[About æternity]

About æternity

æternity is a blockchain designed for fast and efficient smart contract processing.

æternity has developed an innovative approach to scalability with an oracle. Based on our approach to storing Turing-complete contract code in state channels rather than on-chain, we have been able to make smart contracts easier to analyze and faster to process. This increases scalability since all transactions become independent and can thus be processed in parallel. Additionally, this means that contracts never write to shared state, greatly simplifying their testing and verification.

æternity will be powered by the æternity token.

æternity tokens are used as payment for any resources one consumes on the platform, as well as the basis for financial applications implemented on the platform.

The distribution of æternity token [AE] in the genesis block will be determined by a smart contract hosted on Ethereum.

æternity tokens will be managed by accounts which will have an address and balance, implemented alongside a naming system which will support human-friendly names mapped to an aeternity address.

The æternity team is delighted to present you the official bounty-program. Over the next weeks, we invite you to participate in our campaigns and help us to build a strong community.

Details:
For this bitcointalk bounty program, æternity has reserved 1,000,000 AE Token (1,000 ETH). All of these AE tokens will be fully distributed among the æternity bounty campaign participants. As the total amount of participants is unknown, the AE token will be allocated, based on a predetermined amount for each bounty campaign.

Example: In the signature campaign a campaign participant will get stakes on a weekly basis during the backing campaign and at the end your amount of AE token will be calculated with the following formula:

(Amount allocated for specified campaign  /  Total amount of stakes)  *  Member's stakes

Example: 400.000/12.000*100=3333.33 AE

Team æternity presents the blog post (article) bounty campaign. 130.000 tokens will be distributed to the best writers among you. Everyone can take part by preparing a 500+ words blog post and publishing it online.
 
Rules

1. All entries must be submitted online and accessible by everyone.
2. Your blog post must be original (ANN thread, whitepaper and website content don't count).
3. We don’t allow outdated websites; the website you choose to publish, must be at least 2 months old, must show (users) daily activity/activity on a daily basis.
4. Mind the word count. Have 500+ words (not symbols) or more.
5. Make sure that your article includes two links to either æternity website, blog, bitcointalk threads, or Reddit page (at least one of those link).
6. For more information about æternity visit our website. You can find more technical details in the white paper. The blog is also a good source of information.

INTRODUCCIÓN

æternity es una nueva blockchain diseñada para smart contracts rápidos y seguros que se conectan con información del mundo real a través de un oráculo descentralizado. La escalabilidad se consigue con el uso de state channels Turing-complete (sin-confianza), una gran diferencia con Ethereum. De esta forma, los smart contratcs se vuelven más seguros y fáciles de analizar. La información del mundo real se obtiene a través del diseño innovador de oráculos, que está basado en mercados de predicción. Los state channels aumentan la escalabilidad ya que todas las transacciones se vuelven independientes y pueden así, ser procesadas en paralelo. Adicionalmente, esto significa que los contratos nunca escriben en el estado compartido, simplificando enormemente su prueba y verificación. æternity será energizado por el token æternity (símbolo AE). Los tokens de æternity se utilizan como pago para cualquier recurso que se consuma en la plataforma, así como base para las aplicaciones implementadas en la plataforma. La distribución de los tokens de æternity [AE] en el bloque génesis será determinada por un smart contract alojado en Ethereum. Los tokens de æternity serán manejados por cuentas que tendrán una dirección y un balance, implementado junto con un sistema alias (nombres) que permitirá nombres legibles asignados a una dirección de æternity. STATE CHANNELS

La blockchain de æternity aprovecha los state channels, haciendo a los smart contracts más rápidos, seguros y privados. Primero, dos usuarios abren un state channel al depositarle algunos AE tokens. IMPLEMENTACIÓN

El código principal de la blockchain æternity está escrito en Erlang, lo que facilita la escritura de aplicaciones distribuidas, tolerantes a fallos, funcionales en tiempo real, altamente disponibles y sin interrupciones. Erlang es el idioma perfecto para escribir una blockchain desde cero y al utilizarlo, conseguimos una estabilidad operativa y rendimiento superior.

INTEGRACIÓN WEB y MÓVIL

æternity es "principalmente móvil", lo que es cierto debido a la convergencia de tecnologías web con las móviles y el nuevo algoritmo de minería que incluso es eficiente para minería con teléfonos móviles. Una librería Javascript y REST APIs para interactuar con la blockchain harán que sea más fácil la integración en aplicaciones web/móviles y servicios ya existentes. æternity has developed an innovative approach to scalability with an oracle. Based on our approach to storing Turing-complete contract code in state channels rather than on-chain, we have been able to make smart contracts easier to analyze and faster to process. INTRO

æternity is a new blockchain - designed for fast and secure smart contracts interfacing with real-world data via a decentralized oracle. Scalability is achieved by using (trustless) Turing-complete state channels, a major difference to Ethereum. This way the smart contracts also become easier to analyze and more secure. The interface to real-world data is done via an innovative oracle design, which is based on prediction markets. State channels increase scalability since all transactions become independent and can thus be processed in parallel. Additionally, this means that contracts never write to shared state, greatly simplifying their testing and verification. æternity will be powered by the æternity token - AE symbol. æternity tokens are used as payment for any resources one consumes on the platform, as well as the basis for applications implemented on the platform. STATE CHANNELS

æternity’s blockchain leverages state channels which makes smart contracts faster, more secure and more private. First, two users open up a state channel via depositing some AE tokens into it. They can agree to arbitrary smart contracts. This allows for transactions to be conducted as fast as information can be transmitted and processed by the parties, instead of them having to wait until the transaction has been validated—and potentially finalized— by the blockchain’s consensus mechanism. This æternity blockchain is used to settle the final outcome or to resolve conflicts that arise. It’s decisions are foreseeable, thereby ruling out malicious activity between parties who try to erode the state channels to which they’ve written and previously agreed to. The transfer of æon is the only effect channels can have on the blockchain, only those æon that have been deposited into the state channel can be transferred. This makes all channels independent from each other, which has the immediate benefit that any transactions related to channels can be processed in parallel, greatly improving transaction throughput.

SMART CONTRACTS

æternity uses a Turing-complete (new) virtual machine with MAST (Merkelized Abstract Syntax Trees) to process smart contracts. Within æternity, smart contracts are pure functions in the form of financial agreements that distribute funds according to predetermined rules. MAST enables that, in case a smart contract needs to be enforced by the blockchain, only the relevant part of the smart contract needs to be published, achieving again higher scalability and confidentiality. Only the involved parties know about the contract Only parties that have an open state channel can create a valid contract Every state change or code update gets signed by both counterparties of the contract It is only submitted to the blockchain if its outcome is disputed, in which case the code is only ever stored as part of the submitted transaction, never in any other state. If this happens, the blockchain distributes the tokens according to the contract and closes the channel.

IMPLEMENTATION

æternity core blockchain code is written in Erlang, which makes it easy to write distributed, fault-tolerant, soft real-time, highly available, non-stop applications. Erlang is the perfect language to write a blockchain from scratch and by using it, we achieve a superior operational stability and performance.

WEB AND MOBILE INTEGRATION

æternity is 'mobile first', which is true because of the convergence of mobile and web technologies and new mining algo which is even efficiently minable on smart phones. A Javascript library and REST APIs for engaging with the core blockchain will make the integration into existing web/mobile apps or services easier. ReactJS will be the framework of choice two write reusable modules in, for the UI. These modules can easily be reused on the web, as well as on mobile, and even compile down to native apps on mobile, becoming more snappy. Also an Ethereum and Bitcoin bridge via Cosmos/Polkadot is planned.
