I was going through my old wallets and managed to find 5.000 PCL, is it still active? I can't seem to "sell" it on Blockchain.info.
|
|
|
|
Selling 5000PCL, worth 70$ on Blockchain, for 55$ in ETH or BCH. ALT: Since I'm not using that wallet anymore, and need money urgently for college expenses, I might as well sell it entirely so that's an option as well. Since I'm not sure if i can send PCL because transactions are paid in ETH and I have >1$ in ETH in that wallet. For anyone interested, please contant me via pm here.

So basically I'm down the pipes and not really seeing any happy time or ending whatsoever. I've applied for over 30 jobs and I'm on like the government thing for job seeking. Got only one reply back from all those job ads and that government thing found me absolutely nothing in the past 3 months and now I really don't know what to do. Because of my abundance of free time I've created a CV of a person who's 25, motivated, has 8yrs of experience, finished college with highest marks,etc,etc... and been sending that one as well. Got a few calls back and the only thing I've asked them is why do they thing that someone with this CV would be working on a cash register or on a assembly track.
I do have work experience, worked for a bailiff as an administrator and IT support, car wash/parts sales as online sales and marketing and IT partially (keeping the database and website up and running),etc.. Can't even continue with school (IT and programming) because I have no income and can't pay for the year.
On the bright side, I do have a business I want to start, everything's basically finished but I can't have any customers to pay because it's not registered as a company, but to do that I need money and to get money I need a job but apparently I can't get one or any for some reason. Also to get a start-up credit at a bank or a government fund for development I need to have a registered firm and then we go again in circle. So what should I do now?
Should I start selling *stuff*? open an OnlyFans as a guy selling feet pics? I do want a job and to work, but apparently I need to be a whole IT department or have 6 hands and be Khronos.
Literally any advice is appreciated, because I'm all out of ideas or will.

I've tried joining a few pools for mining doge (back in the day when it came out) and a few more coins, and was thinking now to get back into all of that, but is it worth doing it without any crazy gear or miners?
I'd be joining some pool, letting the miner run in the background at about 20-30% depending if I'm doing anything slightly demanding.

So I was looking at some memes and one image popped up (not the same website tho) and I let out a little chuckle. Are they getting really scared after the whole GME and Dogecoin thing? Child abuse images hidden in crypto-currency blockchainhttps://www.bbc.com/news/technology-47130268 Didn't want to post an image, not sure what are the rules about this here but wanted to share regardless.

! THIS POST IS NOT MADE TO SHIT ON THE CURRENT MERIT SYSTEM, IT'S JUST A DISCUSSION THREAD ! So i was going through that "This shitty Merit System has ruined Bitcointalk and made it like Facebook" thread and it actually made me think about this whole merit thing. Ok, so the whole point of the merit system is to stop spammers and shitposters from flooding the forum and bring forth the more sensible people, yeah? Well since most of the people either don't have merit or simply never think about it (I completely forget about the whole merit thing even when I come across a good post) and then you get dedicated people as merit sources and threads that ask for good posts to merit them, doesn't really sound like a master plan. Easy and reliable? Sure, but it's not intuitive tbf. There's nothing more that I hate than upvotes and downvotes, why? Well because the whole place becomes an echochamber (reddit) and no discussion can be had whatsoever. You disagree with someone popular or say something controversial you'll just get bombed with downvotes and that's it. Tho I think that the combination of those two can make something good, something that most people are used to already by now. Something like this: 1. You have " + " and " - " on every post. If you're in the " + " zone it shows the green number of upvotes next to it, if you're in the " - " zone you have a red number next to it. 2. Every upvote gives you a small amount in the background depending on that users rank. So if a user that's member upvotes you, you get like 0.01 merit or something, but if a hero member upvotes you, you get like 0.15merit or something like that. 3. Downvoting would be a little different. Since there are probably a lot of people that are higher ranks from before the merit system, it wouldn't be that great to give them that much power to shut someone down, so let's say that there would be a threshold where when you get enough of the downvotes you lose merit (maybe something like 0.5) but if you get downvoted by a legendary or some other higher rank, you'd lose merit when you get downvoted regardless of the amount of downvotes you have or do not have. So if someone posts something really useless or copy/pasta reply, he can get downvoted enough not to lose merit but to think about what's he posting next time. Like a small slap on the wrist. 4. That would essentially eliminate merit trading because they'd have to upvote every post of the person they want to send merit to and when someone's constantly upvoting someone even if the posts are useless, it might raise some red flags. 5. It's easier to look for answers if you need any, among the sea of basic replies, when there's a big green number sticking out to point it out to you. 6. Merit would still have it's purpose since you still couldn't rank up without enough merit and you'll still have to write sensible posts if you plan on ranking up maybe and those who are shitposting would either stop it or lose merit and rank if possible. CONCLUSION: IMO this would benefit more to the weeding out spammers and copy/pasters and reward good posts regardless of rank. Everyone loves when they're rewarded for doing something good, even if that's just a bunch of green plus signs and numbers, it's still confidence boosting and a pointer. As I've already said merit would still serve it's purpose, those on the top could still reward each other with merit like right now (it's a joke lol), of pointing out who's posts are good and who's advises or opinions are more than educated guesses or hearsay. I'm still seeing same old copy/paste posts everywhere, especially in economy and bitcoin general rooms, and something like that would gradually kick out spammers and reward good posts. This is just something that I thought about just because I love thinking about how we could improve on every day basic life things that we rarely ever think about, if it's possible, and thinking how I could solve something or make it better. Would you add something or maybe have a whole different idea? I'd love to hear thoughts on this and other "solutions" just for the sake of looking at a problem from different angles and getting a different approach on problems overall.

I've been working as a web designer and have my own website https://redirex.rs and I'd like to offer my services for re-designing and making websites for extremely affordable prices and getting any job done in no more than a week. REDIREX.rs My services include:
Re-designing webpages
Making new websites from scratch
Websites can also be done in wordpress
Optimized for all devices
SEO optimization
Implementation of form submissions without the need of PhP (if you're hosting on github for some reason, they don't allow PhP)
Various widgets
website maintenance
etc
My philosophy is to keep every webpage minimalistic considering the design. Nice contrasting colors with the similar shade will keep it easy on the eyes and every bit of information easy to read. I tend to separate pages into sections, each section clearly divided with the intention to maximize the output of information on one page. Why make separate pages for every other section when that's a complete waste of memory.
Below I will provide some of my past recent works for the local businesses. You can see it live here: https://redirex.rs/total-prot-primer_______________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________ You can see it live here: https://redirex.rs/DM-primer_______________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________ You can see it live here: https://redirex.rs/PC-djuricic_______________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________ You can see it live here: https://redirex.rs/Security-home-po(for some reason I cannot upload the image here but you can click on it and it'll open up a new window where it's fine) Those are some that I have done in the past couple of weeks.
You can always contact me with a pm here or via email: redirexrs@gmail.com I will be updating this post as I continue to work on websites, this will be somewhat of a portfolio for me.

So yeah, I have 42$ in BTC on my blockchain wallet and when I try to swap for BCH it says that I can only swap for 8$ in BCH. Ok, but the thing is they state that you'd be paying their fees and network fees.
Their fee is 5$, so that's 37$ and than network fees take out the 29$ our of all of that? The problem comes when I've tried the same thing a couple of days ago when the BTC trx fee was 6 sat/byte and the amount I could swap is still the same 8.71$..
Anyone knows what's going on?
EDIT:
My bad, apparently you just par for tx fees for both coins:
BTC Wallet -> ETH Wallet you're payin BTC Network Fee & ETH Network Fee BUT
BTC Wallet -> ETH Trading Wallet You're paying BTC Network Fee Only because you don't pay fees when using a trading wallet
So now I've tried swapping with:
BTC Wallet -> BCH Trading Wallet (So I should be paying only the BTC tx fee, right?)
and I STILL can only swap 8.71$... What the hell are they doing?
and the best thing is I'm getting 8$ even if the tx fee is 6sat/byte or ~98sat/byte as of right now...

Could html signature writing be implemented, are we stuck with this old form of styling it or is there any converted that could covert html to the code used on the forum?

I have about 35$ that I'd like to buy BCH with, but with the transaction fees, I can barely get 8$ out of those 35$. Anyone know a way to buy BCH on blockchain directly from your BTC balance? Also, Could I maybe set a low low fee and use transaction accelerator to push it through?

Since it says Minimum withdraw: 0.002btc but it doesn't stop me when I try to withdraw 0.00115btc.

I have been inactive for a few months and after returning, I just have one question. I have read all about this merit system, but how do you tell if the post is deserving merit? all of us have different views on a constructive post? Do those posts have to fulfill a certain points or is it absolutely to personal estimation?

I'm selling my bitcointalk account since I don't really have time to write since I'm mostly lurking logged out and studying for the final year of college, no reason or time to login at all. So I might as well sell this account. If anyone is interested feel free to pm me, I'll login in a few hours or maybe tomorrow to check the inbox.

As the title suggests, I'm curious about what are others' thoughts when it comes to eugenics. If you're not familiar with the term, simply put it's a belief (in some cases put to practice) that reproduction should be controlled, meaning the disabled, ill, weak, evil, etc. should not be allowed to reproduce and the people with "good genes" should be encouraged to reproduce.
Personally, I understand how people would mostly view this as bad (inhumane), but I see both sides of it. Maybe it's immoral, but it's highly practical, especially when we are facing an inevitable doom if we continue to grow our population at this speed. I see many other positive sides, but other than the one I stated, they are mainly my views and something that others are welcome to disagree on, so I will probably get into that later.
Only serious posts, please, so we can continue the debate in a professional manner.

I'm writing an essay about bitcoin and while reading on internet about transactions, this sentance came up "For the transaction to be valid, every input must be an unspent output of a previous transaction". Can someone explain what this means? Thanks.
