1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Official statement regarding sale of Satoshi Poker on: July 16, 2014, 10:22:32 AM
Hi guys,

Former CEO of Satoshi Poker here.

I tried to do the right thing and sell Satoshi Poker to an interested party, who were willing to relaunch Satoshi Poker as BurnTurn.eu, a new poker site legally owned by Open Source Industries Ltd in Antigua, with CEO Ragnar del Torres, but in fact owned and operated by Tampa,FL based Mr Brandon Casten. As Satoshi Poker was nearly bust, I had no other choice than to sell the site for just a plane ticket home with the agreement that player balances would be covered as soon as they had received all the passwords, credentials etc etc. As such I agreed but until this day the buyer has failed to honour the agreement and allow my former customers to cash out their funds.

As you can see on satoshipoker.org, the official version why BurnTurn.eu is not launching is that they wish to release an open source poker software which is still in development. To me personally, their spokesperson Brandon Casten (http://www.linkedin.com/in/brandoncasten) said the following:

To some of my affiliates, who asked why the site isn't live yet and why players can't cash out yet, he said:

Funny, because enterrabitcoinpoker.com does offer free use of the bitcoin deposit and withdrawal system which works with their software!

After confronting him with this, he basically blocked me on skype, has not been answering my emails and on the side has been attacking my affiliates for still having contact with me. Basically, he doesn't want to pay the players.

I am nearly finished with my preparations to sue Mr Brandon Casten and BurnTurn.eu to terminate the agreement and hand me back the software, databases etcetera. If he does, I would be able to have all players paid in at most a week after server transfer etcetera has been done. If he doesn't either hand the software back over or honour the agreement and pay Satoshi Poker's players, I will sue Mr Brandon Casten personally for the lies he has spread about the reason for not paying out the players as this is a legal ground to sue him personally in the United States. Besides that, I will sue BurnTurn.eu (by their legal name Open Source Industries Limited in Antigua) to enforce getting back control over software and backend so all players will be paid.

I would kindly request you all to be real careful with this site and would strongly advice that, if he does in the end allow it, former Satoshi Poker players immediately withdraw their balances from the site, as for now the new owner has clearly shown he doesn't care about the liabilities that he bought with the site.

As shown online ( http://calvinayre.com/2014/07/03/poker/beckys-affiliated-burnturn-btc-poker/ ) he plans to release burnturn.eu late 2014 and I will not have my former players wait this long, when the agreement has been very clear about the condition of sale.

As for people who are interested in the agreement by which Satoshi Poker has been sold:
https://mega.co.nz/#!UkVDlLQb!9IiH-Rt0n4mucDJIIPPm_6fA-RGLj4zZ-PUw5UN9pns

And the transfer of the license, to Mr Brandon Casten himself:
https://mega.co.nz/#!l003mTQR!Vp3rOwJ6nKQ3fVMpK_YbUrS4MY-uNJbzR9QvY_54ys8

To all my former customers at Satoshi Poker:
I will do everything within my power to enforce the buyer to either pay out the players or hand over all software and credentials to me so I can pay them myself. I will not allow the buyer to just take Satoshi Poker's players and abandon its players the way he has done.

Please feel free to send me a PM, email (bpvanoort@gmail.com) or skype (bp_van_oort) if you wish to keep up to date with the progress.

Best regards,

Bart van Oort
former CEO Satoshi Poker.

2  Economy / Auctions / Satoshi Poker - Entire business - 2 day auction on: April 14, 2014, 08:16:24 AM
Hi guys,

I am offering the domain, the software and all accounts (email, hosting etc) for satoshipoker.org on public auction.

Company specifics
Name: Satoshi Poker
Domain: https://satoshipoker.org/
Started: April 2013
Nature of business: Offers poker games through its downloadable poker client
Games supported: Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha hi/lo, Stud
Limit types supported: No Limit, Pot Limit, Fixed Limit
Game types supported: Cash games, Tournaments, Sit and Go's, Fifty50 Sit and go's
Total registered players: 4648

Financial information
Satoshi Poker has paid of the Enterra Poker desktop client package of $40k and fully owns the license for this software
Satoshi Poker has a custom built additional backend to securely process bitcoin deposits and withdrawals, a custom backend for handling referral and affiliate income
Satoshi Poker has $118.50/mo net operational costs for the rent of a dedicated server and VPS webhosting package (website and gameserver/bitcoin systems are hosted seperately for security reasons)
Total rake generated in 2013: 98.4 BTC
Total rake generated in 2014: 7.6 BTC
Total owed to players: 19 BTC in player balances in the system, 3.9 BTC in pending withdrawals (I will cover these funds out of the buying price so after buying, company will have 0 liabilities towards its players, software companies or whatsoever)
Total other liabilities or monthly costs: 0

Presented opportunity
Although Satoshi Poker is not generating a lot of revenue at the moment, it provides a solid foundation for anybody aspiring to run a bitcoin poker site. As the backends are already up and running, bitcoin is fully integrated (and has never been compromised since its start a year ago) and business is fully operational, it makes a good starting point to build upon. With just a $118.50/mo in operational costs, and raking in 2.17 BTC/mo on average in 2014, the business is profitable from the moment of takeover. 1690 out of the 4648 players actually hold a balance at the site, and new owner could target those players with special promotions to come back and play at the site. After buying the site, there will be no additional costs or liabilities.

Reason for selling
After working on the project for the past year, sacrificing my other businesses, investing a lot of time and money and running into personal debts to get it to where it is today, I don't have the time or personal stability to move the business forward to its full potential. Since november I have been working with no marketing budget and no development budget and for the future of SP it is better if somebody with a new vision and a budget steps in and takes over. At this moment there is a deficit in player funds, and I would be able to cover them by taking out another bank loan but at this point I would rather sell it and cover all balances from the buying price, as it is pointless to run an internet business with no marketing or development budgets and basically working full time to maintain the just under $1000 in monthly turnover. I have to look for a project that gives me a paycheck and allows me more time to spend with my girlfriend who had a miscarriage while i was sitting in the waiting room in the hospital working on SP...

Auction specifics
I will run the auction for 2 days only, as I would have to get a bank loan to pay the current players after this 2 day period and continue it myself as I can't let them wait for longer to process their withdrawals.
Starting bid of the auction is 30 BTC.
Auction will run for 48 hours after this post and highest bidder will receive all the accounts, passwords, logins etc by the by buyer preferred method.
Payment of buy is completely in bitcoin, of which 22.9 BTC has to be done to the hot wallet so buyer can see that in fact the balances are covered and remainder has to be sent to me to settle with SP's current investors.

For any more questions, please send me a pm or add me to skype: bp_van_oort.

Best regards,

Bart van Oort

We are currently in the process of getting ourselves listed on multiple exchanges.
To keep my word towards Crypto Rush, please vote at https://www.cryptorush.in/index.php?p=vote whether Deuce Coin should have itself listed on that platform or not.

Purpose of the coin
DeuceCoin aims to become the leading coin for online gaming with crypto-currency, with its main focus leaning towards poker. To achieve this we will have an aggressive but generous marketing campaign to get the coin established in the community. We will start with promoting the coins on Satoshi Poker (support is currently in development), with many freerolls and give-aways and present the community the opportunity to start their own skin on the Satoshi Poker Network for free; we will even offer a bounty for doing so. The ultimate opportunity to start your own poker site for free!

Bounties for exchangers
1. First exchanger to list the coin
2. All subsequent exchangers to list it

Wallet related bounties
1. Android wallet
2. iOS wallet

Other bounties
1. Development of a block explorer
2. Development of alternative wallet systems (paper wallets etc)
3. Accepting DeuceCoin for games
4. Logo contest (info follows soon)
5. More bounties to follow soon!

Start your own poker skin on Satoshi Poker Network
We are currently preparing a downloadable package with all the needed information to develop your own skin on the Satoshi Poker Network and offer games in DeuceCoin and Bitcoin while sharing the player pool with Satoshi Poker and the other skins that will launch on the network, so you don't have to start from scratch and your customers will have opponents to play with! Instead of asking a fee for hooking up to our network, we offer a bounty for the people who take the time to do the translations and the technical realisation of API features to launch. Your customers will be able to play the freeroll tournaments in DeuceCoin and Bitcoin offered by Satoshi Poker as well! And all this on a 50% gross revenue share, you will receive 50% of the exact rake the players on your site generate!

8  Economy / Securities / [bitfunder] SatoshiPoker - Searching pre-IPO investor for marketing budget on: July 04, 2013, 11:20:54 AM
Hi!

Most of you probably already heard about SatoshiPoker, being a growing bitcoin based pokersite from Holland. From the start we have invested a lot of time and money into the site, starting with a daily loss of 5 bitcoins, because of our juicy freerolls and guaranteed tournaments. This was an expensive strategy, but it has given us a loyal players base on which we can grow further and at this point we have reached break even point. The way the site has been growing the past weeks makes us project that July will be our first profitable month since the start.

Instead of being just a pokersite for bitcoiners, we intend to become a mainstream poker site and compete with the more serious players in the industry. To achieve this goal, we had a marketing budget assigned to get us listed on the most important poker forums. With all company funds held in bitcoins but all marketing costs being charged in USD, we have taken a serious hit in our marketing budget, due to the fall of the bitcoin value. Our main interest is now getting our site listed in an official topic on twoplustwo forums, currently the biggest forum about online poker. Additionally we wish to get ourselves listed on pocketfives.com and have a pokerstrategy.com promotion.

The attention and traffic we will get from listing our site on these forums/sites will get us from break-even to highly profitable almost instantly and the income from the new players will allow us to grow at a way faster rate than we currently are.  Main issue at this point is that these various sites demand  multiple months of advertising payment up front for getting us listed and we don't have sufficient fundings to do so.

As this point SatoshiPoker is already listed on bitfunder.com, but has not yet performed an IPO on its shares, as we agreed with our current investors and founders to IPO once the site is making a steady profit and thus giving a good ROI on their initial investment. The current shares are visible in the Asset List.

We are looking to sell 5% of our company's shares, to get 400 BTC in fundings to get ourselves listed on the above sites. We would prefer to get one single investor on board as this will allow SatoshiPoker to IPO more smoothly than with multiple investors.

When interested in investing in a growing company, with a high earning potential, please send me a PM. To prevent our standard trolls (see our service topic in the gambling section) from messing up this thread, this topic will be posted locked and reopened when we announce IPO on bitfunder.com.

10  Economy / Gambling / Mem's true colors on: May 13, 2013, 10:15:30 AM
Mem has just started his second gambling list. This time he made it a self moderated topic, because he does not like the fact that people who he accuses might defend themselves. So then what happens? You receive a PM from the forum.

Quote
A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. There are no rules of self-moderation, so this deletion cannot be appealed. Do not continue posting in this topic if the topic-starter has requested that you leave.

You can create a new topic if you are unsatisfied with this one. If the topic-starter is scamming, post about it in Scam Accusations.

I think it is crazy that people who are trying to run an honest business can be attacked out of the blue and denied any possibility to reply to these accusations. The more, because this individual is known for flaming multiple people and fighting personal crusades against certain websites he doesn't like, instead of doing what he pretends to do: runnng an honest and objective list of all the gaming sites in the bitcoin industry.

The fact that he closed his old topic, found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75883.msg2129880#msg2129880 shows what Mem's true colors are. While he pretends to run a list to judge gambling and gaming sites on their integrity and credibility, he closes his thread, sends threats thru PM and start a self-moderated topic.

So yet we found ourselves after buying a $50k software package and months of hard work flamed by a highly unstable guy with a self moderated list because he is angry we stated we didn't want to be on his old list. Yet he keeps screaming that we are angry for not being listed quickly enough, while the real reason he was angry was a post in his topic, where i said:

At this moment we are content not to be listed on it, as an unstable individual as him/her can do only more damage than good.

I understand that this individual has some creditbility because his list is around for a long time, but I also believe that when you accuse people on your list, you should allow them a chance to respond to it. If you don't do this, you lose all credibility in my eyes.

Mem, I have tried to respond to your accusations in your thread 3 times now and I am no longer going to bother. I hope you will understand that censoring critics to your list will not result in a higher credibility. It will only weaken it.

Im off now. Other than you, I have a business to run.

14  Other / Beginners & Help / How to safeguard the decentralization of bitcoin? on: April 15, 2013, 06:08:51 AM
After what happened with mtgox, whether it was a ddos or a overload of orders, I believe bitcoin has shown its weakest link. By having most other exchanges working with the mtgox API it was possible that a system error within 'just' an exchanger caused so much panic that it might take a few weeks before bitcoin is back on its old level.

How can we prevent that the value of the coin gets hurt when just an exchanger or whatsoever gets taken down or has technical issues? IMO we should order exchangers to set their own exchange rates and thus creating a fair and decentralized market.

Just my 2 cents Wink

Hi guys,

Since I have to wait untill I have 5 posts, I have to hang around here.
Which brought me to a good question.

I want to buy bitcoin or ukash with either my neteller account or with the debit card linked to it. Does anybody know if this is possible and where it is safe to order?

Help would be really appreciated Smiley
