4  Economy / Scam Accusations / rouf553 scammed me for .55 btc :| on: July 03, 2013, 01:43:42 AM
I tried selling BTC for MP today for my first site-based trade.

I found this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=247634.0 in which it seemed like people had successfully traded with this dude today. (I think, but am not sure, that the 'successful trades' were just dummy accounts to make it look like he had actually traded.) I messaged the guy, he responded right away, so I sent BTC:

After which he sent a message:

Something is wrong on my wallet. Please wait.

And poof gone like that. About an hour or so later, the address shipped off the coins.

8  Economy / Currency exchange / I get paid via Amazon Payments and want to send you money for bitcoins! on: April 23, 2013, 12:36:27 AM
Hey everybody! Nice to be a part of the forum. Here's the deal:

I work online and get paid via Amazon Payments. Normally I simply cash out to my bank account and buy BTC with coinbase. However, they cancelled my last order (eventually overturned) and I'd rather not deal with them as they are slow and unreliable. I am looking to make a lot of smallish ($20-$50) purchases of BTC from a reputable seller on a semi-regular basis. If you are looking for a quick way to turn your BTC into dollars, hit me up! (Amazon Payments typically show up the next day for withdrawals made before 6 or 7 pm EDT)

Thanks!
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Why am I still locked into the newbie area? on: April 23, 2013, 12:28:34 AM
I read the newbie sticky and it states I need 5 posts and 4 hours on the forum to gain my freedom. Yet here I am, still shackled with the constraints of newbieism Smiley Does it just take time for them to go through and manually add new people? Thanks for the help.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Do people use Greendot Money Packs here? on: April 05, 2013, 11:43:04 PM
Hey guys! I play poker with bitcoins and am looking to cash out some using Greendot Money Packs.  These are like re-loadable codes for pre-paid cards.  Does anybody on the forum use these, and if so how well do they work?

Also first post :p Awesome to see so many bit-enthusiasts!
