3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [266 BTE for sale] - best offers please.. on: April 29, 2013, 09:00:51 AM

I have 266 BTE i'd like to sell for either LTC or BTC.

Please reply with your best offer ( BTC takes priority if equal bid between BTC and LTC ).

I reserve the right to choose who I exchange with, ( likely, but not necessarily the best offer accepted ).

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [Bytecoin] network hashrate, wondering how it compares to other alt coins.. on: April 11, 2013, 09:51:57 AM

I see the network hashrate for Bytecoin is now showing as around 63 GH/s, ( from here http://pool.bytecoin.in/stats_netw.php )

Wondering how that compares with other coins ?

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / bitcoin source code vs bytecoin source code on: April 07, 2013, 01:18:59 AM
I ran

Code:
diff -r src.bit src.byte
where the src.bit and src.byte are directories with the source code from

https://github.com/bryan-mills/bytecoin

and https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin

The former forked from the latter.

The diff file is here - http://ge.tt/99o9ALd?c    <--- EDIT  made sure I was comparing 0.8.1 versions

Thought perhaps someone with more knowledge of bitcoin code ( or code in general ) could take a look, and give it a check ?

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bytecoin-Qt for Mac OS X on: April 06, 2013, 02:51:31 PM

After a mountain of hurdles, and learning curves today, ( its been fun ! ), I've built Bytecoin-Qt for Mac OS X

You can grab it here for now http://ge.tt/43pGKId/v/0?c

It was built on Mac OS Lion, x86_64. I wouldn't be surprised if it has problems on other versions, let me know if so, and apologies in advance if that is the case.

btw - I used the source code from https://github.com/bryan-mills/bytecoin

@BryanMills - please feel free to move to the location where you have the others for Win and Linux.

If you make use of this, and happen to feel like giving me a tip :

8  Other / Beginners & Help / trading namecoins for BTC on: March 21, 2013, 11:13:03 AM
If you have namecoins ( i've been mining them at bitminter pool ), and want to trade them for BTC, i discovered that you can do that at www.btc-e.com

Register at BTC-e, then look under finances section, ( link in top right hand corner of the site ), then hit the deposit button against NMC row, and it will give you a namecoin address to use to pay NMC into BTC-e, then once NMC there, you can trade for BTC

Just passing on my recent learnt knowledge from one newbie to another..

Any small BTC, NMC or Ripples donations appreciated, send to
