[BAT] Basic Attention Token.
Who is BAT's competition?
• Reddit Gold is a premium membership program, granting access to extra featuresto improve experience. Reddit is a major publisher, but this program is designed by and limited to Reddit. It does not offer publishers a mechanism for publishers and users to monetize through the use of Blockchain-based token.
• Steem is a social-media and blogging platform lets users earn revenue when they receive upvotes. It is a kind of monetized Reddit. Steem does use Blockchain, but 18 it is not a generalized means for publishers and users to be rewarded for content.
In short, it is not a Blockchain-based digital ad platform. It is specific to the Steem platform.
• Blendle is a kind of iTunes for journalism, offering micropayments on a per-story basis. It gives readers a collection of stories based on preferences. Brave and BAT do not curate anything. Users merely go about their business on the web and publishers are rewarded. Blendle is not a token-based digital advertising platform.
• Google is a search engine company that makes most of its revenue from digital advertising. Google is at the center of the existing digital advertising ecosystem. They benefit from the complexity and opaqueness that defines it. BAT intends to empower the very users and publishers that are receiving less than they should. Google does not have a Blockchain-based tokenized system of offering rewards.
Users are often unaware of how their privacy is compromised using Google.

With Potential Polo listing and Phantom Release soon, this project is highly undervalued and potentially ready for the moonshot!
|
|
|
With Phantom Release around the corner. Shift looks very very exciting. A great project with massive potential. Can give Maidsafe a run for it's money. Could potentially get listed on Poloniex.

THE ISSUE Belacoin’s blockchain has been affected by an increase in orphaned blocks and long delays in transactions. These issues stem from the current mining difficulty regulator: the Kimoto Gravity Well (KWG).
KWG retargets the mining difficulty after every block is found. It is very sensitive, so one large miner or mining pool can cause the difficulty to surge. When that miner or mining pool leaves, the rest of the Belacoin miners have to crack an unreasonably difficult block.
KIMOTO GRAVITY WELL
The Kimoto Gravity Well difficulty regulator was designed by Dr. Kimoto Chan and originally implemented in Megacoin. It was developed to deal with the issue of large mining pools hooking up to a blockchain and mining a large amount of coins in a short period of time. Unfortunately, when the mining pool leaves, the difficulty remains until the next block is found by the average miners. The Kimoto Gravity Well worked in its time, but it is now outdated and causes more bad than it does good.
PROPOSED SOLUTION :
We will be switching the mining algorithm from the current Kimoto Gravity Well to Dark Gravity Wave. Dark Gravity Wave averages mining power over recent blocks to reduce large spikes in difficulty when a large miner or mining pool hooks up to the network.
Here are some ways that Dark Gravity Wave can help Belacoin:
Regular Block Intervals Fewer fluctuations in difficulty mean regular blocks and transaction times.
Fewer Orphaned Blocks Regular block intervals reduce the frequency of orphaned blocks.
No Time Warp Exploit A reduction in selfish mining Together, these improvements help makeBelacoin better for the average user. The days of waiting 12-36 hours for a Belacoin transaction to go through will be over, and regular 2-minute block times will make Belacoin competitive with other fast altcoins.

Hello there!
I have the following hardware:
4 * GTX Titan 4 * NVIDIA Tesla K20 4 * NVIDIA Tesla K40
Any suggestions on which coins would be the best to mine on the above config? Any idea about the combined hashing power that I may get with the the above config?
I was having EXP, XMR , ETH , ZEC on mind.

Capital Pools on the Blockchain!

With the first Ethereum Foundation event in Asia, Devcon2 (September 19, 20, 21) will be a featured conference at the International Blockchain Week in Shanghai by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, the host organization in China. How do you think the price is going to be affected?

I think with the new i2P and tor android features, we should step up the notch for anonymity! The dev has been working hard irrespective of the price dips. In my opinion, accumulation has happened for a very long time and it's now time for a massive change in things. Looking forward to the update.
