I recently purchased the domain name kupbitcoin.com which is a polish equivalent of buybitcoin.com. I'm not really sure what I want to do with the domain name so I decided to throw it up one here and see what people want to offer.
Ideally I'm looking for high 0.XX .

Hello Community! Alright we all know, how this works. Epic members who love crypto and especially XC (It's fine if you don't we don't discriminate.) make a logo and the community votes on it. /end thread Seriously though, we are looking for smart community members who love to make logos. Here is the deal, the logo has to be your own work and must be submitted in a 1500x1500px format at least by June 1st. We are looking for a logo that incorporates XC. The bounty address is: XT3AonRRnu5MybZ1gS6SDCUKBJf6sZVQ2j if you would like to donate. Max 3 logo's per person. Thanks, Teka Community Manager of XC A note from the dev: To the contestants in the logo contest, and the community as a whole, who will be voting on the logos: Thanks for everyone’s participation in this important stepping stone for XC. I believe a great logo, and the branding that will go along with it, will help give XC the next push it needs to gain further recognition and respect within our community. I wanted to clarify to everyone that I, as the developer, currently have a professional team working on branding, marketing, and logo ideas for XC. As such, the XC team will reserve the right to use the contest winner’s logo, to modify it if need be, or in the event that a better proposal is made by the marketing team we’re working with, to use their logo instead. Best of luck to all contestants!

Xero is a brand new cryptocurrency which will begin it's ipo next week. However unlike most IPO coins that turn out to be a scam or have no plan for the future, xero is different. Xero has a plan for the future but it's also a plan that will be constantly evolving with investor feedback. Yes You! as the investor will get to choose how the funds are used.
New Plan: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=621330.msg6915938#msg6915938
If we were to go ahead with the new plan, 90% of the funds will go towards a financial multipool. Rest of the funds will be used for social marketing and expenses.
This multipool will be investment fund which pays out dividends in xero each week. Investors will have a 49% voting share on the long term investments made. 90% of the dividends will be paid out to the investors, the rest (10%) will be paid out to the coin team.
Within the multipool 50% of funds will go towards long term investments, 25% will go towards purchasing mining equipment and the rest will be spent on altcoin trading.
The IPO will be divided into 4 sperate stages. In total 90% of the coin supply will go towards investors and 10% towards the team. This means that the coin will most likely change to a POS format.
Each stage will have an option of escrow and a address will be made public on where funds are held through all stages to levitate any concerns do dumping.
IPO will start on Monday 26th of May.
Coin will be launched within two weeks of 25BTC received.
After launch investors will be receiving their funds as soon as possible. Please note they will be manually processed so this takes time.
The Distribution
Team: 10% of the Supply IPO: 90% of the Supply (Split into 4 different stages)

Last year, I got my first ever bank card and the first thing I ever did with it is buy Bitcoins. At the time I only had 10GBP, I purchased a small amount and then immediately started talking to people on Bitcointalk which actually helped me improve my English skills. After getting some kind of reputation, I had an idea for bitcoin usb cards ( https://i.imgur.com/CM3TZebl.jpg) so I started selling them . This taught me how to handle customers, pre-orders, talk to businesses etc. After the cards where done I started buying and reselling games. Yet again this taught me a lot of things about how to have a small business. During buying/selling, I learned how to look out for scammers both on paypal/ebay and on bitcointalk (and also managed to get me out of buying a BFL Jalapeno). So three months later, I had around 600GBP in my bank account (excluding the money I spent on Nandos ). I bought my first ever desktop computer, had a laptop before and sold that to make up the rest. My actual reason for getting in Bitcoin and starting a business was because my parents said if I want an upgrade, I should buy it myself since my laptop was fairly decent. After this I had a few months off Bitcoin but then I discovered mining. I learned how to mine Litecoin, this was quite an epic journey and I learned loads of things about GPUs, Algorithms etc. Mining was cool but eventually it got boring and plus my mom wasn't happy with the power bills. So what did I do after mining? I started trading altcoins and bitcoins. I still do this to date and so far, I have managed to get 7x profits, there were loses to (nearly lost half on zetacoin). So what did trading teach me? Basically it told me a lot of things about trading. I learned how to read charts, notice patterns and one important thing: diversify your portfolio. I have also put some money into Bitcoin companies. I use to keep 50% in Fiat and 50% in BTC, now it's 20% Fiat and 80% Bitcoin. Bitcoin just works for me, maybe because it combines my libertarian views ( as seen here: http://drasticraven.deviantart.com/) and my love for tech. From June onwards, I plan to learn how to code so I can do cool things with Bitcoin. I also have my A levels and I chose to do Business (Due to you guessed it Bitcoin) and Computer Science. As well as other things, physics + maths. TL:DR : Bitcoin taught me (a teen) a million things including how to invest, look out for scams, create a viable business and just in general some life lessons.

Welcome, fellow community member. We are Coin Alliance, our motto is simple "Think Different. Think Crypto". Why that motto? On February 9th, I created a video for a contest. The video was called "We Think Differently" it was an edited version of the Apple Think Different AD. It was designed to combat the removal of the Bitcoin Wallets from the app store. I didn't win the contest but it was still a great experience plus that video has over 3k views. As always with these type of foundations/alliances there is a lot of skepticism about their founders and goal. I can assure you that I'm a real member of the community, if you need proof just check out my deviant art: http://drasticraven.deviantart.com/. It will show you that I have made wallpapers for the sole reason of spreading the word on crypto. This community has helped me learn a lot of things and I want to give back. I have also done nearly 20BTC in trades since 2013 and I think that the community sees me as somebody who is trustworthy. If you would like to discuss anything with me personally please contact me via twitter @DrasticRaven or bitcointalk https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=9074. http://coinalliance.org/

Dear Community,
We would like to invite you to, help us design our new logo. A long time ago… (Definitely not yesterday!) in a village somewhere in England (Definitely not #Aiden IRC), we decided that it was time to replace the appalling logo that we have been rocking for the past centuries (not 48 hours). There were two possibilities: make it ourselves or kidnap a logo designer and make him to do it for us, no wait there were three.
The third option was to run a contest between the community members and utilize their amazing talent. Since you’re here and I’m writing this you know that we went with the second option. Before you ask, the logo designer is doing fine but he’s missing his cat.On a more serious note we went with the no brainer option, a logo contest. This community is full of amazing and passionate designers (I know because I’m one of them and let’s be honest, I’m pretty amazing). So are you ready? No, well it’s not like you have a choice so here are the terms:
1) You have until the 17th of April to enter a logo into the contest (Entries close at midnight) 2) On the 18th of April community voting will start 3) 24 hours later the entry with the highest amount of votes will win
Aidencoin is a no primemine, no ipo basically no bs coin so we are limited to what we can offer but if the community would like to donate here is the prize donation address: AL7twxkp3ZBnPpLvYuot6NiT9KNbJCfcAN
Thanks,
Teka Community Manager

I understand that a negative post might be looked down upon here but the community has to wake up and act. The attention around Bitcoin has mainly been negative over the last few months especially during February.
The argument that many people put forward when a point such as mine is raised is that all PR is good but that's only true to a degree. When Bitcoin was getting massacred by the press another cryptocurrency was only getting praise. I'm obviously talking about DOGE, the only reason why they grew so quickly is because their community is great at pr. While we were getting articles about the theft of Gox, they were getting articles about sending people to the Olympics.
In order to gain influence you have to get the people on your side and with publicity such as "Bitcoin Hacked" you can't gain mass adoption. There is a reason why politicians spend millions on tv campaigns, to get the majority on their side.
You might believe that fiat will fail and that's the reason why Bitcoin will be successful but I don't think that in order for Bitcoin to succeed we need fiat currencies to fail.
We need to fight against the negative articles and fight for great PR. We need to get rid of amateurs exchanges. We need to spread the word about Bitcoin. We need positive advertisements on high profile news networks, magazines etc. I don't believe that the world press is against bitcoin, they are uneducated and that's different. We need to educate the press.
What do you guy's think?

Hi,
These boards can be pickuped for great price here in the UK.They seem to meet all of the usual criteria for mining and are made by a decent brand. I was wondering if anyone can give me an insight into how reliable these boards are? Also, I didn't spend a lot of time researching any other boards since I just saw this one and thought the price was great so if you think there are better boards out there please feel free to reply in this thread.

Hi Everyone,
After doing some researching and making some "demo" trades, I've decided that I want to start short trading. I'm based out of the UK so getting good exchanges here is pretty much impossible. I've decided that the easiest way to do it would be to trade it on a "dollar" exchange and then just withdraw all the btc after I'm done short trading. My main question here is; What exchange would you recommend for short trading BTC?
Thanks,
Teka
p.s: I would like to apologize to the mods if this in the incorrect sub-forum.

Over the last few days, I have been looking for an upgrade to my 7950 so I decided to check ebay to see if a crossfire option would be a good way to go but I saw that for some reason the used gpu's were nearly as expensive as new ones and they were a lot more expensive then when I bought my 7950 open box. After realizing that I might as well sell my 7950 I went looking for other options and when I decided that a r9 290 was the way to go since my friend recently bought one and the mining/gaming performance was quite good I went looking for deals online. As it turned the MSI R9 290 that my friend bought a week ago for £311 new was now £332. So I started researching why the price suddenly increased and as it turns out much to my surprise it was us miners who were behind the price increase and although it was my first thought I didn't think we made that much of a difference to the gpu market share. Related Article on Maximum PC: http://www.maximumpc.com/amd_radeon_r9_290x_short_supply_bitcoin_mining_blameSo what do you guys think about this? Should AMD make a crazy overkill mining gpu? I mean Nvidia did make a crazy gaming gpu that was a little bit on the expensive side aka TITAN. P.S MODS I'M NOT SURE IF THIS THE RIGHT PLACE FOR THIS SO PLEASE MOVE IT IF IT ISN'T.

It's seems like the site is down for maintenance: We'll Be Back We're busy updating the AMD Radeon Rewards for you and well be back soon. Maybe they are adding new games to the list. There are some rumors online that they will be adding BF4 but who knows.
