono GPU coolers and the Luckos have a Coolermaster CM212 cooler - i am happy to ship with the coolers as these are probably the most valuable item Wink
17  Bitcoin / Mining support / Replacement/Additional Antminer S1 fan? on: September 10, 2014, 02:56:25 PM
I have 3 S1 miners all with a single fan, i'm planning on OC'ing them buit i want to keep them cool - does anyone recommended a particular fan to replace or add as an additional fan for push/pull configuration? Ive tried a standard delta 250CFM fan (non PWM) and it was nice and cool but not very quiet Wink

Would any 120mm PWM 38mm fan be ok? (Any recommendations for high CFM & low noise?)

20  Bitcoin / Mining support / Solo Mining Questions on: July 08, 2014, 02:33:31 PM
Due to not wanting to get rid of my old ASICs I've decided that I'm going to play the solo miner lottery Wink

I have 24x USB 333Mhash miners and 1x 2.2GHash connected to a machine mining away configured to solo mine (using BFGMiner):

c:\tools\bfgminer-4.4.0\bfgminer.exe -o -u username -p x --coinbase-addr 1bSfiAptKHTNUe8WWbkHd5rGGnTmLgeWn -S all --set-device antminer:clock=x0981

to my Bitcoin node with the following bitcoin.conf file:

(ive changed the username/password/ip)

Today after noticing that one of my chili miners (was also conected) had gone sick - i restarted the miner and within a few moments there was an accepted share (from one of the USB block erupters!) Cheesy

How can i check on my node that the accepted share has been processed and that i will get my 25 BTC (if i did actually find a block) without sitting and waiting for 120 blocks to decide whether I have mined anything or that the miner glitched and shouldnt have said it accepted a share (or was connected to my backup pool - which says it hasnt accepted any shares in months)?

I have looked in my debug.log file and i have been looking for proof-of-work found and not found anything around the time that i restarted the miner

Can you also tell me what the messages below mean?
