For the dimwitted trolls reading this, VCC = Virtual Credit Cards
182  Economy / Goods / Anybody interested in an Ovation Guitar ? on: April 30, 2014, 12:35:34 AM
3 Guitars actually, the cheapest one is a Brown/black Hertz ovation celebrity lookalike. The original ones are 1 platinum white Idea and another one is a TX Elite series (black).

These range from 6 years to 3 months old and selling cuz I wanna get some of those limited edition ones.

All of these are stock models with no body/amp work done.

184  Local / India / TIMES OF INDIA on: December 27, 2013, 06:25:49 AM
Most of us know that the first few articles related to Bitcoins in India were released on the TOI web portals.

So why dont we rope in their competitors who are respected through out asia like the Asian age or something & get a more positive word out there.

Cuz what mostly TOI authors say about Bitcoin is far from the truth.

186  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Best scripting language suited to develop a functional exchange ? on: December 13, 2013, 12:13:01 PM
Ok So first of all many might remember me from the Exotic Car thread so Hi there yes I m still here.

So Ive finally received a green signal from my sponsor to go ahead and develop the beta public version of KROGYAN

and since I m from India which is where this site would be hosted & operated from, there are a few limitations when it comes to direct exchange of Bitcoins with Cash.

So I was thinking if I could create the site where people could first buy CREDITS with Indian money which is equivalent to the current USD/INR rate at the time of purchase. Then they could use those credits to buy BTC/LTC at the market rates from within the exchange.

Kind of like how Virwox works. But when I look at it virwox or btc-e, they are very uncomplicated (code wise) when compared to Gox or coinbase or blockchain.

Anyways the unique thing about this exchange would be the introduction of traditional Margin trading using Short/Long trades by borrowing funds from the market/lenders & hence a separate desktop platform.

So what do you guys think ?? what should be the first step taken towards creating this website and which scripting language would be best suited for this task which would allow easy integration between a desktop client and the website.

I enjoy trolls and troll along with them but try to keep this as less spammed as possible Smiley Thanks
187  Local / India / KROGYAN : Bitcoin's pitch to a Bollywood movie director. on: December 09, 2013, 01:52:34 PM
Ok, Some of you who have chatted with me on skype or on phone; know that I am into multimedia and animation, hence recently I was involved in a small project with a movie director based in Mumbai.

To be honest, his projects until now are not that popular in the mainstream but he is all set to sign some prominent mainstream senior actors like Big-B, for his next project.
So I told him about Bitcoins and he was interested and asked me to explain to him everything about Bitcoins in a nutshell and how it can help his projects and the industry.

So I know this is a LONG SHOT, but just imagine if only ONE movie got made with Bitcoins the rise in popularity of it in India will be mind boggling. Especially with THAT name associated with it.

So, please post some replies as to what key points should I include in my proposal to him & how Bitcoins in India can be the next big thing. Be fair and include the cons as well.
If you feel like and have the time for, then go ahead and write up the whole pitch, it would help me tremendously.

190  Economy / Economics / FINE/SUE Gox & btc-e like EU fined Banks $2.3 Billion For Market Riggs on: December 04, 2013, 05:12:53 PM
EU Fines Banks $2.3 Billion For Market Rigging, so why cant we ?
We know they have a Bank account in Japan right ? Cant we pull the creds from there ?

I mean if only they were MADE TO PAY for the hack attempts & DDOS attempts they might consider becoming foolproof. Nothing better than a little monetary loss motivation dont you think ?

Offcourse thats my idea, I m sure most of you noble hearts would have you own say, so go ahead.

What happened::
Saw xchanga.com offering low rates, while accepting NEFT, when the profile said he was from Ukraine.
Went ahead to do a transaction, but REFUSED to escrow.

Thanks so much.
Please we cannot open our service as a company and register it for business and then use escrow.
it means we do not have confidence in what we do.
escrow is for individuals that has no basis or home online and offline.
If we use escrow then we should cancel out our website and send our customers away if we cant handle things ourselves.

So i know your fears but unfortunately we cannot help you out that's why we offered you can go elsewhere to trade as we cant run away and has not ran away with any customers money no matter the amount it is.

Thanks again.

Regards,
The Xchanga Inc Team

194  Local / India / KROGYAN : Investors Meet Kolkata [Dates TBA] on: November 30, 2013, 03:05:45 PM
This topic would be dedicated to a private casual investor's meet at a date and venue that will be updated soon.

I have been in conversation with some influential and ground breaking tech partners, and I will dedicate this topic board to the announcement of the first "Investor's meet", in order to invite investors who would be willing to walk down the same paths that I envision for Bitcoins in India.

I will personally PM the e-invites.

Most of us know that kolkata is not the front runner when it comes to tech, but I'm hoping Bitcoins can change that.

But all the mumbo jumbo details will chip in slowly.

If I could gauge the interest of other members regarding this meet then that would be awesome. So feel free to fire up the reply buttons.

And yes, I'll arrange for the Rosogollas Grin

199  Local / India / Okpay vs Mtgox BANK WITHDRAWALS in India on: November 15, 2013, 10:07:23 AM
So the question is simple.
Between Mtgox.com and Okapay.com which of these two sites process BANK WITHDRAWALS in India the fastest ?

If you're talking from personal experience then which bank did you use ? How long did the process take ? which state were you from ? Was it a Savings account ? or an individual / firm Current account ??

Thanks for the help.
