I can't understand how some sites are paying me bitcoins for free, just by putting my bitcoin address in there?

Can they steal my money in the future or something?

Nobody gives money for free. Where's the trick?

Hey guys, I understand that if I make a copy of my wallet.dat file I will never lose my bitcoins. Problem is that I can't find that file in my bitcoin folder. Btw, I am using the qt client.
