Bitcoin / Armory / Remote bitcoind?
|
on: June 06, 2015, 10:28:40 PM
|
I was wondering if there is a possible way to have Armory on my computer and Bitcoin-QT/bitcoind on a Raspberry Pi or another computer? I am trying to accomplish the same goal as this post, but didn't want to necro it. Thanks!

Other / New forum software / Markdown / BBC / HTML?

Quick question / feature request. What type of text codes are supported by the forum? BBC and Markdown? HTML? I would love it if we had the option to choose, I am familiar with BBC but want to get more familiar with markdown for GitHub & Wikipedia edits. Does the forum already have one in place? (I imagine it would be BBC) Thanks!

Not sure if this is intended or not, but on the login page there are 2 links that both lead to the same place (One is a Redirect). Nothing major, just thought you might want to know!

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / PPA not updated to 0.10.0?
|
on: February 16, 2015, 04:08:08 PM
|
Hello! I finally decided to download Bitcoin Core instead of just using online wallets, and have a question. My OS is Ubuntu trusty (14.04), and I am using the official PPA from here, and noticed one thing. The new official Bitcoin Core version is 0.10.0, but the PPA is only at 0.9.4. Is the PPA I am using out of date, or am I just forgetting something obvious? Either way, thanks for the help!

Other / New forum software / Spoilers!
|
on: January 27, 2015, 12:59:53 AM

I checked around for a bit to see if it was proposed, but I didn't find anything. I propose as a new feature to the forum, spoilers, AKA collapsible text. I didn't see it on the list of requirements or on another topic. Here is an image I pulled off of Google as an example: If we had that feature, we could make that image in a spoiler tag for it not to take up as much space! If this was already posted, let me know, thanks!

Hello! Sometime in the future I am going to buy a new server for my stuff. I plan for it to be: - Minecraft \ Gaming Server
- Teamspeak or Mumble Server
- Possibly a Bitcoin Node
And several possible others. It will use Ubuntu OS, and it will be on 24/7. I am trying to stay low cost. Please rate, suggest, and comment on it! This is the first time I have ever built a PC, so let me know what I should watch out for. I also have a few parts laying around the house like a monitor, some RAM, a mouse, a keyboard, etc. Thanks! Other / New forum software / Option to block TOR IPs / IPs outside of Country / Account login history
|
on: July 09, 2014, 03:18:00 PM

I recently was hacked, and several of my other accounts were too. They have the history of what IP logged in and when. They also let me block IPs outside of a set of boundaries, like no TOR IPs and no IPs outside of the US just for your account. I was wondering if this is possible for the new forum software, to make accounts securer for people that don't use TOR without effecting others.

I am sure it has been mentioned before, but I cannot find the topic. I was wondering if there is a plan to add support for Tapatalk or an Official App or a Mobile format, something. Tapatalk would be great because it is wisely used, just without the popup on all mobile devices saying 'Download Tapatalk!', etc. Any plan would be great, Good luck with the new software!

Hello! I am HeroCC, and I am looking to sell my Trend Micro AV code. I got a new computer (*yay!*) for christmas, and it came with a Trend Micro code, valid for three devices. I am looking to sell it for 0.1BTC About $80. It is valid for one year, and it comes with future updates. I do not need it because I already have another AV (For the curious, I use avast!). If you want to use escrow, feel free to! (I recommend Kludge, he is a reputable member, and does not require fees.) If you want to buy, PM me, and we will start the process. I have never sold anything on here, let me know if I need to change anything. Pics: Sorry for my bad handwriting / image taking skills.

Economy / Service Discussion / BitListen.com Not Working
|
on: September 01, 2013, 04:58:28 PM
|
I want to try to use BitListen.com. I am using Firefox Beta v24. When I try to enable blockchain.info or MtGox, it says 'No browser support'. So the I disabled NoScript, DNT+, and ABP on the domain. But it says it still doesnt work. Then I checked the Console, and say it said 'No websocket Support'. But I know Firefox supports Websocket. I will be willing to give a full list of enabled plugins if needed. I appreciate any help, Thanks!

Other / Meta / Why are my signature links removed?
|
on: August 19, 2013, 03:34:29 AM
|
All of the links in my signature are bit.ly links, so I can see how many people visit them. But now, they ate all replaced with the forum warning, and do not work. I would rather not un-bitly them, because I want to see how many people click them. Can I please be whitelisted or something? And when I go to change them in my profile the warning is not in the box so I cannot remove the warnings manually. I know it is for safety, but you can un-whitelist me. If not, it is understandable.
Thanks!
HeroC.

I am trying to be as secure when browsing as possible with all the NSA surveillance. So I am trying to find some good privacy plugins. I currently use NoScript, DNTme, and sometimes a VPN/Proxy. Are there any others you would suggest? I am using Firefox Beta. Thanks!

Bitcoin / Mining support / How to use BFGMiner with a Block Erupter USB Miner
|
on: August 05, 2013, 10:48:29 PM

I am planning to get a Block Erupter and use it with BFG miner, but before I do, I want to know how to do it BEFORE I get the miner, so my question is, how do I use the Block Erupter with BFGMiner? I know there is a certain command to do, but I want to know before I get it.

Bitcoin / Mining support / Will this take any Processing power?
|
on: August 05, 2013, 10:39:34 PM
|
Hello!
I am planing to get a USB Miner, and I have a server, but I cannot afford to give any CPU to the miner. If I use, lets say BFGMiner and point it to my miner, will it take up any of the computers CPU power? I am running a CPU intensive java program in the background, and cannot afford to loose any power to it. So my question is, If I set it up right, will it not take up any CPU, but still mine efficiently on the USB?

Bitcoin / BitcoinJ / Documentation?

Where is the download for the libraries? So far, I have not seen the download. I may create a test program for myself. Also, is there a website, or a place with documentation? It is there, but I am too lazy to find it myself.
