1  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 2 - MSI Twin Frozr 7950 or 2 - Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280x on: December 19, 2013, 05:01:06 PM
This is more of a feeler to see what kind of offers I receive and I will determine if it is worth it to sell them and hope I can get lucky and find some more reasonably priced cards.
I am in absolutely no rush to sell these. Only posting because I figured I would try and get a ridiculous price for them like others have.
I accept LTC (preferred) or BTC only.
Payment sent first (rep thread in sig) or we use John K. for escrow (buyer pays fee).
EDIT: Realized I missed some important information. Cards are located in Wisconsin. Buyer pays shipping.

Last night I got lucky and bought 2 - Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280x off of Amazon (only 12 were in stock before they sold out within 5 minutes).
I do not have them on hand, but they will be delivered to me tomorrow. (Thank you Amazon Prime)
Brand new. Will not open individual boxes for now.
Total purchase price after taxes: $705.36       Damn taxes.......   Angry

Also have 2 - MSI Twin Frozr 7950s
These were bought new from Amazon late April and early May of 2013.
These are not in a dedicated mining rig, so they are not run 24/7. (I use them quite often in crossfire for gaming)
They are in good shape, mine at 630-640 kh/s.
Cards stay under 70c at all times. They run consistently between 61 and 66. (66 is the card directly installed on mobo - without riser)
Only "issue" is the fans probably need to be cleaned up. (I have them running at a higher rpm than they probably should be to compensate for the sticky fans)

Pictures of 7950s:

I apologize for crappy pictures. (I usually run them using guiminer so I am not sure how to display them in the same cmd window with rpm and temp. sorry)

4  Economy / Digital goods / FREE Crysis 2 Maximum Edition (Steam) on: September 09, 2013, 12:50:09 PM
Purchased the Humble Bundle a few weeks back.

Included was Crysis 2 Maximum Edition. Well, I already have a copy of it for Steam so I do not need this key.

Not trying to sell, giving away to the first person to post.

If you feel like tossing me some BTC/LTC/DMD for it, please send to address in sig. (Not required)

PLEASE only post if you will actually use the key/play the game.
5  Economy / Goods / FS: 2003 Suzuki SV650S Located in Wisconsin (SOLD) on: September 06, 2013, 01:08:18 PM
Looking to sell my 2003 SV650S motorcycle for cash/BTC/LTC/VTC.
The bike is located in Franklin, Wisconsin (53132).

The bike runs great and is a lot of fun, but I am looking to put the money into car parts.
I don't get to ride it nearly as often as I would like.

The bike went in late last year for routine maintenance (change plugs, tires, sprockets, chain) and to replace the radiator and fan assembly, which I have the receipt for. (Motorcycle was dropped by previous owner)
The bike is 100% functional and I ride it every chance I get.
There is some cosmetic damage to the front and rear fairings, one of the bar ends is missing, one of the frame covers is missing, and it has a little beat up shift lever. (See pictures)

Looking to get ~$2,500 for the bike. ($2,750 including a jacket, kevlar jeans, moto shoes, helmet, gloves, and cover)

((Ticker removed))

If you are interested or having any questions (Or if I missed any important pieces of information), post here or PM me.

Information on bike:

Bought - Amazon GC from JohnGalt (Used JohnK as escrow since the GC were physical and were mailed to me)
Bought - Amazon GC from shibaji (I sent BTC first, and received the GC in my emails minutes later)
Sold - One of my Litecoin rigs to member here. (Member does not want to be named)

7  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB $550 Worth of BTC/LTC/BTC-E on: July 16, 2013, 01:47:13 AM
Looking to buy $550 worth of LTC/BTC/BTC-E Codes.

Money would be sent either Wire Transfer or Chase Quickpay.

Would prefer that we use John K as escrow or I would consider going first for well known/trusted forum member.

I will pay 5% over BTC-E price for LTC. (Since it will save me the time of exchanging the BTC/BTC-E codes)

Thanks.

EDIT: Just bought $200 worth. Only need $550 now.
8  Economy / Currency exchange / How to get Paypal onto OKpay/BTC-E on: July 14, 2013, 01:42:01 AM
Just recently sold one of my rigs for paypal, but want to convert the money to LTC.

I set up an OKpay account a few weeks/months ago.
It is verified, but it seems that they do not accept Paypal anymore. (Or maybe they didn't at all.....though I swear I saw they did)

So now I am trying to figure out the fastest way to get the money from paypal, to some service, that will then get to BTC-E.
It is looking like the only way is to move my paypal balance to my bank account, then send it to OKpay (and wait 3-4 business days), then send to BTC-E.
I would really prefer a more instant exchange.

What is the method that most people use?

Thanks
9  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Litecoin Mining Rig 1.1-1.3 Mh/s on: July 01, 2013, 05:18:34 PM
I am looking to possibly sell one of my extra rigs. (Wife is finally sick of our electric bill being so high)

Most of this rig is less than 2 months old. (Purchases were made on 5/3/2013-5/6/2013, New from Amazon/Newegg)
Everything bought recently has valid warranties. (Graphics card boxes have had the barcode removed for rebates)
There is no case. Theses are sitting in Plastic Milk Cartons. (Not sending the Milk Cartons. Not worth the extra shipping price. These are cheap from your local Menards)
Also not looking to part out right now, but will entertain offers for parts separately.

New Components (less the 2 months old. Price I paid is listed):

AMD Sempron 145 Processor w/ stock cpu cooler ($35.70)
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 Mobo  ($137.99)
Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz RAM  ($65.54)
Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Adapter  ($45.78)
2-16x to 16x pci-e unpowered risers (bought off Ebay from China)
3- SAPPHIRE 100314-5L Radeon HD 6870 (These are Cyprus, not Barts. So these run at 5870 speeds) ($389.97)
VGA Dummy Plug

Over $675 spent.

Re-Used Components

X4 Series 850W Atx PS (bought in July of 2011. Warranty is 3 years, so there is still 1 year left) ($169.99)
120 GB Hard drive (taken out of HP computer)

Over $850 spent in total.

Here is link to thread I made about these cards as "proof" that they can pull over 400 kh/s each.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200060.0

I have the rig averaging about 425 kh/s on 2 of the cards and 340 kh/s on 1. (The 340 kh/s is the card with the dummy plug. I always run the "display" card lower to make sure I do not receive any "Display Driver Stopped responding" errors.) With this set up it runs perfectly, 24/7, without any issues.

I understand this thread is worthless without pics.
So I will update as soon as I possibly can.

Looking for around $700 in LTC (preferred) or BTC - Including shipping. (US only. Shipping from SE Wisconsin)
I feel this price is fairly good since the majority of the rig is less than 2 months old.

Will only sell if buyer sends payment first or if we use JohnK for escrow services. (I have used JohnK before for a purchase I made - the amazon gift cards I used to purchase this rig - and it worked out great)

Willing to entertain other offers but will not drop price too low since I am sure I can get more than what I am asking for on Ebay.
(Seeing as there are a ton of people on Ebay trying to selling mining rigs with less hashing power for 2 or 3 times the price not including shipping)

EDIT:

Screenshot of cards running at specified speeds.

Pictures of Boxes and Physical rig coming soon. (For some reason my phone does not want to email them to myself.  Angry   )

EDIT 2:

Screenshots of boxes/rig.

EDIT 3:

Has been listed on Ebay. Buy it now price is much higher in USD than I want to compensate for the fees.
Will take substantially lower price in coins, since I won't have to pay the 12.9% in fees to Ebay and Paypal.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121140300969?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

EDIT 4:

Just realized I put 250 GB hard drive. It is actually 120 GB. Sorry.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Rebranded 5870 (6870) for only $130 on Newegg on: May 09, 2013, 01:37:41 PM
I posted this in Mining Hardware, but I figured it would probably be more helpful here in the Newbies section.

Someone on this forum showed me this and I figured I would share with the community.

Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202032

These are 6870's that are really just rebranded 5870's.
So they pull over 400 mh/s-kh/s without the need to overclock.
All for $130 ($120 after the mail-in rebate).

That's over 100 mh/s-kh/s more than a typical 6870, for the same price as a used 6870 on Ebay.

Hurry and get yours before the vultures come, buy them all up, and then try to sell them at a ridiculous mark-up.

You should learn how to keep your mouth shut and maybe youd be able to make some money in this business. If you tell the world than the short run they are doing on them will be gone in minutes. If only a few people figure it out at a time that allows people who know what there doing to make the money. Anyways a little piece of advice.
This is a hobby for me. I am not in this to get rich. I am here to have fun and support the currency, so I much rather help out others looking to get into mining by spreading this deal while it lasts.

12  Economy / Goods / (WTB) Amazon Gift Cards on: April 08, 2013, 01:53:34 PM
Looking to buy $500 worth of Amazon (US) gift cards.

Looking to pay 90% in BTC. (Will pay 99% if I can get all $500 from one person)

(Price for full $500 worth of GC)

PM me or post here with offers.

(Will need to use escrow for larger orders)

13  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Mining Rig (or components) - US on: April 03, 2013, 02:58:24 PM
I am looking to purchase a full mining rig or all the components for a LTC mining rig.

I currently have a slow rig that still allowed me to accrue some LTC (990kh/s), and would like to purchase another rig using the coins I have made.

I am looking to spend roughly 5 BTC. (about $650 right now. I can pay in BTC/LTC/Paypal, up to seller.)
(Must be willing to use Escrow. Will contact John K to ensure he will do the escrow once offers come in.)

Here are some of the Pre-reqs that I have:

Mobo must have 3+  x16 slots.
Power supply must be over 800w (Prefer modular).
RAM must be 4Gb+ (total, does not need to be single stick)
CPU (Cheaper the better.)
GPUs (Does not really matter but must be non-reference. I will make decisions based on Price and mining speed.)
Hard Drive (anything)
(Everything must be in good working condition - No defects)

As a reference for pricing.
I can get the following (NEW) from Bitcoinstore:
4 x16 slot mobo (Asus 990fx) $142
860w power supply (corsair) $202
4GB RAM (corsair) $31
7970 (XFX) $403
250GB Hard Drive (Sata) $55
(So obviously I am not looking to pay prices comparable to above, otherwise I would just buy new)
((Also, most items I could just buy from Amazon and get free 2-day shipping. So please be reasonable about shipping prices too.))

I prefer to get a full rig from one person (or all components from one person), but will definitely consider components alone for the right price.

Please PM me with offers. (PLEASE include your shipping fee with the quoted price to 53132)

Thanks in advance.

14  Bitcoin / Mining support / Guiminer "Verification Failed, Check Hardware" on: March 22, 2013, 03:10:34 PM
Hello,

Up until a few months ago, I used to mine bitcoin using Guiminer and the 50btc pool. (Using my wimpy 6870)

I recently tried to mine bitcoin again (Moved to Litecoin about a month ago) and I could not get it to work with guiminer.

I kept receiving RPC errors.

Since then, I have backed up my wallet, uninstalled and deleted all folder related to bitcoin qt and guiminer, and then installed the newest versions of each. (0.8.1 and 20121203)

Now after this I am receiving "Verification Failed, Check Hardware!" errors.

Am I missing a part of the setup? I do not remember having to do anything else other than download guiminer and start mining before.
(I know that I will not get much out of mining with my 6870, but I would like the option to switch between bitcoin and litecoin based on the profitability)

Here of some screenshots of my stuff in case someone can see the issue.

Thanks in advance.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Hash Rate variance between mining Litecoin and mining Bitcoin on: March 20, 2013, 09:08:10 PM
I have recently switched my wimpy 6870 over to mining litecoin.

When I mined Bitcoin, I usually mined with the 50BTC pool.

My Miner would show ~270-280 m/hs and 50BTC would show my speed ~270-300 m/hs.

Now that I am mining Litecoin. I am mining with the notroll.in pool.

My miner (reaper) shows me at a consistent 330 k/hs, but notroll.in shows me at ~211-380 k/hs.

Does anyone know why there is such a large variance?
Is it just how Litecoin is or is it Pool related?

Obviously pretty new to mining concepts/functionality ^
