1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Premier League has asked clubs to voluntarily end Gambling deals on: July 05, 2022, 03:33:35 AM
I believe that most of you will know by now that some well known casino’s here are seen on premier league club shirts, but it looks like that they’ll have to look elsewhere to spend their marketing budget as premier league has asked clubs to take a voluntary ban on gambling sites that are seen on their shirts.

Furthermore the clubs have been given up to 2024 - 2025 to end such deals under this voluntary ban, however it’s yet not official but if 14 clubs accept it then it’ll be applicable with immediate effect, so what are your thoughts on this is the rule bit too harsh or it’s justified?.
2  Economy / Economics / I feel the report about UK economy losing 700 billion is wrong!!! on: May 11, 2021, 07:19:13 AM
NIESR has prepared an report which projects an loss of £700 billion for the UK economy in 5 years time, and they have blamed Boris government for this projected loss.

However I feel that UK economy will bounce back strongly, and not only will they prove this report wrong but they will be able to outgrow the pre pandemic economic levels.

The key reason for my analysis is that UK has vaccinated over 60% of it’s population, and this means that soon it’ll be business as usual for them, and hence their economy will be able to bounce back faster and stronger than what the economists had initially predicted.

3  Economy / Economics / Will the Australian economy get effected due to the current crisis with China? on: May 06, 2021, 01:26:04 PM
I’m sure each one here will be aware of the current economic crisis between Australia and China, and now things have gotten further out of hands as China has suspended all talks under under the China-Australia Strategic Economic Dialogue. It’s also pertinent to note that the meet under the Strategic Economic Dialogue hasn’t taken place since 2017, but it’s a big sign that China won’t hesitate to stop trading with Australia, so what do you’ll think of the current crisis between the two countries?.

4  Economy / Speculation / CoinDesk editor believes Bitcoin will hit 1 million per coin. on: May 05, 2021, 03:37:24 AM
In an live interview with Yahoo Finance Coindesk Editor has boldly claimed that bitcoin will be hitting $1 million dollar per one bitcoin, and given the current market trends how realistic do you feel his statements is?. Also if you believe there’s a huge possibility of this being true, then what time frame would you speculate about seeing Bitcoin prices crossing this huge milestone.

5  Economy / Economics / US economy is booming, but people are not seeing it. on: May 04, 2021, 02:04:38 PM
US economy is finally booming and it is a big relief for all of us, but in a worrying sign people are yet not seeing that boom, and this makes me wonder what happens if the general masses can’t feel the boom, will the US economy once again slip downwards?.

Furthermore what do you’ll feel is the key reason why people are missing seeing this boom in the economy, and I have read several reasons in the media but if someone has some personal perspective then please do share it.

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / New Government Rules Mean No More Gambling Sponsorship on: February 08, 2021, 03:20:36 AM
I’m disappointed with the government as this is not the best time to enforce this:

Quote

Football has been warned it faces a “significant impact” with the Government ready to impose a major crackdown on betting sponsorship.

Ministers could impose a complete ban on shirt sponsorship with gambling firms as part of their review with teams from the top two divisions making around £110m-a-year from the tie-ups.

What are your thoughts on this do you agree with the government or you’re against this proposal, and how do you think that the club owners will react knowing that they’ll have to suffer more financial losses if this is implemented.

7  Economy / Service Discussion / Applying for a lower member rank - read what popular managers say. on: January 26, 2021, 12:29:47 PM
There’s a lot of debate about whether a high ranking member can apply for a lower position in a signature campaign or he/she can’t, and I know responses of two popular managers, and as and when I find more managers views I’ll add them.

This shall stop campaign participants from spamming the signature campaign thread, cause it’s freaking annoying to read posts from users who have no control over who’s gonna be selected.

PS: if other campaign managers want to share their views post below, and I’ll add them to the op.

If a Legendary wants to apply, it it allowed. They will sit in the member rank position until they are eligible to be moved up. That means, everyone who is eligible to rank up moves up ahead of the last person that joined. I also will choose the best candidate for the position. Looking at who earns merits more often, who posts in more boards, who posts in the gambling section, who has a good reputation, who stays out of most of the discussion boards, and lastly who isn't an asshat on the forum

As seen above yahoo62278 is okay with higher members applying for lower ranks for the campaigns that he manages.

Thank you all for the applications! It is tempting to hire someone with a higher rank but I prefer to stay true to the positions and to not get confused about moving members up (essentially don't want to create a queue).

Hhampuz has stated he doesn’t accept higher ranking members for lower ranking positions for the campaigns he manages.

"Usually I allow to apply hire rank participants on my campaign, but there are some standard (of my own). If there are no appropriate participants for the desired ranks, then I accept from hire ranks candidates. Doesn't matter if a high reputed and high earned merit users apply there, I will not accept them if I feel there is an appropriate candidate for the desired rank who meets the campaign requirements. Because, otherwise low ranks members wouldn't join in the campaign since there are lots of high-rank members ready to take a spot from lower ranks."

Hope this helps all who’re keen to participate in signature campaigns, and saves signature managers time too.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Tech Giants are setting dangerous precedents, and society is at risk. on: January 16, 2021, 06:11:50 AM
First it was Jack who decided to ban Trump and while I understand why he had to do it, but yet it’s scary because if the President of USA account is not safe then what chance do we have to keep our accounts safe.

Furthermore now Google has decided that Australians should not get access to news sites, and basically they’re at their mercy what they show they have to see, and this is super scary because there is no free internet anymore.

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Attention: Biden has officially won, make sure your sportsbook pay you. on: January 07, 2021, 10:22:48 AM
I don’t know who needs to see this but hey it’s finally over as Biden has officially won, and now your sports book can no longer hide or make any excuses about not releasing your payment if you had wagered on Biden. It’s been a long stressful waiting period for you’ll, but now make sure that you’re paid, or post here if the casinos don’t pay so we all can know that they’re a scam site, and we all can then stay away from them.

10  Other / Politics & Society / 25th Amendment is needed, but won’t it make things worse?. on: January 07, 2021, 10:02:19 AM
I believe that at this stage we all know what’s happening in US, and to be honest many of us saw this coming but not in the manner it took place last night (riots). Furthermore the growing demand for 25th Amendment is scary, because then Trump will openly tell his supporters this was planned against him, and America will only continue to burn. Lastly I feel that Trump should be removed from the office right away, but it has to be done with a proper plan and not just throw him out.

11  Other / Politics & Society / Is it time to uninstall WhatsApp? on: January 06, 2021, 03:24:35 PM
I’m going to keep this really short because they broke their promise about sharing our data with Facebook, and I don’t know about you’ll, but I’m not at all comfortable with the way they broke their promise. So the question remains will you uninstall WhatsApp or continue to use it despite your data being openly shared with Facebook.

Quote
There has also been a lot of inaccurate and careless information circulating about what our future partnership would mean for WhatsApp users’ data and privacy. I’d like to set the record straight […]

Respect for your privacy is coded into our DNA, and we built WhatsApp around the goal of knowing as little about you as possible […] If partnering with Facebook meant that we had to change our values, we wouldn’t have done it. Instead, we are forming a partnership that would allow us to continue operating independently and autonomously. Our fundamental values and beliefs will not change. Our principles will not change.

Quote

WhatsApp users are receiving an in-app notice today regarding the service’s new terms and privacy policy. The notice, as you can see in the attached screenshot, talks about three key updates that affect how WhatsApp processes your data, how businesses can use Facebook hosted services to store and manage their WhatsApp chats, and how WhatsApp will soon partner with Facebook to offer deeper integrations across all of the latter’s products. It further reveals that these changes will go into effect on February 8th, and users will have no choice but to accept these changes if they wish to continue using WhatsApp

13  Other / Politics & Society / Brexit Deal Done finally!!! on: December 24, 2020, 04:02:53 PM
I’m so happy to see some positive news in this nightmare year, because finally Britain will exit with a trade deal in place. Furthermore I’m yet studying the impact that this deal will have on Britain, but wanted to know from you’ll is this the deal that Britain residents wanted?.

14  Economy / Economics / US Economy finally rebounds in the right direction. on: December 23, 2020, 04:00:28 AM
I don’t even have to say it but it’s been a horrible year for the US economy, but as we finally bid this year a goodbye it seems that the US economy is finally starting to rebound in the right direction. Furthermore where businesses are allowed to remain open those states are recording low number of unemployed people, which shows that a recovery in the short term is quiet possible don’t you’ll think so?.

16  Other / Politics & Society / UK has approved Covid Vaccine - Will you take it if you’re in UK? on: December 02, 2020, 09:29:10 AM
I knew that this day was coming sooner then later, and now the UK government has officially selected the vaccine that it feels will save it’s citizen’s but a big question that remains yet to be unanswered is will the UK citizen‘s take it?.

Furthermore don’t get me wrong I respect their decision to save their citizens life’s, but in my personal opinion I would not inject these vaccines, and hence I wanted to know from members who’re from UK will you’ll inject this vaccine into your body?.

18  Economy / Economics / JP Morgan takes a different stand than Wall Street - US Q1 GDP will decline. on: November 21, 2020, 10:09:59 AM
I don’t know about you’ll but I was expecting US Q1 GDP to rise marginally, and even Wall Street was sharing a similar sentiment that Q1 GDP will bounce upwards, but JP Morgan has sensationally claimed that US Q1 GDP will not be rising upwards.

It’s also pertinent to note that by taking such a stance, they have become the first bank which has openly suggested that US Q1 GDP will be weak, and this is not a news that Americans would like to hear.

Lastly anyone here feels that their prediction could go wrong?, because I’m sincerely wishing it does go wrong.

Quote

JPMorgan economists now see an economic contraction in the first quarter due to the spreading coronavirus and related restrictions being imposed by states and cities.

The new forecast is a departure from Wall Street’s widely held view that the first quarter would be positive, with an improving economy throughout 2021.

19  Other / Politics & Society / Trump’s dangerous last stand to retain power!!! on: November 21, 2020, 07:23:57 AM
I’m stunned to read that Trump apparently wants Republican battleground states to ignore the will of the people, and cast their electoral votes in his favour, and if this happens then I believe it’ll be the end of the democracy in America (my personal opinion).

However the good news is that the states are not in favour of his proposal at least that’s what they’re saying to the media, but what if during voting they decide to cast their votes in Trump's favour won’t it create chaos in America?.

What do you’ll think will happen if the states bend to his will, will it be the end of America’s democracy?.

20  Economy / Economics / Will Biden Tax Policy help or hurt Americans? on: November 19, 2020, 01:19:27 PM
I believe that we all know what Biden’s tax policy is going to be, as he had clearly advocated this in the run up to the elections, and now I believe is the right time to discuss what impact will it bring for Americans.

1) This policy plans to target those who earn $400,000 in wages, and levy an additional 12.4% tax on their existing tax structure.

2) Those who earn $125,000 a year will see lots of benefits from this policy:

Quote

Lower-income Americans, by contrast, may see benefits through an expanded Earned Income Tax Credit, an expanded Child Tax Credit, and a proposal to institute free college for families that make less than $125,000 a year, Prisinzano said.

Lastly in such a pandemic year do you’ll feel that he’s right to levy additional tax on the wealthy as they’re already reeling due to covid? or do you’ll feel that he’ll relax his tax policies for a while.
