"US Inflation Faster Than Expected in September, Bitcoin Falls"BTC price 1-Day chart. Source: bitstamp "The Consumer Price Index – the most widely watched gauge to track inflationary pressure in the U.S. – rose 8.2% in September from the same month a year ago, slightly higher than the 8.1% forecasted by economists. The index rose 0.4% from August." Last time I made a thread about the increase in the U.S. consumer prices and its impact on the crypto market was in June, we saw the same behaviour in the market

Bitcoin and the crypto market went down today after reports came out that the US inflation rate hit 40-year high in May US Inflation Quickens to 40-Year HighBTC price chart. Source: bitstamp "Despite hopes that the worst of the inflationary period was over, May's CPI print came in at 1% month-on-month and 8.6% year-on-year — a return to levels not seen since 1981. Estimates had only forecast around half as much of a jump for last month. Bitcoin immediately felt the pinch as the market appeared to balk at the prospect of further monetary tightening to tame increasingly aggressive price increases." Thoughts?

I was watching a Counter Strike (a multiplayer video game) professional match today and i saw a small Coinbase ad right in the middle of the match. Went to google to see what's up with that and wouldn't you know it, Coinbase are one of the main sponsors of this event + i also found out they've started a sponsorship with a popular esport team called Evil Geniuses "Digital worlds of esports and cryptocurrency to meet in BLAST Premier and Coinbase deal"" Largest cryptocurrency exchange platform in the United States to sponsor esports tournament organiser’s Spring Season

*self-moderated...obviously[Overview] Sportsbooks odds/margin comparisons (Esports edition) **Disclaimer: I am not vouching for any of the bookmakers listed in this post. Do your own research before playing in any of these betting sites.*** Comparison tables format are based off of DarkStar_'s Overview of Bitcoin Accepting Sportsbooks thread. Contents (click to go to that section of the overview)What is MarginTools used for the odds/margins comparisonMarkets usedType of events usedGames usedSportsbooks used and small overview Crypto Sportsbooks & Casinos Esports bookiesMargins comparisonCounter-Strike: Global OffensiveLeague of LegendsDota 2Rocket LeagueOverwatchRainbow Six SiegeStarcraft IIBrood WarValorantHearthstoneWarcraft III-Misc-What is MarginFrom Wikipedia: Vigorish (also known as juice, under-juice, the cut, the take, the margin, the house edge or simply the vig) is the fee charged by a bookmaker (or bookie) for accepting a gambler's wager. Pinnacle also explain what Margin is here and they also have a very helpful article explaining " Sports betting profitability and the affect of margins" TL;DR: lower margins means higher potential profits over time. To maximize your winnings, you want to go to the bookmaker offering the best odds/lower margins. Tools used for the odds/margins comparisonPinnacle's Margin Calculator https://www.pinnacle.com/en/betting-resources/betting-tools/margin-calculatorMarkets usedThe three most popular markets in Esports betting: 1) Match Winner 2) Map Handicap 3) Total maps Type of events usedI picked the highest tier tournament for each Esport that i could find over the last few months. These are the type of tournaments that everyone will be watching and betting on given their importance in the circuit. So, i figure the bookmakers would try to compete with each other to offer the best odds in these tournaments, more especifically, in the Grand Finals of each tourney, so that they can attract more punters, which is why i thought that it the best opportunity to check and compare their margins. Games usedCurrent games: League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Starcraft II, Starcraft Brood War, Rocket League, Overwatch, Rainbow Six, Valorant, Hearthstone, Warcraft III May be added in the future: Quake, Fortnite, FIFA, Diabotical, Street Fighter V, Apex, Smash Bros Sportsbooks used and small overviewI'll be using two different categories to list all the different bookies that i used in this comparison thread (click sportsbook logo to go to their website): 1) Crypto sportsbooks & casinosI chose these books because they are some of the most popular and well-established sites in the crypto gambling space. These books offer a wide variety of esports games, decent betting markets and many options to deposit in crypto. ("i don't see X or Y bookie, where is it?" read here) | lmao

Most of these bookies offer extremely good betting markets in all the big titles like CSGO, LoL and Dota, they also offer many promotions and bonuses focused entirely on esports, and, as you'll see in the table below, most of them have a wider games offering than the crypto sportsbooks & casinos.Margins comparisonHere's a link to a spreadsheet with all the raw data I used + some notes here and there. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V6kMsB-mhltqh-te0SVcYwA8yayLYSFB3jGHLKVktM0- Blank spaces in the tables mean that the bookmaker did not offer that market. - If you don't see a bookmaker in a comparison table is because the site either didn't offer the tourney that I used to calculate margins (and i couldn't find another tourney to fill in the blanks) or it doesn't offer that specific game. - If you see two or more bookies with the exact same odds, it wasn't a typo, some of these bookies use the same odds provider and they'll more often than not offer the same odds in certain lines.
I'll try to update ALL the margins on a monthly basis or whenever there's a top tier tournament ongoing (so you might wanna bookmark this thread in case you're interested in future margins updates). I may use rounding in the next updates rather than using one single match to gather the data.
Continue below... (i had to split the posts because you get a forum error when trying to post too many of tables)

Esports General Thread Given the rise of Esports over the last few years, and considering that there are some esports fans & bettors in this forum, I've decided to create a "General Esports Thread". Here we will post picks, provide insight about matches, and talk about news and competitions. Hopefully, this thread can become the hub of Esports discussion in the Gambling discussion board so that you don't have to jump from one thread to another thread and the another one just to talk about esports. Make yourself at home and... gg (:

If you're an Aptoide user, then you better go and change your acc info ASAP! The website was hacked and a big chunk of their database (20 mllion accounts) has been leaked. Data leaked today that can be classified as "personal identifable information" includes details such as the user's email address, hashed password, real name, sign-up date, sign-up IP address, device details, and date of birth (if provided).
Other details also include technical information such as account status, sign-up tokens, developer tokens, if the account was a super admin, or referral origin. Source: https://www.zdnet.com/article/details-of-20-million-aptoide-app-store-users-leaked-on-hacking-forum/
Change the info of your Aptoide account as well as the password of your email address associated with your account (or better yet, get rid of that email and create a new one, it's already been made public and it'll most likely be the target of email scams + spam in the future).
