21  Economy / Economics / How to train your money for costly bitcoin? on: November 03, 2017, 03:22:09 PM
Given the situation of bitcoin prices are growing higher and more higher since last few weeks is becoming more and more difficult to keep up with the regular small fixed amount of purchase. Earlier for 100 dollars a month or bimonthly I was able to see the reasonable amount of bitcoin ( or should I say satoshis). Nowadays the prices have gone high which feels real good for existing amount purchased so far. However at the same time getting clueless about how much should be put aside for regular bitcoin purchase. Because for 100 dollars the amount of satoshis we get is nothing.
What do you think how to tackle the problem of investing in bitcoin on regular basis with prices going high and higher?
22  Economy / Economics / Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: October 31, 2017, 12:17:10 PM
In the traditional investment systems  there are areas like stock exchange, real estates, commodity market, forex market. Then there are hedge funds, mutual funds, equity, debentures. Next in line are precious metals like Gold, silver, diamond. Years after year and decades after decades when mainstream economics was convincing people that how one of above is better than other as it is giving returns in the range of 8% to 9% at max 10-13% a new revolution named bitcoin is rising and spreading across the world. Bitcoin has defied all conventional knowledge about return on interest. Surviving each negative publicity and doubts, incidents like mt. gox and still growing better than ever.

What do you think why bitcoin is the best investment than stocks, real-estate, gold or any other conventional investment?
23  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin investment with lump sum or regular small amount on: October 04, 2017, 09:12:33 AM
Hello,

While investing in stock, commodity, bitcoin, alt-coins, forex etc one could go with
1: Lump sum purchase of big amount. Purchase bitcoin in quantity when price is comparatively low that previous weeks. Purchase date, timing could be adjusted as per individual suiting.

2: Other way is to follow the SIP that systematic investment plan. This SIP will purchase bitcoin  worth $100 or whatever predefined amount. So monthly purchase of fifty dollars or convenient one worth bitcoins will be purchased. Irrespective of price of bitcoin at that time.

What do you think which one works best in long term? and which one works in short term? Which will earn better profit?
24  Economy / Economics / Is NOW the best time to buy or enter in bitcoin? on: September 18, 2017, 07:15:01 AM
Bitcoin prices plunged from $4900 to $3300 withing pan of few days. Now some news-points from bitcoin world are claiming this price plunge was planned. Check following links:

https://news.bitcoin.com/after-the-boss-calls-bitcoin-a-fraud-jp-morgan-buys-the-dip/
http://btc-flow.in/2017/09/16/after-the-boss-calls-bitcoin-a-fraud-jp-morgan-buys-the-dip/
http://btc-flow.in/2017/09/16/after-the-boss-calls-bitcoin-a-fraud-jp-morgan-buys-the-dip/

Now without going into whether above claims are true or not, my concern is "Isn't this is the right time to enter the bitcoin market or purchase few more". There is definite signs of improvement in the bitcoin price market. Current price is around $3757. It is quite possible to see bitcoin back to 4k to 5k or more. Given biggest players from finance sector are eying this lucrative market.
What do you think, is this is right time to buy some more bitcoins or wait and watch?
25  Economy / Economics / China banning bitcoin exchages, good or bad? on: September 11, 2017, 10:51:21 AM
Chinese govt has decided to ban the local bitcoin exchanges. [1] This is pretty big news considering one of large market and mining firms are located in China.
Do you think this would affect  bitcoin world and bitcoin price in negative way or positive way?  Some say china is doing so because people are bypassing the banking system and in turn the government regulation using bitcoin.

26  Economy / Economics / What will be the future of BITCOIN's current bullrun? on: May 04, 2017, 05:53:14 AM
In a great comeback from the ETF rejection bitcoin recovered from ~900$ to the new ATH 1500$. What do you think when will this bitcoin bullrun stop or will it continue to grow at same speed?
I remember in a thread a person predicted that by the start of year 2017 bitcoin will touch 1200$-1300$ then it will fall back to 800-900$ then it will grow back to 1500$ by the year end it will touch 2000$.
What do you think about current and future bitcoin ups and down ?
27  Local / India / India's Lack of regulation allowed bitcoin pyramid schemes on: March 14, 2017, 06:37:50 AM
As per recent Cointelegraph article, small time scammers, took advantage of lack of regulation in India to start Bitcoin Pyramid Schemes which in turn is giving bad reputation to the bitcoin. The interview of Zebpay founder and Unocoin shared their views on this kind of practices. As per my understanding Zebpay has/had warning against investing in MLM or pyramid schemes. Detailed article is at:

28  Local / India / current bitcoin price drop result of Chinese exchanges on: March 09, 2017, 12:14:41 PM
The chinese exchanges have continued to hold the suspension on the withdrawals. This is a big thing. Because this time the ban is for indefinite time. suspension will lift only after regulators approve internal compliance upgrades. Withing few hours, the price drops in bitcoin prices fell sharply and continued to remain so.

30  Local / India / Axis, HDFC, ICICI banks will charge Rs.150 per transaction after 4 transaction on: March 02, 2017, 05:40:47 AM
In a shocking move, many banks like axis, hdfc, icici have decided to charge 150 per transaction beyond 4 transaction per month effective from today. These transaction charges are for cash deposits and withdrawals beyond four free transactions in a month.
These charges are applicable for saving as well as salary account as well.  Some are terming this move as curbing cash transaction and promote digital transaction.  For more information check:

http://www.thehindu.com/business/Industry/Axis-Bank-HDFC-Bank-ICICI-Bank-to-charge-Rs.-150-for-cash-transactions/article17392291.ece?homepage=true

I personally think this move is forcing people to stay away from banks and keep the cash at home. In a way it may help some bitcoin-literate people to use more and more bitcoin-oriented transaction.

31  Economy / Economics / What would be effect of denial from ETF on: February 24, 2017, 05:13:17 PM
As per ETFdailynews[1], there are only 35% chances of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approving WINKLEVOSS BITCOIN TRUST ETF.  Now given situation many are thinking and pumping their money in purchase may find it difficult. Would it trigger bear phase in market.

This is not the first time when ETF has declined bitcoin. This is third time ETF will consider bitcoin.  Bettor have put only 35% money on approval by ETF

32  Economy / Scam Accusations / Founder of Indian Bitcoin Mining Pool GBMiners Running a Ponzi Scam gainbitcoin on: February 18, 2017, 10:43:48 AM
Finally other bitcoin news-media are also uncovering the ponzi scam called gainbitcoin running under bitcoin cloud mining from India based bitcoin miner Gbminers founder.  This article dugs deeper and explains how gbminer and cloud mining scheme/scam gainbitcoin are linked/related. When all bitcoin world is crying over lower returns from bitcoin mining, gainbitcoin is giving extravagant return promise on bitcoin mining contracts. Till now they have steadily paid monthly payout to their investors. however running their contracts on coinwarz tells different story of returns.

Articles also takes on their bitcoin wallet 'coinbank' which is apparently looks more like rebranded version of the open-source Bitpay wallet.    For more details check following link:

http://coinjournal.net/founder-india-based-bitcoin-mining-pool-gbminers-running-ponzi-scheme/

Interestingly there is a thread [1] in bitcointalk.org exposing scam nature of gainbitcoin. That thread covers scams in more detailed manner.

33  Local / India / State Bank of India Announces Financial Blockchain Consortium ‘Bankchain’ on: February 18, 2017, 09:46:24 AM
The State Bank of India(SBI) is taking major lead in adopting blockchain technology in financial banking related solution on wide-spread. Other banks like ICICI HDFC, Axis, Kotak Mahindra  etc are participant. Technical companies like  IBM, Microsoft and KPMG etc will be involved from technical perspective. Apparently they are calling it as bankchain  there version of blockchain.

It is showing how much serious approach towards blockchain adoption.

More details are at:

PS: Adoption of blockchain has nothing to do with adoption of bitcoin.
34  Economy / Economics / Gradual Investment opportunities in bitcoin world on: February 16, 2017, 07:34:25 AM
I've checked many threads about the investments and most of them are about either with fiat currency or Gold. Currently many bitcoin users have 'buy-n-hold' policy for earning profit from bitcoins. Or trading bitcoins in bitcoin exchange. I was not able to find widely available, legit investment opportunities with bitcoin [1]. Something like Fix deposit scheme for bitcoin. There are very schemes and that too hard to believe [1][2][3]

Are you aware of any such investment opportunities?
What kind of investment opportunities are possible with bitcoin in future?

35  Economy / Economics / Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: February 09, 2017, 07:35:35 AM
Here is a interesting, hypothetical situation. What will you do if there is a MLM scam going on and it is in early stage. It is assuring 10% monthly return in bitcoins (of course it has that referral bonus part as well but it is optional, you don't need referral as you are getting 10% on your investment.).  B'cause of it's early stage, people are investing happily and getting returns monthly. In short equation of incoming source money > outgoing money. By looking at situation, let's say this scam/scheme will go on two more year.   There are some people who rip benefits from these kind of scams/schemes as they invest very early and in large chunk.

Will you invest in such scheme well before it vanishes with bitcoins/money?
36  Economy / Economics / Effects of transaction charges per trade in China market on: January 24, 2017, 07:15:04 AM
Most of us may be aware of this information that China is about or might have imposed trading charges per bitcoin transaction. Effects of this news were/are imminent. Looks like everyone is in 'wait and watch'.  This move from the Chinese goverment might be boon for  bitcoin market. As traders will be more observant while trading.
What are your opinions about effects this move?

* Check the huobi market[1], either there is very less trade happening or site has a problem.
* Check the OKCoin[1], which shows more trading

37  Bitcoin / Mining / How to calculate/verify daily bitcoins mined by particular mining company? on: January 16, 2017, 02:50:34 PM
Hello,

I hope I'm starting thread in correct section. Is there a way to verify or calculate daily bitcoins calculated by particular bitcoin miner from particular pool. If we want to check available pool from  https://blockchain.info/pools  then there is a list of available pools.

If we select https://blockchain.info/blocks/Bitcoin.com as specimen pool, then clicking on that pool shows following information:
https://blockchain.info/blocks/Bitcoin.com

Now, how to calculate amount of bitcoins mined from this pool hourly/daily basis?

38  Local / India / Are gainbitcoin.com and gbminers.com related to each other? on: December 29, 2016, 10:48:17 AM
Hello,

1. https://www.gainbitcoin.com  has Amit Bharadwaj/Kumar as one of promoter
2. http://gbminers.com is project from the Amaze Mining & Blockchain Research Ltd. This Amaze mining and blockchain Research Ltd is a firm by Amit Bharadwaj as well.
3. http://gbminer.com is another site which has same layout as gainbitcoin.com

As per the gainbintcoin.com supporters/investors/devotees  this  gbminers.com is a mining platform and gainbitcoin.com is just a customer portal.

Interestingly with the reference of https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/5dryfh/psa_gbminerscom_is_backed_by_gainbitcoincom_ponzi/   gbminers.com claim that they are NOT related to the gainbitcoin in any way.

Now these are two opposite claims from both sides having same owner create confusion.   With further verification of information provided in https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/5dryfh/psa_gbminerscom_is_backed_by_gainbitcoincom_ponzi/      they claim that gbminers.com is product of http://darwinlabs.io.  Now on darwinlabs.io does not mention anything about gbminers.com at all.  The reply is from some sanjay@gbminers.com . This user is also active on bitcointalk.org as well. Check the email shared by this user.  One of reference to the threads from user is :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1651343.msg16590743#msg16590743

Now bit question is "Are gainbitcoin.com and gbminers.com and gbminer.com related to each other at all?"

Does anyone has any more information on relation between  gainbitcoin.com and gbminers.com and gbminer.com?
