1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electron Cash fails with "non-canonical DER signature" on: August 20, 2017, 10:54:32 PM
Sorry for cluttering the Electrum forum with an Electron Cash question, but I was hoping someone who had used it could chime in. Is there an official forum somewhere?

I wanted to split a little bit of BTC into BCH. The first attempt using Electron Cash was successful. The second was not, and resulted in a transaction the server did not accept ("non-canonical DER signature").

Has anyone encountered this problem and knows what the cause might be?

One difference is that the first transaction spent a p2pkh uxto and the second one spent a p2pk. Has anyone spent a pay-to-public-key uxto with Electron Cash and did it work?
2  Local / Skandinavisk / Bitcoin Fun Fair Stockholm 14-15 feb 2015 on: February 11, 2015, 09:37:32 PM

3  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Anybody using Bitcoiner for Android? on: August 22, 2014, 06:53:33 PM
Before there was "real" Bitcoin on Android, some people used RPC frontends. These would act like a real Bitcoin client in every way but would connect to a fixed full node using RPC. If you're running a full node anyways, you might just as well use this. Right?

Bitcoiner is the only software I can find that works like this on Play store. Has anybody used this? Good, bad? Legitimate?

What do you think are the pros/cons for running a client like this on your phone, except for the obvious (that you need a full node)?
4  Economy / Economics / What's the deal with Bitcoinity? on: July 18, 2014, 02:12:40 PM
I'm looking at Stamp on Bitcoinity, but it becomes increasingly clear that a large part of the order book just isn't visible. I can see orders on Stamp's page which I can't see there.

Has it always been this way, and I was just too sleepy to notice, or did something cause this recently?
5  Economy / Economics / Where to find historic trade data? on: June 18, 2014, 01:08:24 PM
I would like to study how the price of Bitcoins denominated in USD has developed for the past year. Is this information available somewhere?

I suppose the Bitstamp order books would be my preferred data. MtGox's books were cooked as least as early as last autumn.

If the complete order books were available that would be great. That way one could see when large walls were put in place or removed before they were filled.
