2  Economy / Economics / Is hodling good for Bitcoin, and how its affecting it? on: April 21, 2018, 04:00:05 PM
In most advice people can find that holding bitcoins is best choice, but is that really best for Bitcoin? I can't but ask my self, what would happen if we all would just hold our coins? Only answer that comes to my mind is, bubble would occur and bad things would happen.

I don't deny that so far holding has proven to be one of best ways of earning extra money, but bitcoin is made to be currency and not asset. So for strong and stable price we need constant flow, which mean constant transactions of buying and selling, not mostly buying and holding. So if we really wish for bitcoin to success in its goal, we must start using it more frequently (at least as much as we can). Number of holders must not be higher than number of "users".

What are you thoughts on the matter?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Advice regarding risers and GPUs on: April 10, 2018, 07:07:05 PM
Recently I got two  GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8G GPUs, and bought 2 risers for them. With those risers I got SATA powering cables, so I connected them and everything worked fine... or so I thought. Luckily not long after I have discovered that those SATA powering cables are overheating. First I thought that those cables was of low quality and got new ones. But that didn't help. So I looked online for explanation and I have found some. Connecting those SATA was wrong choice, because they can not give enough power for risers if I understood correctly.

What I want to know is, is changing this SATA cables for 6-pin only solution or is there others, and if so which? Also I found out that powering risers from same line as you GPU is good choice, is that correct? Won't it took too much power from that line and leave GPU with less than sufficient power? Also recently I notice that Led lamp for power is blinking in random intervals, which indicate abnormal power supply and I'm not sure why. Because this GPUs requires 150W each and PSU that I have should have enough power to supply them both.

I have MasterWatt Lite 230V 700W PSU 80% certified.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention. I used two separate SATA lines for powering those two risers. Also I have two separated lines of 8-pins for supplying GPUs.
4  Other / Meta / Question about Negative trust on: February 24, 2018, 07:46:34 PM
Can I give negative trust to member for poor management of a signature campaign?

Many members including me, were in this ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2949276.0 ) signature campaign for one week.

When the time for payment came, campaign manager told us that he has contacted people from Escrow coin group, and that he will receive funds within 7 hours. So we waited till tomorrow like he said.
Post link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2949276.msg30932056#msg30932056

Next day he said that "we" got scammed by people that runs Escrow coin project. Post link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2949276.msg30980089#msg30980089
Also, in that post he said we can see full description of scam on this link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3013252.msg30979958#msg30979958

In topic (in which he reported scam), he said that he asked for funds 4 days ago.  Also you can see there, some chat of his where he tries to get our payment.

Conclusion: He accepted to menage campaign and offered payment to other members, which he didn't have. Also he didn't warn us about funds, and when one member asked about escrow he said this ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2949276.msg30303885#msg30303885 ). He stayed silent even when he didn't receive funds after 4 days. He lied to us and said he will get funds within 7 hours, only to announce afterward that "we" have been scammed...

Its not about payment i didn't get. I just want him to get negative trust, so that he could not run another campaign. It would be bad if more people go through things like this.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin & other Countries cryptocurrency on: October 06, 2017, 03:48:05 PM
This is not first time that i heard or read about some country that wants to make their own cryptocurrency. Today i have read from news that Russia is considering of making their own cryptocurrency, "kryptorubel" or something like that. Do you think that is possible, and what result will it have on the world of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin? Will every country consider or try to make their own cryptocurrency? And what do you think about position of Bitcoin in that race? What kind of impact will it have on Bitcoin? Will it be good for Bitcoin or maybe bad?
6  Economy / Economics / Moment for buying or selling? on: May 13, 2017, 10:40:56 AM
I was thinking, because of Bitcoin price skyrocketed, would it be wise to buy bitcoin now? I have some bitcoin in wallet, but nothing much, and i was thinking to buy some bitcoin more. But because of price rising in last few days i am not sure what to do, because if i buy now, maybe price will go down and ill lose profit, or maybe it will go up and i did not buy so ill lose profit too. What are your thinking on matter and what do you think how much will price of bitcoin rise this year?
7  Other / Off-topic / Is Religion slowly dying? on: May 09, 2017, 10:59:27 AM
More and more i come across people who say that they do not believe in God and religion teachings. Atheistic population is starting to get bigger and bigger. Does this mean that it is time for religion to die, or maybe it is time to evolve in something else? Maybe Buddhism is becoming worlds religion, or maybe it will be some mixture of Europe religions and Buddhism? I am interested what do you guys think, what are your views on matter and what do you think will happen in future? Will there be no religion, or maybe some kind of other teaching?
