1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Would you login to a gambling site with Twitter, Google or Facebook Id? on: February 05, 2017, 06:17:22 PM
Most sites, at least dice sites, provide either a login url (Just-Dice, SatoshiDice) or ask for a user name and password (BitDice, PrimeDice).

One of the benefits of Bitcoin gambling is betting anonymously.

There has been a couple of sites however that allowed you to login with your social media profiles, though they seem to be dead now Smiley

Do you think sites should offer the option of login via social media profile as well as the normal username/password?
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / App - Crypto Price - View btc and alt price in £, $, eur and btc on one screen! on: January 11, 2017, 12:22:57 AM
Hi

Just published a very simple phone app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deannolan.cryptoprice

It lets you view the Bitcoin price and top alt-coin prices in pounds, dollars, euros and bitcoin all at same time.

I haven't done phone dev in years so I made the simplest thing I could think of that might be useful to people while I'm learning the tools.
Took a day to write and publish.

So posting just in case anyone wants to use it. Feel free to report bugs or small feature requests.
Can't promise to spend much time on it though as it was just a demo and doesn't have ads Smiley

(my new account doesn't allow embed images yet Smiley )

It gets the top coins and their $/BTC price data from https://coinmarketcap.com/ and converts the price to pound and euro.
There's no mention of API limit or usage rights on their site so I assume it's OK to use. Let me know if not and I'll get data from elsewhere.
