1  Other / Off-topic / Are you budgeting? What tool are you using? on: December 29, 2020, 07:22:24 AM
Hi guys,

I was very active in this forum 2 years ago and now I'm back Smiley
So excited about how the forum is now and looking forward to meeting old and new faces here.

I stopped with crypto 2 years ago when I was offered a good job outside crypto and is doing well until the pandemic Sad (SAD)

Since finance is not that great, I am now doing a budget. So that every money I have is spent wisely.

To those who are already budgeting, may I know what tool are you using?

Currently, I am on the free trial of YNAB but I am also using AspireBudget free google spreadsheet.

I am confused between the two.

I love the interface of YNAB and I am comfortable paying its yearly fee but on the other hand, I am thinking of using that fee for some of my other budgets, hence, aspirebudget would be ideal.

Please help me decide and if you also have other recommendations, please let me know. IMPORTANT: I want zero-based budgeting as I find it works for me.

Thank you so much guys and more power!
2  Other / Off-topic / How do you motivate yourself? or you DON'T? on: July 06, 2019, 01:54:47 AM
Hi guys!

I am from a long vacation in this forum - was focusing on client projects outside bitcoin.
The reason being was that the price of bitcoin was too low and I need to feed my growing little family.
In short, I was demotivated and find another way to earn money.

Now I will surely back because the price BTC is soaring high again.

To those who stayed and hold since then, I am just wondering how do you motivate yourself guys to hold the line? or you don't have to motivate yourself and just continue on.

I was out on my 777coin campaign (there was an issue then - long delay of payout) and I am now searching for new signature campaigns that have an open position and accept Sr. Member - Please send me a recommendation if you know of one.

Thank you guys and more power!
3  Other / Off-topic / I found bitcointalk.to - NEVER put your login details! on: September 24, 2018, 01:57:58 AM
Hi all!

I was trying to search fortunejack signature campaign through google and check each results google showed.
I then, later on, realized that it is not from the official bitcointalk forum but it looks really the same.

If this site is not legitimate, don't ever put your login details. I am just worried that it shows on first page of google.
Maybe report it as well so it will be closed right away!

Be careful everyone!

P.S.: if bitcointalk.to is legit and related to our official forum, I am sorry and my mistake. But if it is not legit, let's take it down please so no one will get victimized in case their motive is to get login information of bitcointalk accounts.

5  Economy / Speculation / HODL Will Stand When All Else Falls! on: February 05, 2018, 11:00:29 PM
I feel that most of the old bitcointalk members have already mastered the Art of Holding. Aren't you? Yes, I am talking to you SR. Member and above! Smiley

It is no secret that bitcoin gone through hell since its inception but the firm believers who HODL became wealthy in a tremendous way.

Hope those short line of words eases the pain to all the members here who emotionally suffer the most with the current price downfall of bitcoin and hopefully will also be a venue for the crypto pro to give encouragement to other members to continue hodling on.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Have you invested to certain altcoins and lost all your money? Read everything! on: January 31, 2018, 01:14:56 PM
I just wonder how many members here who have invested to any altcoins and ended losing all of their money because the coin has no longer value or not operating anymore.

This is different from trading and losing the trade but the coin is still in the market - this is something more devastating because the coin you are investing died on its natural death (or should I say, some of the coin developers run away with your money)

Note: The reason I ask this because I hope it would serve as a WARNING. I don't want to see any members investing to ICO's and some existing coins and ended up losing their money. Of course, there are ICO's that are good and have potential and existing small coins that also have potential of growing but we cannot deny the fact that there are a number of coins that are found dead: http://deadcoins.com

Do lots of deep research before making your next investment.

7  Other / Meta / Infographic - Merit & new rank requirements [UPDATED] on: January 27, 2018, 04:16:40 AM
Below is my simple infographic (for those people who prefers visual explanation) about the merit and new rank requirements.
My point is simple, as long as we are patient enough and see to it that we just share quality posts, we can reach higher ranks eventually.
Higher rank members in the forum will not leave any of us unnoticed and without merits, if they feel our share is deserving of merit point(s) BUT will definitely won't bother at all to give us any merits if our replies are trash.
I just do hope that the merit system will not be abused and each of us should be watchdogs in upholding the real intention of the merit system in attaining clean and only quality information published in the forum.

8  Economy / Reputation / actmyname, please remove your negative trust to my account on: January 22, 2018, 02:04:36 PM
First of all, I would like to be on point and honest: being in the signature campaign is one of my sources of income for my little family - I just had a baby boy and building up his future through my hard work today just like any responsible father would; and second of all, I do all of my best to be as responsive as I can to all the messages I replied here in the forum - please check my history of messages.

I do heavy post here in bitcointalk during Sundays, my local time here, because I work all day long during weekdays and crypto trading on Saturdays.

Now please, re-check your negative trust to my post here in your reference: https://archive.is/ZVWjf#selection-553.0-562.1 my reply was true and when I wrote that reply I was searching google how much btc to usd at that very moment and the result was $16,760.90 (I really do extra effort to be very specific up to the very last cent value of btc that time) Just for reference, this is the exact thread where you reference me being a shitposting spammer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2277556.260

Note: I check google and I find this analysis of bitcoin price around that date: http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/12/08/bitcoin-analysis-december-11-2017 (although this is not accurate because when I made that post it was December 12 in my local time and December 11 reflected in bitcointalk time of post - but the price on this analysis is close to the price I included on the comment as per google research of the price at that time)

I am not mad at you but to be honest I also have a realization that I should spend more time sharing more value to this community by helping especially the newbies in the forum with their important questions and not just replying to threads topic that I like answering and monitoring regularly.

With that all being said, I am sincerely and humbly requesting to please remove your negative trust in my account actmyname.

Thanks and more power!

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / I am now seriously engage to trading! Tradingview or Cryptowatch??? on: January 14, 2018, 06:00:19 AM
After many trades done in years, I am now seriously going for it full time and would like to invest with a more bigger bankroll.

I know that you may ask, you have been trading for years and yet you don't know which platform are you using? That question is legit and I also ask myself from time to time.

My max trade currently is .01 per trade but is seriously going to max .05 or .1 per trade - I already have a good system that works for me well with that max .01 and would like to scale that is why I am now asking you these questions Smiley

I have been using both but with the free version - tradingview only has 1 alerts while cryptowatch can have many. Which one is really better with the paid subscription?

I just wanna ask if it is SAFE to integrate your poloniex account to cryptowatch and just trade inside the latter?

Please give your gold input mates! Smiley

Thanks a lot!
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / What did you do in the past 24 hours in Poloniex? on: May 10, 2017, 01:44:32 AM
I mean, in the past 24 hours, I was trying to deposit and buy altcoins because they are so tempting due to them being very cheap. However, I am afraid to deposit because it might not get through.

Question: Have you able to manage to buy and sell in polo in the past 24 hours? or have you sold your altcoins, hold? What exactly your actions during the past 24 hours?

I'm wondering?  Undecided
11  Bitcoin / Electrum / (Electrum) HELP: Estimated Confirmation Time Within 6 Blocks (Medium Priority) on: November 22, 2016, 02:26:13 PM
Hi guys,

I really need your help here..
It is my first time to send bitcoin to my other bitcoin wallet from my electrum local wallet. I have been receiving bitcoins from this wallet it everything are good.. However, just few hours ago, I sent bitcoin to my other online wallet from my electrum wallet and even if I set the default 0.0005 btc/kb which turned out    0.0001522 BTC as fee.. But even with that fee, I get Medium priority in blockchain and needs 6 confirmations - it's more or less 6 hours now and my bitcoin is still unconfirmed and pending.. Why is that so? Please help what I should do..

In my poloniex, I believe the fee is 0.0001 and it goes through immediately but with my electrum, I get this medium priority.. Please help guys, I badly needed my coin for some family reason..

Thanks and more power!

14  Economy / Speculation / How Much Do You Think The Bitcoin Would Be Comes Halving? on: July 04, 2016, 08:38:57 AM
Guys, no Right or Wrong Answers. This is just your estimation. HOWEVER, there is a catch: you have to provide your reason(s) why you come up with your bitcoin price prediction.

Now, let's get the ball rolling..

P.S.: My goal with this thread is to give more people out there to take a closer look on their approach comes halving in a few days from now. Because I know, that there are still people that don't care what will happen after the halving - well, I respect that but would it be nice and interesting if we have a good plan for the bitcoin halving day? It would be fun seeing the result as to whether or not the price of bitcoin will go up and down and benefit from either way, right? Smiley
