Thought this would be a good story for the weekend ! So back when I first started collecting physical crypto coins one that I was very interested in was a Silver Mona coin. MONA was appealing as it was considered Japans coin and Japan was the only country at the time that was open arms for crypto. I met a couple of gals on Twitter who lived in Tokyo that were also crypto enthusiast. They only spoke Japanese so we had been using google translator to chat lol. One night they told me they were going to a bar in downtown Tokyo and buy drinks with Mona did I want to come virtually. Well hell yeh ! Mona was also having an event that weekend. Well it was fun and I got to see part of downtown Tokyo and the inside of a Japanese bar.. They are much more civilized than an American bar I noticed haha.. I sat at the bar with them virtually while they made their transactions and we all thought it was pretty cool. As it was nearing time for them to leave its a tradition there for the customer to be served a going away cup of coffee. Everyone gets their own poor over coffee contraption and that's their final drink. It was cooool to me and I bought one pictured below and still use it today. That was a fun night I felt like I took a trip to the other side of the world. They introduced me to a guy (2CH) a few days later that was making the coins. I bought three of the silvers and several other types he had on his japan site. Silvers were very limited. He and I also had to translate everything and surprisingly it all went smooth. Hope ya liked the story !

Just as people moved from gasoline powered cars to electric will investors also move from bitcoin to ecofriendly alts?

I like Nano with its low market cap and carbon footprint.

I was just wondering if anyone remembers around 2013 the name of the website that had the first ten or so cryptocurrencies on it. It was a faucet account meaning you opened an account and they dripped different currencies in at different times and rates. There was NXT XRP DOGE and XPM to name a few. It may of also been associated with your visitations to certain websites. Seems it was called something like "World Wide crypto"

Hi are their any other services grading crypto collectables besides ANACS and ICG ? ANACS is considered one of the top three along with NGC and PCGS although those two do not grade cryptos last I heard. Then you have the "oversized" Items such as the early Paper Safe wallets which I am thinking of getting graded along with some other collectables. The last coins I had graded (NGC) took 3 months ! What's been your experience turn around time and price ?

The overall crypto market has been in a downtrend for three months. I noticed the collectibles held pretty strong for most of it but starting to show some weakness now. The influx of new exchange account holders ( the main stream) is over, Its obviously slowed and lost investors recently.
There will always be a market for collectibles however but just like others ( BB cards, comics, figurines etc) they will rise and fall with demand. Loaded BTC collectibles are tied to a unique asset price as well which also has a great deal of effect on total value up or down.
BTC needs a reason to start trending up again or we may see $5k again. I think this just wont happen until another large economic power like Japan fully adopts its use. Anyone have opinions on where 2018 ends with BTC and collectibles considering the last few months?

IMO BTC is going to continue to trend down and settle around a range of $4,500 to $5,500 at a new psych level. Reasons are slow adoption world wide from other countries than Japan and growing competition from alts.

Many new faces have been showing up in the top 100 crypto's lately but where will they be in a month ?

Since the addition of Bitflyer and the crypto pair MONA/JPY being adding to another exchange recently MONA has had a 10 x increase in price @ $5 a coin and moved up to #5 in overall $$ volume. want to speculate on the effect of an economy as large as Japan's having a opens arms approach to a crypto specifically MONA ?

Howdy , has anyone run across a physical Monacoin ? I think they would be great stocking stuffers with that cat on the 2014 coin. Japan has horded them all I think lol
thanks for any info !

Stellar STR $ 0.0475636 +9.08 % is currently my favorite with a market cap of $44 mil and its multi layered applications that connects banks, payments systems, and people.
Would like to see it on other exchanges besides Poloniex

Hate to do it but need a little more tax money, maybe by summer I can collect a few more back and I sure would rather sell to you guys that really appreciate these coins. seems there was a lot of interest and some people are specifically looking for one of these. This will be an auction that will end Sunday at 8PM eastern Please bid BTC only welcome to bid any initial price but increments of .1 after I have a fair reserve price in mind, once that is reached I will post reserve met. If not met I may keep it Escrow with MJ if needed I dont mind paying US shipping. Shipping outside US was way higher than I thought, I would split cost on this if needed. Have a great weekend !
