1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Hashgraph is mind blowing!🤔🤔🤔 on: March 14, 2018, 07:15:48 PM
I attended the Hashgraph show last night, which is mind blowing. Hashgraph is said to be a data structure & consensus algorithm which is not only faster, fairer, but also more secure than blockchain. If all they mentioned are valid, then it will be truly ground breaking. What do you think of Hashgraph?
Check out this video:

BTW, you guys can check out the video provided by Ivan on tech about hashgraph: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuL4DN2dA4E
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The tps of NAVcoin?🤔🤔🤔 on: March 12, 2018, 03:32:14 AM
Recently, I find that the current upper limit of the TPS of NAVcoin is 1120, which is super high for a POS coin (not DPOS). I checked the block explorer of NAVcoin, and I found that there are only around 200 full nodes, which is kind of small.
Q:
Is 1120 tps achievable when the number of full nodes become much larger (more decentralized)? If so, how does NAVcoin achieve this? Thank you very much!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Binance API trading using python? on: March 10, 2018, 03:47:27 PM
Recently, I would like to try to build my own trading bot working with Binance API using python. I find a binance trading code on github:
https://github.com/yasinkuyu/binance-trader

Did anyone tried this code to trade with Binance API before? Do you guys recommend this code? Thank you very much!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is this subforum becoming the new bounty subforum? on: March 02, 2018, 04:50:25 PM
This subforum used to be an altcoin subforum. Then it became an airdrop (EBTC, ELTC, EETH, etc.) subforum. Recently, it is actually transforming into a bounty campaign subforum. The meta is really changing?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Etherdelta has been hacked. on: December 21, 2017, 01:50:31 PM
Exchange EtherDelta (decentralized, lol) gets hacked and replaced by a fake site that steals your money. Even a hardware wallet cannot protect you if you signed the transaction on it. What a joke!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETHlend (LEND) will be the killer app of Ethereum? on: December 17, 2017, 01:31:30 AM
[Update]: Grin
It is the time to start talking about ETHlend again. ETHlend is at 1400 sat right now with a top-100 market cap. Alpha3 will probably be out in the next week.  What do you guys think?

"Introduction of ETHlend:
EthLend aims to enable decentralized lending globally by allowing crypto to crypto borrowing. All borrowings will be secured by cryptocurrency, including ENS domains, as collateral. Everything is done through smart contracts so that the whole process can be done in a trustless and transparent fashion. Interest rates, premium and conditions are solely decided by the participants.

Sample use cases include:

Participating in ICOs by borrowing Ether using a userís existing cryptocurrency holding.
Margin trading by increasing leverage.
Financing for blockchain startups for ICO marketing by pledging ICO tokens.
Unleashing the Ether locked in ENS domains.
EthLend allows crypto-pegged (return the same amount of cryptocurrency) and fiat-pegged (price of cryptocurrency in fiat is used for the loan value) loans depending on the usersí needs."

A few facts:
ETHLend Alpha 0.2 Launched yesterday. You can start lending or borrowing using smart contract on ETH mainet now. Just log in your metamask and go to https://app.ethlend.io/main/1

Below is the UI of the loan lists:

Below is the UI of the lending contract:

I know the UI/UX is still very basic right now, but IMO ETHlend could become one of the killer app of Ethereum.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is universa legit? on: October 30, 2017, 02:40:32 AM
Out of many ICOs ongoing, Universa is the only project targeting the smart contract platform (competing with ETH, NEO, etc). The question is: is it legit?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NEO's tech is better than that of ETH? on: October 30, 2017, 02:36:01 AM
The transaction throughput of NEO is measured up to about 10,000 tx per second. Right now the transaction throughput of NEO is said to be 1,000 per second. We all know that the transaction throughput of ETH is only 15 tx per second. Does it mean that NEO's tech is better than that of ETH?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / InsureX ICO website was hacked!!! on: July 14, 2017, 02:17:28 PM

Be really careful when investing in ICOs, guys.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / A question about the address generation from QT-wallets on: June 07, 2017, 03:59:37 AM
I am always wondering whether the address generated from an unsynced QT-wallet (say, litecoin QT-wallet) is valid or not. Based on my observation, it seems the address generated from an unsynced QT-wallet is valid.

I also tested the offline case, in which I downloaded the qt-wallet, then I disconnected the internet and opened the qt-wallet. It seems that the address can even be generated from a QT-wallet without internet connection. How does the qt-wallet guarantee that the address generated in different computers are not the same?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Which is the most promising Casino coin? on: June 05, 2017, 03:15:20 AM
I am wondering which is the most promising Casino coin?
vSlice, Edgeless, Etheroll, RouletteToken or other casino coins that I am not aware of?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why Stratis succeeded? on: May 30, 2017, 02:40:33 AM
I have invested in the Stratis project, and get a good profit out of it. Thank you dev of Stratis. But I still don't understand the hype behind this project. Correct me if I am wrong:
Stratis : C# version of Bitcoin
Lisk : Java version of Bitcoin

Stratis ranked #10, but Lisk ranked #26. What makes Stratis better than, say, Lisk?

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are ICOs in this year less rewarding than the ones held in the last year? on: May 29, 2017, 12:35:17 AM
In the last year, the big ICOs were basically no-brainers. While in this year, big ICOs are flooding the crypto-market, and a lot of ICOs ended up with lower ICO price in the first few weeks or so. It seems that the meta has changed, right?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is the fairest distribution for cryptocurrency? on: May 27, 2017, 03:57:40 PM
ICO? Airdrop?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is it possible to design a friction-less cryptocurrency? on: May 25, 2017, 08:24:52 PM
As far as I know, if one sends bitcoin to a void address, the bitcoin is gone. So the total amount of available bitcoin is decreasing (in a relatively slow manner, lol). Is it possible to design a cryptocurrency that will be automatically sent back (or can not be sent a void address) if it is sent to a void address?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is the best dividend-paying coin? on: May 25, 2017, 06:17:40 PM
Recently, I find that RouletteToken and Etheroll are paying %100 of the projectís profit to their token holders, which is truly amazing. The question is:
What is the most promising dividend-paying coin?
