Well I am going to need to use a secnd psu. I was wondering if it was safe to only short the 2nd PSU, and not have to wait for an 24pin adapter that starts/stops both at the same time? Also, if its ok to short it, do I first start the shorted one and then my actual rig?

What about risers? I saw some people burned out their risers with 2 psus'. Im planning to mod my unpowered to powered, so should I always connect the molex to my main PSU, and then connect to PCI-E with my 2nd ?

I got a Cooler Master V850 atm, with 2 7970's. It is drwaing 660w from the wall. Does this mean it is actually using this much? If not, how do I see how much of the V850 its actually using? I am debating adding an another HD5870, so I need to know if it'd be a viable solution? Can someone PLEASE shed some light on this.
