1  Economy / Digital goods / [CLOSED] Humble Indie Bundle 7 on: December 28, 2012, 09:24:36 AM
I would like to buy 3 gift codes for "Pay more than the average" humble indie bundle 7. Since these will be for gifts they would need to be sent to my e-mail if dealing with a not-so-trusted member.

I would pay average price + 20% (currently 3*6.53*1.2 = 23.508$ = 1.77 btc). PM me for details, if interested.

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Does someone here own 1CAU5ynvE... on: June 16, 2012, 10:11:29 PM
If anyone does I would very much like to hear from you Smiley

(it's kind of important, as an answer I would need could turn a paper that is due tomorrow upside down)
3  Bitcoin / Project Development / Transaction block hash on: June 05, 2012, 02:12:41 PM
I need to get the block hash of the block containing specified transaction. I have been parsing blockexplorer for this data, but it seems to be having some difficulties lately, so I'm looking for alternatives. Blockchain.info json api doesn't seem to have this information. Are there any other alternatives? Thanks in advance.
4  Economy / Lending / (Another) free pirate pass through - 7% per week on: May 22, 2012, 06:03:20 AM
7% per week, 50 bitcoins minimum deposit. Reinvestment prefered.

Storage capacity: Not accepting new deposits at this time.

Sounds fair? PM me.
5  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / what is going on with testnet network? on: April 13, 2012, 06:37:17 PM
Now that I've finally managed to set up testnet there are almost no new blocks... What's happening? What can I do to speed it up? I've tried using the latest bitcoind but it wouldn't catch up with the proper chain.
6  Economy / Lending / Offering monthly deposits with 8% interest on: April 11, 2012, 08:02:28 PM
I am willing to pay 8% on monthly deposits. Like many others this also is a Bitcoin Savings and Trust passthrough operation.
In case of Bitcoin Savings and Trust not being able to pay interest anymore the funds would be returned to you prematurely, with a partial interest payment.

About me
I have been a member of this forum for almost a year and from that time on I have been living for bitcoin. I have made some loans myself, as it can be seen from the OTC rating in my signature. Currently I'm trying to contribute and am working on an opensource implementation of CommitCoin (bitcoin timestamping protocol).

edit: nevermind, I changed my mind. Not worth it.
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / BitcoinJ Maven on: April 10, 2012, 08:43:21 AM
Does anyone know how to set this up so it'll work? Followed the instructions in the wiki but it won't collect dependencies...

8  Other / Off-topic / humanitarian expedition to Kenya - looking for donations on: February 19, 2012, 09:39:39 AM
I’m posting this on behalf of a six-member team of students of the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, that are going on a humanitarian medical expedition to Kenya. They need to raise 22000 euros for the drugs and other medical supplies, accommodations, etc. (listed below), and have so far not had much luck finding the donators.

~~ about the expedition

We are four students from Medical faculty and two students from Faculty of Health Sciences in Ljubljana.  We are planning a three-monthly voluntary humanitarian mission in August 2012 to village Majiwa in the South-West of Kenya where we will do our best to provide free medical care for local people.

GOALS OF OUR EXPEDITION:
- to provide the basic medical care for local people
- to educate and raise awareness about the proper hygiene, infectious diseases, drinkable water and adequate nutrition
- to provide financial support for treatment in hospital for patients with more serious conditions
- to get more knowledge about the tropical medicine and therefore to be more able to help the people in Slovenia
- to aware the meaning of the aid for those who need it more than we do

The expedition is a part of a bigger story – the Section of tropical medicine in Ljubljana, which operates as a part of the Medical faculty since the year 1990. It helps the students to organize the humanitarian missions to the countries with worse health care and enables additional education in the department of tropical medicine. The mission is approved by Medical Faculty in Ljubljana and Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia.

For more information go to www.kenija2012.net (google translate; if requested I am willing to provide a more accurately translation of anything on the website); there you will find also confirmation of validity of our expedition issued by Medical faculty of Ljubljana and Ministry of health from Slovenia (under post Priporočila).

~~ donating

Donate to 1kenyaDrbe2W9KfC7djWAZbAKzSR2aXdX

If anyone could spare a bitcoin (or two) or knows people who would it would be much appreciated (and you will also have that warm and fuzzy feeling to cherish).
In the unlikely event of the expedition being canceled I will return the funds to the originating address (if not otherwise requested).

I will make sure to let you know what will be bought with the donated money.
Unfortunately they will not be able to use bitcoins to buy the things needed (yes I know, blasphemy!) so I would like to find a reputable member, that would be willing to buy them (preferably at market price) on date specified below and deposit the funds via SEPA transfer to the account listed on the website of the expedition. Interested please PM me.
The coins will be sold in bulk when the goal amount is reached or on the 1st of July 2012, whichever is sooner.

If deemed necessary I am willing to provide ID (or any other information) to the moderators.

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / bitcoin client 0.5.1 crashes on: January 02, 2012, 12:29:36 AM
Can someone try and confirm this: I created a new encrypted wallet, added some addresses, then changed the password. When I try adding an address using the old password the client crashes (instead of showing the incorrect password warning)...

edit: this is the win version of the client.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / replacing wallet.dat shows no transactions on: June 06, 2011, 09:44:57 PM
I've had this several times happen to me where I would restore an old wallet and there would be no transactions until I re-download the whole block chain from scratch (tried replacing it with recent blockchain nightly from http://bitcoin.bluematt.me/bitcoin-nightly/blockchain-nightly/ but it didn't work either). Why is this happening?

(hoping re-downloading will solve this issue since there is quite a sum on this current wallet I'm trying to restore...)
11  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / original bitcoin client wallet format on: April 20, 2011, 09:34:46 AM
I've been searching the wiki/googling for this but couldn't find anything. Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance
