2  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] Spondoolies-Tech SP30 4.5 Thps in GND hosting center - $590 OBO on: February 07, 2016, 12:34:47 PM
Spondoolies-Tech SP30 running at approximately 4500 GH/s at 2900 watts for sale. See here for actual hashing power stats from pool:

Price is US$590 or best offer.

This is currently hosted at Great North Data in Canada, which has some of the lowest rates in the industry and uses clean power. The current hosting contract costs US$180 per month, which can be transferred to you, or the machine can be shipped anywhere in the world (but you will have to pay for the shipping). Mining efficiency and thus hosting/power cost can probably be further improved by underclocking the machine.

The hosting is already paid for all of February.

Payment in bitcoin preferred, or paypal if you pay the fees (about 6%)

The machine is high quality, I've had no problems with it since purchase, very stable.
3  Bitcoin / Pools / Don't mine on Eligius on: January 16, 2016, 06:30:29 AM
Just a warning. I just asked a question in the eligius thread, and the owner of seems completely out of touch with the current happenings in bitcoin, namely the forking issues. He refuses to answer questions on whether he would follow the most popular chain in the event that a hardfork occurs, and banned me from his thread after I pressed him, because it's a very simple yet extremely important question to answer. Very worrisome behavior. I fear he is liable to mine on the original chain even if the majority switches, out of spite at what he adamantly calls "altcoins", jeopardizing his user's money. If you value your money I wouldn't mine there, especially if a hardfork begins to seem likely in the near future.

5  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitpay just lost me as a customer after two years on: March 06, 2015, 06:23:18 PM
So I am a bit sad but mostly disappointed and annoyed right now. A few days ago Bitpay changed their compliance scheme, they lowered my volume limits to something far too low for my store, and required a bunch of paperwork to bump it back up that I do not have. Mostly documentation regarding registered businesses, but I am not a registered business. It is legal for me to operate my store at this scale in my country, as it qualifies as a hobby rather than pure business, something the tax office have confirmed. But Bitpay denied my application even after me explaining this, so I am forced to change payment processor.

This is not what bitcoin is about. Bitcoin is supposed to enable people, not limit them even more than traditional payment systems. I have used Paypal for a long time and even though my volume there is higher than Bitpay's was, they never demanded such documentation. It's frankly complete bullshit.

6  Economy / Digital goods / Unity 4 Pro four months license on: November 11, 2014, 09:37:46 AM
Hi, I'm selling a Unity 3D 4 Pro activation code that lasts for 4 months, or 125 days to be exact.

Unity Pro is $1500, or $79 a month but with minimum 12 months purchase, so this code is worth over $300 plus the freedom that is not having a 12 month contract.

I'm selling it here for just $100 OBO.

I am a reputable seller, see the thread for my store here:
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Friday 2014 on: October 01, 2014, 04:05:51 PM
Bitcoin Black Friday last year and the year before that were huge successes. Will it happen this year too? If so, I think the organizers should make some announcements asap. November is fast approaching, and their website is still showing 2013's info:
8  Economy / Goods / FS: Onetesla musical tesla coil DRSSTC on: July 26, 2014, 09:11:08 AM

9  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Made a profit calculator based on regression on: June 11, 2014, 10:01:10 PM
I was tired of most if not all online mining profit calculators using crappy future difficulty prediction models like static percentage increases, so I made my own. It uses an exponential function made from regression of past statistics to predict the difficulty. I think it will be much more accurate than most other calculators. What do you think?

For now it is just a spreadsheet, link here:

Currently it is set to calculate a SP30 unit delivered in August. If you want to use it you can make a copy of the spreadsheet and edit the values.
10  Economy / Computer hardware / Selling KNC miner parts (controller board, ASIC boards) on: May 01, 2014, 12:09:35 PM
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Coindesk malware hijacked? on: April 11, 2014, 04:56:57 PM
I just tried to enter this link:  coindeskDOTus/cd/chicago-sun-times-gets-11-new-subscriptions-bitcoin/ , and immediately my antivirus displayed a warning saying that a trojan had been blocked. Not simply a suspicious file or anything, but a confirmed trojan by the looks of it. Coindesk might be hijacked and spreading malware, be careful.

Here are the details from my AV, which is Avast:

12  Economy / Computer hardware / Selling closed batch one KNC Neptune preorder on: March 30, 2014, 10:44:16 AM
After much consideration I think I'm going to request a refund on my closed batch one Neptune preorder. However, if anyone is interested in buying the preorder for more than I'll get if I refund, you can have my spot in the queue. KNC won't let me change the shipping address, so I'll have to wait for the miner to arrive and then promptly forward it to your address.

Unfortunately, because of import VAT, the price goes up quite a lot if I were to receive it, so to be able to beat the KNC refund, the starting bid is $13500, including express shipping worldwide. In other words, around the same as open batch 1 (and this order will ship earlier).

Bitcoin payment only, I can not afford the risk of chargebacks. Sale is final regardless of any eventual good or bad news from KNC. I can be trusted, I have run the webstore for two years now, with hundreds of customers.

In case you don't know, the Neptune is a 3000Ghps+ miner, scheduled to ship in Q2. Word on their forum is that the miner will likely be more than 3Thps, maybe even 4Thps. The chips were sent to tapeout in February.

14  Economy / Goods / WTS iPod Touch 32GB, starts at 0.99 BTC on: March 19, 2013, 10:29:16 PM
3-day auction.
15  Economy / Computer hardware / nvm on: January 14, 2013, 03:08:27 PM
If you want to cancel your ASIC preorder for some reason, I'll take it off your hard. I'll even throw in another $200 for the queue spot. Looking for BFL order number below 5000 or Avalon 1st batch. One $1299 miner, preferably with international shipping already paid so I don't have to pay more. We do escrow via bitmit or something like that.

EDIT: So apparently BFL aren't willing to change shipping addresses. Never mind then.
16  Economy / Digital goods / Selling Adobe Premiere Elements 10 on: November 25, 2012, 06:10:57 PM
I'm selling my Adobe Premiere Elements 10 license. This program costs around $70-100 depending on where you buy it, I'm selling it for 3 BTC or best offer.

If you want I can also send you the install DVD's, but I find it easier to just downloading it digitally and register using the license key.

I'll probably answer a bit faster if you use my email gitlem at rather than posting here.
17  Economy / Digital goods / Selling Dota 2 steam gifts, 0.2 BTC on: November 25, 2012, 06:04:52 PM
Selling Dota 2 Steam gifts, redeemable and resendable, you know how steam gifts work. I have 4 available. Selling for 0.2 each, that's like 90% off the retail price. I'll probably answer a bit faster if you email me at gitlem at rather than posting here.
18  Economy / Goods / WTS Dota 2 steam gifts: 0.5 BTC on: November 21, 2012, 03:15:10 PM
So as far as can tell I have four pieces of giftable Dota 2 games in my steam inventory. If anyone wants them, I'll sell them for 0.5 BTC each.

19  Local / Skandinavisk / Fysiske butikker i Norge? on: October 08, 2012, 02:42:00 PM
Noen som vet om det fysiske butikker i det hele tatt i Norge som aksepterer bitcoin? Spesielt i bergensområdet. Har sett noen i Finland og Danmark.
20  Economy / Service Announcements / BitBrew/BitLasers mutual promotion! on: August 30, 2012, 01:47:03 PM
I'm happy to announce that and are now running a cross promotion! When ordering from one, you'll get a 10% discount coupon for the other! Smiley

To celebrate, Bitlasers is renaming the bestseller 1300mW Blue laser to "The BitBrew", and for the next two orders, the laser will be shipped with a copper heatsink instead of aluminium providing better cooling and duty cycle for no extra charge. We're also adding a variety of new products, like a line of new, cheap(er) lasers and some fun accessories.

Bitbrew will be launching a new coffee blend, I've been told it's "A full bodied Italian roast with a smokey taste and mild acidity".  Bitbrew has been around for a long time, and I'm very glad to be able to collaborate with edd.  Cheesy
