1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is this mystery deposit of AGES to my alt wallet (marked as spam)? on: April 19, 2019, 12:09:46 AM
Questions: Does anyone have experience with "smart assets" or hopefully even finding out how to cash out of this token I received? Has anyone had a mystery deposit before?

I saw an alt trading in the top 50 on the app that I use. Didn't know much about them and decided to try their wallet (which offers a some features I thought I'd use). A deposit marked "AGES" dropped out of nowhere into my wallet a few days ago and then it was marked as spam.

I searched for the AGES name. Wallets, exchanges, etc. Couldn't (and still haven't) found a thing. Not an airdrop. Nothing. So I asked customer service for my wallet, and they said:

"You will not use the token for fraudulent purposes. You will not set a script on a smart asset that limits exchange transactions on Waves DEX by asset quantity."

I felt like they thought I was trying to scam them or something. Well, I didn't create the (*#&% thing, so there's that.

Anyway, here's the transaction (as proof I'm not trying to mislead anyone):

This is the transaction on the explorer: https://wavesexplorer.com/tx/5Z8Rz1nKuVAQuMLCruFYeuQzCLCgoWrQ9Bd45h6HoRAt

They even have a nice little motto that I tried to search for with no relevant results. I haven't seen it mentioned in the threads here either.

Any help would be appreciated.
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Seller "bitcoininc" on Cryptothrift on: December 18, 2013, 12:41:54 AM
Paid 1.2 BTC (when prices were a little higher) for a 30 ghash BFL.

Seller disappeared. No contact. Repeated inquiries are not answered.

The seller has other items for sale. Beware.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DevCoin added to mcxNOW.com on: May 15, 2013, 03:48:42 PM
DVC has been added to MCX. Now their exchange includes BTC, LTC, MNC, SC and DVC.

Support a dev by supporting DVC.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Solo mining SolidCoin - Tutorial on: May 09, 2013, 12:57:09 AM
Since I was working on another project, I made this to help anyone figure out a basic solo mining setup. Instead of having to search everywhere for the settings and how-to's, I tried to roll it all together.

Well, I mined over 10 blocks today. Sure, it only pays out .05 SC, but hey, there's hardly any competition. So I mined in peaceful contemplation while I power mined a neglected coin.  Grin

Any constructive comments about the flow or things I overlooked would be appreciated.
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Setting up Authentication at Cryptonit with Google Auth on: April 30, 2013, 03:49:03 PM
NOTE: Make sure you have good cell reception and the Google Authentication app ready to go! If you don't have good cell reception, download the desktop version of JAuth at https://github.com/mclamp/JAuth/tree/master/Installers (should be one for all OSs).

1. Go to the GA tab on your account page. Have your Google Auth app open on your phone.

2. Click Get Started.

3. Enter a new code from your phone app in the first line. I chose "counter" code. Submit.

4. On this next page, you should see a barcode. Using your Google Auth app, click on the "+" sign, then click "scan barcode". It should automatically create a new code on your Google Auth app with your Cryptonit username just below the new 6-digit code. But make sure you have the barcode scanned with your app and your phone shows "Cryptonit" under the 6-digit number. If not, just start over. You can get it wrong five times before being locked out for an hour. Get it right once and your good!

5. Check the box on Cryptonit and submit.

If it helped, tips are greatly appreciated at LTC LYpmskJiNUatXuugjpHZEfASM4RqU1cT5Z, but not required. Smiley

Today I saw: http://netlookup.se/free-bitcoins/328228

So I entered my name and voila, I got a referral code. If someone enters for free bitcoins, I get 20% if they receive a payout.

Then I thought, are there digital products that we, as a community, could produce that would let us use the leverage of multi-level marketing? Does anyone know if there is something in place like that?

Ideas:

1. Book swap site. Either physical or digital copies. Example: I would be happy to send out physical books in return for coin.
2. File conversion. Many of us can convert the (*%R@$ out of just about any file. Why not do it for a little coin.
3. BitList. Craigslist for e-coins. I have tons of stuff I could put up for local coiners (BTC, LTC, etc.).

Oh, and feel free to do that referral deal up there. The more people we have in a chain, the more payout for the first in. They only do a payout once a week now, according to their site. I found that site on http://techathena.com/internet/get-bitcoin-20-ways-free-bitcoin/

If you know of other offers like this, send me a PM or reply to this thread. I will sign up without hesitation!
