Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How long will cryptsy stay broken?? ?? 1 week 2weeks 3weeks? ban bots also ffs

Is there even an ETA on this? The site is totally broken, people losing coins, bots running wild, deposits never showing up, i have witnessed a trade vanish i.e the balance was reduced and the trade never showed ....so it must be in the queue right?? no because another trade made later was processed as normal.
What is happening at that place right now? i would be careful making any trades or withdrawing or depositing anything. I think the db is totally falling over and there will be lost data...lost coins.
A week of it crawling and falling over and still no eta on this being fixed??
1. go back to logging out people who are idle asap.
2. block these bots that are injecting 1000's or orders into the book for small amounts.
3. Hire a tech team that can stop you having what is essentially a week of downtime
by the time the 5 new servers are shipped to you you will need 10 more
where is cryptsy even hosted? why are you colo on this project? why are you not in some dc that lays servers on within a few hours of needing them?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [BTCE - PETITION] - please add the top 10 coins at the very least
|

Come on guys , add some additional coins - put at the very least the top 10 coins on your site.
We need somewhere we can trade them, right now there is only cryptsy and they just can't take this kind of influx of new people into the alt market.
If you don't add them i think also you will lose out long term.
TBH cryptsy is an excellent exchange and has been great for alts in the past. However now people need other options, it is never good to have all eggs in one basket and really for alts cryptsy is the only place right now and for the past week it has demonstrated it can not cope with so many new traders.
Please put a +1 on this thread if you want to see this happen.
I see the btce shoutbox is full of people talking about other alts that are currently not on BTCE.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Make more Sh!Tcoins - come on lets have millions of them...

Oh no, another wave of sh!tcoins are coming.... lets hope the exchanges dont add any of them, they make alts look bad and provide nothing new.
What is the point of these copy and paste coins that do nothiing new?
Either have a new concept of just develop useful tools for existing coins. Cryptsy is hopefully not going to add any other new coins for ages.
Datacoin was the last one that had any kind of new feature, and even that has not been added as yet.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptsy ? are you rebranding soon??

what is going on with that place? how many days to fix up this mess?
Best stick to terminating idle sessions because really that was 10X better than this. All new comers to the alt world will be most impressed.
Spend less time coding more fancy features to attract new business when you cant even handle the traders you do have. Points, affilate linking?? how about getting some hardware and code something that scales out. DAYS of this now. How long before it just all grind to a halt. Invest in functionality before anything else.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / cramming so many cards on to one mobo, space the only real advantage??
|
on: November 25, 2013, 04:13:32 PM

When there are so many nice cpu coins these days to make money on there is no real reason to cram 7 x 7950 on one mobo
a lot cheaper mobo a lot lot cheaper psu - under half price for some 750 watt ones.
Yeah ram and hd cost a little bit but really in terms of price and electricity but small ssd drive take hardly any power now, 3 cards each with a i5 or i7 can easily and i mean easily pay back any slight extra you pay out on that. A few extra i5 or i7 put early on a cpu coin is well worth having extra machines around. Also even left constantly mining they will more than pay their electricity over cpu just on for powering gpus.
I see no reason except space saving now to really cram so many gpu on one build. I'm just going to throw up more rigs with more cpu capacity from now on.
