2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How about a currency with expiry date...? on: January 23, 2021, 06:51:53 AM
In my country during the year 2016, 8th November the government announced currencies with highest denomination like 1000₹ and 500₹ won't be valued anymore. People are supposed to reach the banks and exchange it to any other denomination. In the event of this people suffered much, because there is no money to spend and banks were full of crowd. More than 100 lost their live standing in queue.

Whats the reason for such an immediate decision ?
The government stated it a reason to fight illegal funding to terrorism and recove the black money.

If there is validity or expiry for every currency same as day to day life needs, then people will make use of it and exchange to new currencies at the right time. This way everything can be made to be in circulation rather than getting accumulated for years. Here black money can also be avoided.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Today's info to the World from India - Bitcoin on: December 29, 2020, 08:32:47 AM
The ruling government is planning to impose 18% tax on cryptocurrency trading. Right now one among the wing under the finance ministry has made a study and reported an annual trading of around ₹40000 crore. This when valued on USD it'll be around $5500m. From this government could get a 18% revenue which will be around $1000m.

The cryptocurrency market is unregulated in the country. Now more and more planning is being done and under development to take the revenue out of the cryptocurrency usage.

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / When this gonna change. What's happening with advancement? on: November 21, 2020, 11:56:03 PM

This is a government bank in my country. Things have been taking place by means of digital transactions. Even after that I find the infrastructure still in the classic manner. Another thing, there is lot of paper work and documents kept on each officers table. What is the way to overcome this, blockchain could eliminate the usage of documentation through paper works. How effective will be this, and is there a country that has adopted to it.
7  Economy / Economics / Indian Bank to be acquired by DBS on: November 19, 2020, 12:00:00 AM
Lakshmi Vilas Bank is one among the small scale bank in India. Now this is been into trouble, and DBS is planning to acquire. Lakshmi Vilas is a bank that function completely on traditional approach whereas DBS is completely a digital banking services provider.

Another important statement I read on the news about the same is the limitations imposed on cash withdrawal has once again made bank depositors fearful.
Code:
The moratorium on the banking system will be marginal, this has led to depositors' loss of confidence in the banking system.
Small and marginal depositors will no longer feel safe to park their money in private banks.
More Indian banks are into similar crisis. Recently this has been solved with the unification with other banks.

8  Other / Off-topic / Banks consider covid-19 an opportunity to make money on: November 09, 2020, 06:23:56 PM
In my country (India) the private and public banks have made several changes to the transaction fee and other fees associated with banking. Even the convenience fee on cash deposits through the machines have been increased on deposits made on unofficial timings. Ministry of finance stated no such fee increase have been made on public banks.

Government state issuing more and more loans to make good flow of money, but banks on the other side increase the charge on loan recast of upto 0.5% on entire loan value. Once again bps points have been raised which reflects on the interest percentage. Someway banks are making money out of covid-19 without thinking anything about people. This is where decentralization and cryptocurrency gets importance.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Good Morning from a Non-Bitcoiner on: September 30, 2020, 01:35:15 AM
It is a surprise to see a good morning message popping out from one of my friend. Its been long to get a message from him, and the message made the day. He hasn't known about bitcoin and he isn't used to it. But the message he sent has got a big information in it. He has forwarded the message even without knowing the true meaning, and the message is True.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrency for Trading on: September 29, 2020, 04:33:29 PM
The lockdown has helped with the growth of cryptomarket in large scale. This too is experienced in my home state capital. Compared to the past the lockdown months have got a massive increase in the usage of cryptocurrencies on trading. It is true to see most of the tech people around the age of 25 getting into cryptocurrency usage. Particularly most are into trading to make some passive earning as tech giants have come up with big pay cut.

Another important reason for the same is the stocks which weren't that supportive to make some passive income. During the lockdown even the stocks crashed, only the cryptocurrency market stood strong. With the lockdown the city has topped third position in terms of cryptocurrency users and trading volume. Probably this widespread could've happened in the global market too.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrency Scams and Government on: September 26, 2020, 08:08:57 AM
Days back one of the exchange in the country came up with a proposal to regulate cryptocurrencies and avoid complete ban of cryptocurrencies usage within the country. When such good news pops out people go positive on using cryptocurrency. By the same time there is a news about an exchange scamming people with more than $60 million.

More than forty people who got scammed have complained about the exchange to the Delhi police. I've never come across the exchange named Pluto. This exchange has got almost seven executives who are the team. It is a new kind of trap, because with the people who doesn't have much knowledge about cryptocurrency they've mentioned about creating their own cryptocurrency and assured of 30% - 40% return monthly. This has made more users to invest and finally ended as a trap, and the office have got relocated to Dubai closing the office in India.

Similar such incidents will be mentioned as a reason by the government when applied for regulated usage of cryptocurrencies. More Scams in the name of cryptocurrency is truly destroying the true quality of cryptocurrency and it's features. Hope the change happens soon creating positivity among common people about cryptocurrency.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Regulatory Framework to Avoid Crypto Ban on: September 25, 2020, 07:42:08 AM
This is a long time discussion, because the government hasn't made any clear decision and implemented it. More and more number of suggestions keeps popping from different firms, and now buyUcoin has come up with a framework to avoid cryptocurrency ban and stop illegal usage of cryptocurrencies. The rest is the role of government, because it isn't an easy thing to make the government understand and implement something suggested by a private firm.

The new framework developed has got lots of cryptocurrency and blockchain experts, which makes it an accessible and a possible solution to implement.

One of the contributor has mentioned

“Banning crypto trading would cause India to fall behind other nations that allow it. By lobbying the Indian authorities, industry participants can implement the much needed crypto regulations in the country.”

Already several steps have been taken to regulate the cryptocurrencies. This time something with better plans might make it happen. India in rule is a democratic country, but in governance it isn't democratic for a long. This way there is possible chances for positive and negative news to come out of the developed framework.

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Blockchain Patents on: September 22, 2020, 03:49:18 AM
What is a Patent ? Smiley

Licensing of an invention, that no one after him/her can't make/sell with different names.

What is a Blockchain Patent ?

With the evolution of blockchain technology more and more blockchains have got published as well as into development. These Blockchains will have different use cases as well as have difference in the way it's been developed.

Blockchain Patent List

Large scale firms keep on developing more and more advancement, and as a result once a product is ready it'll be applied for Patent. Once after that it'll be availed for usage, further no one can claim it. There is a big list of blockchain Patents thats been got by the leading companies of the world.

Year to year the patent application keeps increasing. This shows how the traditional market is getting into the blockchain development.

Alibaba leads the track filling more number of applications compared to the other firms in the race. Last year it was IBM that took the lead. In 2020 the applications have increased tremendously, and following is the growth with Alibaba. Bank of America stands in the second position this year, and weeks back BOM started to use bitcoin as cash on remittances.

Based on regional publication estimate the patent holdings are below

  • IBM - 240 Patent
  • Rechain - 279 Patent
  • WeBank - 282 Patent
  • Nchain - 402 Patent
  • Tencent - 724 Patent
  • Alibaba - 1505 Patent

With this I believe the future is much connected with blockchain technology, as each and everything will be developed over the blockchain technology same as that we have everything now associated with internet connectivity.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Billion Dollar Company and Bitcoin on: September 21, 2020, 03:07:08 AM

“Bitcoin days are numbered. It seems like just a matter of time before it suffers the same fate as online gambling.”

Above is the tweet by the MicroStrategy CEO in the year 2013. By that time he was skeptic about bitcoin value. Now the same person have forgotten about the tweet. This is the statement from him in a recent interview.

“I didn’t get all worked up about it. I’m like you’re right I was wrong, what an idiot I was, I wish I could go back and do it again.”

Michael Saylor added

Bitcoin solves the cash problem
He has chosen bitcoin finding it to be better than gold
He compliment it as a living thing, as miners keeps running the network alive

He never finds bitcoin volatility an issue, most of the time large scale investors state the volatility as a reason to prefer investing over gold and other investments. Finally the buying of 38250 bitcoins within 74 days have made their strong presence into the cryptocurrency market.

I don't know it is his statement or the author's, but the rhyming and the meaning is True

“anything that’s controlled by a CEO is crippled,
controlled by a state is crippled,
controlled by a country is crippled.”
This entire thing BTC is its own ecosystem.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and Lockdown in every country on: September 19, 2020, 04:00:27 AM

In India bitcoin trading is flourishing during the lockdown. During the lockdown, growth of bitcoin trading has peaked high from around $2m to $22m within the time period of January 2020 to May 2020. This is something a 830% growth. This too a reason for the plan of India to ban cryptocurrency trading.

Same time period Mumbai based trading Cryptocurrency exchange have recorded massive growth of over 400% in March and 270% in April. This is something very big in a country where it hasn't got any legal support.

Indian government made a ban over cryptocurrencies during the year 2018, but people continued to use it. Lately it decided to come up with of launching its own cryptocurrency through blockchain. This means to make use of the blockchain technology and not the cryptocurrency trading. As a result banks stopped services associated with cryptocurrencies. Lately in the year 2020 filing lawsuit cryptocurrency usage ban was taken. Now once again planning for a ban.

It is always good to regulate the usage of cryptocurrencies and trading same as Singapore, China and South Korea. Government loses a big revenue out of cryptocurrency trading and through regulatory framework this can be solved. Right now consultation is going on with the law ministry and ministry of information technology to make laws for cryptocurrency.

Note : I've mentioned about my country, INDIA
            WHAT ABOUT YOURS ?

20  Other / Off-topic / PUBG ban keeps counting, The decision is appreciable! on: September 14, 2020, 05:49:30 AM
All of the sudden the Indian government took a decision to ban PUBG game within the country. Even now I can see more number of young people playing PUBG sitting as a group. Today in the news saw about the ban of PUBG from more countries other than India. In the news article it was mentioned, PUBG has got 40millions active users playing regularly. This is something very big, if we've got any of the cryptocurrency based application it could've made a big change in the market.

The countries that have banned PUBG other than India are China, Nepal, Jordan, Israel, Iraq. The article also mention the lack of responsibility from the development team. The game is addictive and it registers violence in young minds. When something is developed it should not harm or create negative things within the people. Is this ban gonna make any change among common man, because majority of the users are common man.
