Introduction

Lysergion is an experimental cryptocurrency centered around the psychedelic community with the goal of spreading awareness on psychedelic substances, promoting harm reduction, and supporting scientific and medical research in the field of psychedelics. Lysergion uses a hybrid of PoW (Proof of work) and PoS (Proof of stake) compared to Bitcoin’s full PoW to maintain a balanced network where users may generate new coins through hardware mining or simply staking (holding) existing coins. Lysergion’s PoW algorithm is BLAKE2s, which is ASIC (custom mining processors) resistant, meaning everyone has the opportunity to generate new coins through regular CPU and GPU mining.

About the Campaign

The signature campaign will reward users for reaching set post counts using the provided signatures and/or the provided avatar. We are looking for an unlimited # of participants until August 19th. Rewards will be confirmed every weekend leading to our release, meaning if you wish to only participate for part of the duration you may do so as long as you make sure your rewards are confirmed before switching your signature and/or avatar.

Payments

All payments will be sent out shortly after the end of the signature campaign and accompanying airdrop. The signature campaign is part of the airdrop and works using a system of weight you should understand. A total of 534,231LYS will be given out including for the signature campaign. Each participant of the airdrop receives an initial 0.5X weight for a Bitcointalk account registered after June and an additional 0.5X weight if they own a community account on Reddit, Shroomery, Drugs-Forum, or Bluelight with 150 or more posts or karma. Additional weight is added for the signature campaign and promotions such as sharing Lysergion on social media and joining the official Discord channel. At the end of the airdrop 534,231LYS (amount allocated to the airdrop) is then divided by the total weight of all participants to find the reward for 1X - one unit - of weight. This amount of reward is then multiplied by your individual weight to determine your reward in the airdrop.

Your airdrop reward including the signature campaign will be sent out in the form of a private key unless otherwise indicated on the airdrop registration form. Rewards from the signature campaign increase with profile rank on registration and post count since registration. How to join

(1) AFTER setting your Bitcointalk signature and/or avatar you must submit your airdrop application indicating you wish to register for the airdrop. You will be asked to supply a direct URL to your Bitcointalk profile, your post count at the time of airdrop registration, and your current rank. The airdrop application is found here -

Important rules

(1) Negative trusted members are not allowed.
(2) A minimum of 30 posts is required by August 19th to receive your signature campaign reward.
(3) Posts such as "hi", "thanks", "bye", etc. will not be paid.
(4) If a user gets banned from the forum, receives a negative trust, or is found spamming, then they will be kicked off from the airdrop.
(5) Multiple accounts or accounts registered later than July 30th are not allowed to join!

Lysergion is centered around the psychedelic community, including those who share an interest in those kinds of drugs or even a general passion for medicine, biology, psychology, and so forth. Anybody with positive intent is welcomed onto our rapidly growing team. In addition to being a decentralized digital currency, Lysergion aims to support scientific research on psychedelics in medical and therapeutic settings through raising awareness and understanding of such substances and their potential. For example, though most people have heard of MDMA (ecstasy), the vast majority of individuals are quick to generalize the substance as a “dangerous” with no beneficial use through a close-minded and often uninformed perspective of said drugs. Unfortunately, such commonplace preconceived views place barriers to obstruct progress not only in the scientific community but on humankind as a whole. One might find it surprising that MDMA shows incredibly promising results in treating PTSD and other trauma related disorders. To conclude, Lysergion advocates for principles that the psychedelic community holds to be important in proper drug education: harm reduction, the responsible use of substances, factual data to demonstrate the different effects of psychedelics, and the risks and benefits of such substances. A global widespread understanding of drugs in our society will benefit the safety and well-being of our population while dismantling the aforementioned barriers.

Drug testing kit giveaway
Our airdrop registration provides the chance to request a free Ehlrich reagent drug testing kit which can be used to identify LSD, psilocybin, and other indoles, helping rule out the NBOMe series, a dangerous line of drugs with little history of use and recorded fatalities at standard doses (often sold as fake LSD!). Only a limited supply is available - delivery is not yet confirmed.

We're still working on our official whitepaper and will have that out by release. Bounties will be listed soon. Our launch is scheduled in mid-August, though the airdrop registration and signature campaign are already in action! A more specific roadmap will be listed in the near future as we progress through our development stage.
