6  Bitcoin / Mining / 10 - 15k in mining equipment on: May 02, 2011, 01:51:13 AM
Hey all,

Mining noob here just wanted some expert opinions on what kind of equipment people would buy if they had 10-15k to spend on a new setup.  What cards would you buy?  Are towers ok or is a rack preferable?  Should you run them in crossfire or individually?  I know the economics of mining are controversial so I'm just trying to gather more info on the subject.  Smiley

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / [Resolved]Problem: Missing Bitcoins??? on: April 24, 2011, 01:46:00 AM

Someone sent me two transactions this afternoon and they are not showing up in my wallet.  I ran a search on Blockexplorer and it shows they were sent.  My client has downloaded all the blocks.

I was messing around a little during the time when the transactions may have been sent, and I had my wallet.dat file out of the bitcoin folder for a bit and was messing with the encryption software.  Would this cause it to lose the addresses it generated for those transactions or something?  I'm so confused and hoping someone can help me get these back.  What the hell happened?

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / [closed]Transaction search on: April 24, 2011, 01:29:22 AM
Can someone please post the page where I can search to see if a transaction went through?

[Edit: Found it]

14  Economy / Marketplace / [For Sale] A Way to Spread the Bitcoin Word on: April 22, 2011, 07:05:59 PM
As a way to help get the Bitcoin message out into the "real" world, I'm offering some Bitcoin stickers.

My thought is that we can start putting them up in public places where more people might see them.  This will hopefully pique their curiosity and lead them to the Bitcoin community.

To that end I've created this sticker:

The sticker measures 4"x4" and I'm currently listing them at 3 2BTC the btc equivalent of $2 each, the proceeds of which will be reinvested in the promotion of Bitcoins and the community.  Shipping is free and only to the US for now.  Please PM me if you're interested, and feel free to post here with your thoughts/suggestions.

(mining rig and cat not included  Smiley)

Edit:  Pm me for pricing on larger orders.
Edit2: Isn't it great owning an appreciating currency?   Grin
