1  Economy / Digital goods / Selling the domain, make an offer on: November 10, 2013, 11:22:25 PM
Up for sale is "", a domain previously used for a bitcoin shipping service. Similar domain's utilizing the "verb-it" or "verb-bit" format arent available in .coms anymore, i managed to catch the last one. This has some sentimental value so make it worth my while otherwise ill just as well sit on it.
2  Economy / Auctions / Selling on: October 22, 2013, 02:05:33 PM
Description: The domain name ""
Starting bid: 1btc
End date and time: October 31st Midnight

Additional information: This was previously a business that sold shipping labels but the nature of bitcoin caused it to get shut down. If you would like to repurpose this it is a great easy to remember domain name.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Zealots and Criminals, Is no one using bitcoin for legitimate purchases? on: June 26, 2013, 05:28:01 AM
It was Paypal President David Marcus that said "The big question is whether [Bitcoin] is going to go mainstream or stay limited to just a few zealots and criminals." I started my bitcoin business,, with the intention of finding out for myself. Its been two months since i have started and have seen very little interest for this bitcoin version of USPS click'n'ship. No its not instant like clicknship, nor can i reasonably compete with my supplier on price, but then again i am trying to provide something that may prove inaccessible to anyone without a paypal account or credit card, and do it in a way thats much more convenient that how USPS does.

But you'd think after two months i'd get the hint, no one cares! Yet i realized it was not only me when i stumbled upon who so generously posts their sales figures in order to urge buyers to take the initiative and support bitcoin by allowing them to remain competitive. For these last two months ive seen these figures climb at a snails pace, in line with my own business. So maybe by business was just a bad idea, but what about bitcoinstores? Their prices are CHEAPER than its competitors newegg and BHPhoto! And they have all the same features as their competitors. Its only shortfall is that its selection is not as vast, but for a new businesses its selection is quite generous. So why then is bitcoinstore not beating them?

  • Price fluxations put all the risk on buyers.
  • No one wants to take any risk when they have cheap, easy, safe, fiat.

And how do we create that price stability?

  • E-commerce.

Alright so maybe bitcoin is just so small of an economy that it would not be reasonable to expect any business to thrive solely on it. How big of an economy is bitcoin exactly, in terms of USD? Looking at's USD transaction volume chart we can see the daily transaction volumes this past month reach a low of 1 Million per day to a high of 12.5 Million. That is Per Day. How much of that do you think is going towards legitimate bitcoin business?

5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Offering first $10k in profit to implement api & cart on: June 21, 2013, 12:41:16 AM

I operate From a cursory view of the site it can be seen that i am not a web developer, as such i have not been able to implement the api into the site to allow for instant label generation, which the delay in processing has for the most part kept customers away (understandably). What i am looking for is someone who can implement the api into the site along with a shopping cart which would parse an xml that the user would submit to the site to generate the labels. While this has prevented my initial intention of raising the money through manual processing of orders and funding this development directly, what i can offer to anyone who believes in the profit potential of my business is the first $10k in profit, which can be openly audited through the bitpay account page. If anyone is interested in taking on this project or discussing the particulars of it email me at

6  Other / Beginners & Help / PSA: Support Bitcoin By Supporting Bitcoin Businesses on: June 14, 2013, 02:11:19 AM

Bitcoin businesses serve as the sole legitimatizer and price-regulator for this fledgeling e-currency. By using your bitcoins for legitimate purchases you ensure that governments will look favorably on it, and that the market remains liquid allowing for greater stability in prices and access to others. Before you make your next electronics or postage purchase consider who you wish to support and how they can support you. A coin spent today on yourself can provide for everyone far into the future.

7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Whats the point of 'dust' payments? Does anyone really need to send microcents? on: June 14, 2013, 01:53:45 AM
This is part of the reason the max blocksize was to be updated to deal with these payments clogging the system, why would anyone send fractions of a cent?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How can a system like Ripple comply with the cost of regulations? on: June 14, 2013, 01:41:19 AM
Ripple sells itself as a decentralized exchange, but at some point it must interface with the banking system and it is then that FINCEN will regulate it out of existence. Unless Opencoin is proffering itself as the sole MSB in this, would not any broker of coin suddenly fall into hot water?
9  Bitcoin / Legal / Decentralized Exchanges Are Illegal. on: June 08, 2013, 09:44:59 PM
According to FINCEN.

I figured people would connect the dots. FINCEN requires anyone operating as a business who exchanges one currency for another to register as a Money Services Business, whose compliance costs millions of dollars. Naturally this would only allow a few key players to operate as such, therefore decentralized exchanges are not legally possible, and because the regulation is applied to anyone using the entry/exit points that are the banks it is not technically possible either to operate outside the bounds of regulation.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Whats the differennce between a patriot and a terrorist? on: June 07, 2013, 08:49:00 PM
One is brown.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Im writing a blog on my experiences running a bitcoin business on: June 02, 2013, 07:10:04 AM

See that link there? That goes to my posts, just thought id share it with you all if anyone gives a damn. I dont really care if you read it or what you think about it, but i am posting my experiences trying to run a bitcoin based business and hopefully it will either encourage or discourage future entrepreneurs depending on if any of you have any money left over from your gambling to use it for something legitimate. Otherwise i highly advise you use cash as its really easy and safe to use and is accepted virtually everywhere.

EDIT: It appears all of my posts had been vandalized (ie deleted) after i reamed out a troll who was repeatedly spamming my posts, who turns out was a mod. Surprisingly enough my response to him is still there, just not anything else. Ill be starting my blog elsewhere, preferably not on a site run by teenagers.
12  Bitcoin / Legal / Is it possible to have a decentralized exchange with FINCEN in effect? on: June 01, 2013, 10:05:36 PM
With the issues that have arisen recently with the self imposed shutdown of many bitcoin exchangers in response to FINCEN regulations and the insanely high costs of adhering to state regulations, is the centralization of exchanges the only viable option?
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / If you couldnt buy or sell BTC, what would you do with them? on: May 27, 2013, 01:05:14 AM

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Oh hi on: May 21, 2013, 05:10:17 AM

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Hey ScamCoiners! Anyone manage to make a stable currency yet? on: May 19, 2013, 07:08:21 AM
Im seeing a new scamcoin popup every 5 mins or so, anyone actually managed to create one that responds to demand?
16  Economy / Speculation / I speculate the price of bitcoin will go up, then down, then up, then down. on: May 19, 2013, 06:56:53 AM
I speculate the price of bitcoin will never stabilize, and will never become a useful currency as a result. I speculate that others will speculate on my speculation, and will match and raise their speculation on my speculation by speculating that there is no such thing a speculating the course of a crashing train or the price of an infinitely divisible currency. I will raise any further speculation by one micro gold spec, divide said electrons of gold spec into a satoshi spec, which will be mass adopted by the global economy by 2014.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin will be made illegal under gambling law on: May 19, 2013, 06:46:17 AM
Ha, no, really, this currency is a joke, who the hell is going to buy anything legitimate with it when the value of it follows the path of a himalayan mountainside. Someone please make a stable cryptocurrency and replace this pathetic attempt at multilevel marketing.
18  Economy / Marketplace / [SHUT DOWN] - a bitcoin-based provider of USPS shipping labels on: May 01, 2013, 08:02:17 PM

I am saddened to announce that my account has been shut down by my service provider at the behest of law enforcement. Unfortunately given the anonymous nature of this currency it is all but impossible to prevent criminals from tainting all that it touches. I would like to thank all my courageous customers who sought to make bitcoin a legitimate enterprise and wish them well in their endeavors.

19  Economy / Service Discussion / Now that bitfloor is gone, we have no more american exchanges? on: April 26, 2013, 02:53:12 AM
Mt-Gox = Japanese
BTC-e = Russian
Bitstamp = UK

I guess my question more is, now that bitfloor is gone, can there be any american exchanges?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Speculation aside, is there any reason for anyone to adopt an alt-coin? on: April 26, 2013, 02:23:16 AM
Considering the overhead of exchanges, wallets, passwords, clients, miners, payment processors etc.. that must accompany a cryptocurrency, is there any real advantage to current alt-coins that warrants the cost of its adoption?
