WE ARE TAKING BLAKESTAR TO THE NEXT LEVEL

A NEW BRAND ENVISIONED BY THE COMMUNITY WILL BE DECIDED. EVERYONE WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO SUBMIT THEIR OWN IDEA OF WHAT BLAKESTAR SHOULD BECOME.

DISCORD HAS PROVEN TO BE A GREAT TOOL FOR COMMUNICATION AND GROUP BUILDING. WE WILL USE OUR CHANNEL AT https://discord.gg/QwcpYhq TO ACCEPT SUBMISSIONS.

Everyone please join the discord channel and join in on the discussion as this project is all about the community. The more people involved, the better our brand name and look can be! After a small submission period a winner will be decided to be used by our new marketing team to build upon. THERE ARE NO WINNINGS TO BE MADE. This is not a contest to win coins. This is an honest attempt at a true community of holders making decisions for their coin.

BlakeStar is a cryptocurrency with a focus on high performance, longevity, and adoption by services.

BlakeStar is one of the first cryptocurrencies to use the Blake2s hashing algorithm. Blake2s itself is a high speed optimized cryptographic hashing algorithm used for Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake hashes in BlakeStar for performance with low load. BlakeStar uses Proof-of-Work, but unlike Bitcoin it is configured to transition to Proof-of-Stake, when small numbers of coins will be issued yearly for staking. Staking will be 10% per year. The advantage of transitioning to Proof-of-Stake is to avoid the centralized mining pools that may eventually threaten Bitcoin with a 51% attack. Most Bitcoin mining has been centralized in China, which is not necessarily a good thing for the currency. Proof-of-Stake is known to discourage centralized mining pools. This makes BlakeStar ideally suited for dedicated staking devices and low-power/low-spec systems.

Originally dependent on the "libb2" library version of the Blake2s reference distribution, the blake2s reference implementation has now been directly baked in for ease of compilation across platforms. Users no longer need to download and install libb2 separately.

If you are technical and you wish to compile libb2 specifically for your platform you may still do so (the configure script will auto-detect and enable special CPU features), you can modify your .pro or daemon makefile.* to remove the blake2 source and object file references, add -lb2 to your LIBS and paths to the includes and library.

BlakeStar will feature a number of innovative solutions devised to foster the growth of the ecosystem.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / GMB GAMBLEO WALLET on: June 04, 2017, 02:22:09 PM
WARNING THIS TOPIC WILL NOT BE MODERATED OR CONTINUED

CoinExchange has become aware that the dev of GMB Gambleo never released the wallet to the public after the ICO.

He did however send a copy of the windows wallet and the source to CoinExchange after some time.

I am releasing this wallet for the community. I have arranged for a temporary pool at http://64.137.174.176 and have gotten the chain moving for now. I don't know how long I can keep the chain moving at the price I'm paying for the hash.

DAEMON FEATURES

Cookie Authentication
There is no need for the rpcuser/password parameters in honey.conf to run the daemon.

    For a headless staking node all you need is:

Code:
daemon=1

They can still be defined, but if not, an authentication cookie file will be generated in the .honey directory and deleted on shutdown. So one less step to take to run a headless node for staking.

        Example setup for honey.conf is:

Code:
   listen=1
    server=1
    daemon=1
    port=40638
    rpcport=40639
    rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
    rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
    rpcuser=make.one.up
    rpcpassword=make.one.up

QT GUI FEATURES

Integrated block explorer
Two themes, default light theme and an optional dark theme
More features to come

Any donations will be used to support nodes and the development team. Thanks in advance for your support!
