1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Question about Gridseed G-Blade PSU on: May 24, 2014, 10:18:09 AM
I just bought 2 G-Blades, but didn't realize they didn't come with a power supply. Zoomhash is charging $25 per PSUs, with 2 PSUs per unit. Instead of spending a hundred dollars to power these blades, I decided to look online for a cheaper alternative. I found http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1811261 in a quick google search. With 2 of these PSUs, I could power both for only ~$70. I was trigger happy and bought the parts listed below, thinking I would just make my own cables. I realized after I checked out from amazon that the hardforum post was for the pods, not the blades.

My question: Is the barrel jack the same connector between the pods and blades?

What do you guys think? Too late in the game? Is 30 GH/s worth it at this point?

4  Other / Beginners & Help / Anyone know where the VRM is on a 7950? on: March 13, 2013, 12:06:15 AM
Here are some pictures.

I hear the sapphire doesn't have a heatsink on the vrm, and the gigabyte does.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / I want to build a mining rig. on: March 11, 2013, 04:59:41 PM
I bought 2 7950s so far, but don't have anything to put them in. What do you guys think would be the best option? I'd like the ability to support up to 4 cards, so I guess minimum requirements would be 4 pcie slots and a psu big enough to power 4 cards. Thoughts?
