1  Economy / Micro Earnings / Is CoinPot not working anymore? on: April 23, 2018, 09:51:36 AM
For the last 2 or 3 days after logging in, this is all I see:

I've tried logging in on Edge, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, and even IE, but they all show the same wheel of death... I've cleared all browsers' caches, and still nothing.

If you've had the same or similar issue, or know what could be going on, please post on here... I'm hoping it's temporary, as CoinPot normally generates around 300K satoshis a week for me on it's own.
2  Economy / Micro Earnings / ANN: FreeBtc.website domain name change on: March 27, 2018, 08:21:35 AM
Hi everyone.

First of all, I would like to thank you for your continued usage of my Bitcoin faucet rotator. I've observed a steady increase in user registrations, and have received great feedback on the site revamp.

Due to circumstances beyond my control (due to inactive support on certain social media websites and domain name providers), I will be changing the current domain name and primary email address. I have recently acquired the domain thebitcoinrotator.com, and plan to switch from the current domain (freebtc.website) to our new domain on Tuesday 3rd of April 2018.

With this domain name change, I will also be changing our email address from the same date - we plan for our main email address to be admin[at]thebitcoinrotator[d0t]com. I will forward emails sent to the current address (admin[at]freebtc[d0t]website) to the new address for at least three months (I will provide an update just before we stop forwarding emails).

I have also thought that a short domain would also be handy, especially if you are browsing from a mobile device and don't like using lots of keystrokes. I have also acquired the domain tbfr.xyz for this purpose, and will be forwarding all requests from this domain to our new 'longer' domain mentioned earlier. I am considering setting up an email with this short domain as well, but will make a firm decision closer to the domain name changeover.

To remain consistent with our changes, I will also be changing our brand name from FreeBTC Bitcoin Faucet Rotator to TheBitcoinRotator. With the brand name changes, I will also update the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions pages for consistency. I will also be changing names for our social media accounts where possible, and will advise on these changes soon as they are made - you can find links to current social media profiles in the main navigation and footer.

Please note: If you have registered an account already, or plan to register before the changeover date, your account credentials will still remain the same and logging in should work as normal. After the changeover date, you will need to visit our new domain to login or register a new account. I plan to forward requests to the new domain for at least three months, and will advise when these redirections will stop. If you cannot login to your account after the changeover date, or you cannot perform any other task/s as normal, please contact me immediately.

3  Economy / Micro Earnings / [ANN] Beta release of my NEW bitcoin faucet rotator is finally here! on: December 09, 2017, 12:11:25 AM
Hey everyone,

After a few months of coding, security testing, refactoring, more coding, I have finally made a beta release of the newest version of my bitcoin faucet rotator! You can see and use this release by visiting http://beta.freebtc.website. Unlike the previous version, you can register your own account and set your own referral codes for each available faucet.

Rather than duplicate information, you can view more info about this release by visiting https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2096506.new.

I have also pushed code from my private repository to my public GitHub repository at https://github.com/rattfieldnz/bitcoin-faucet-rotator-v2. As this is still in beta, there might be some bugs yet to be discovered. Also, the installation instructions are primarily for Linux-based VPS servers - configuration for shared hosting is more difficult, because each shared hosting provider differs in set-up.

Feel free to have a look and test it out, and pass on your feedback to me Smiley.
4  Economy / Micro Earnings / [UNOFFICIAL] MoonBitco.in mining bonus - anyone else seen it yet? Info here... on: September 20, 2017, 09:23:33 AM
Hey everyone,

I've just noticed that Moon Bitcoin is offering a 'mining bonus' now... Details about the bonus can be seen on their site, but I'll copy/paste it below.

You should see the mining bonus checkbox and blue text in the image below:

Clicking on the 'what is this?' link will show the following:

For those who need a screenreader to read out text to them, the same info as in the above image is below:

Quote
When you tick the Run mining bonus checkbox we will run a background POW mining process in your browser.

Later when you make a faucet claim we will calculate an extra bonus of up to 100% on your faucet claim!

The bonus amount is based on how much hashing power you have contributed while the mining process was running - so to maximize your bonus you must leave the Moon Bitcoin tab open in between claims.

PLEASE NOTE: This mining process will increase the CPU usage on your PC/device whilst it is running by up to 30%.

The mining bonus is completely optional so if it causes a problem for you then please turn it off by unticking the Run mining bonus checkbox.

Enjoy your extra bonus bits Smiley.
5  Economy / Micro Earnings / MoonBit.co.in offerwall - Adscend Media on: August 31, 2017, 10:45:41 AM
Hi everyone,

I remember getting boatloads of Satoshis when MoonBitcoin had Adscend Media offers on their offerwall... It's been many months since they last had any of those offers at all, but still show the tab on the offerwall. If MoonBitcoin sees this thread, please start putting Adscend Media offers on your wall again - the other offers NEVER pay out for me.
6  Economy / Micro Earnings / [ANN] Freebtc.website Bitcoin Faucet Rotator V2 script progress on: August 17, 2017, 07:51:41 AM
Hey everyone! I am happy to announce a brand new V2 version of the faucet rotator (http://freebtc.website) is about a month away from a Beta/Preview release Smiley. This version comes with many extra features - namely:

  • Users being able to register their own account.
  • Users adding faucets with their own referral codes.
  • Users being able to share their own rotators, faucet lists, profile, faucets organised by payment processors.
  • Users being able to see Google Analytics stats of their faucets, without having to register their own G.A account.
  • Login and registering protected by ReCaptcha (and a special program which changes captcha scripts at random, on each page load - e.g. SolveMedia, ReCaptcha, and others)
  • Admin being able to add, edit, suspend, and permanently delete users.
  • Admin being able to add, edit, suspend, or permanently delete main faucets/payment processors.
  • Users being able to add/edit/suspend/permanently delete their faucets.
  • Admin being able to see a broader range of Google Analytics stats.
  • Admin being able to automate sharing of faucets on Twitter (and thus syncing from there to other networks via IFTTT).
  • A clean layout with minimal ads (I hate websites that overdo their 'advertising' like spam).
  • Admin being able to create privacy policy, terms and conditions, and enable cookie consent (which is required in some countries).

[EDIT] December 8th 2017: GOOD NEWS! I am in the final stages of a beta release Smiley. At this time, I am preparing installation instructions (for VPS/dedicated hosting at this stage). After this is done, and deployment to a production server is successful, I will be releasing a public GitHub repository with the project. Another edit to this thread will be made when this happens Smiley.

[EDIT] November 17th 2017: Hey everyone. Due to my real-life work, I have been unable to spend as much time as I would like on this project; however, I have been doing what I can Smiley. As of right now, I am: running some thorough security testing (thankyou NetSparker), fine-tuning current functionality, refactoring code and making improvements, and making a list of features for future updates. I estimate a beta release will be made to the public in mid-December of this year. You can view progress via the Feedburner feed on this thread post - if you are interested in working on the project during beta release, please mail me (I would be so grateful for other developers and unit testers help).

[EDIT]: There is a chance I may add capability for more than 1 cryptocurrency. If I do, I'll make sure the admin will be able to handle that themselves instead of hardcoding it in (obviously Smiley ).

[EDIT] September 3rd 2017: Due to Google Analytics API querying limits, I can only limit stats to show on just a 'Stats' panel instead of on each faucet's page. If you want to increase Google's limit for the API (which sits at around 10,000 requests a day), you need to pay Google a small sum of money. I can still code this feature in, but it will have some problems for those who can't have a paid upgrade to Google Analytics API.

Note that users can only add faucets which admin has added. This is to prevent spam - e.g. users adding URL's into the system that are insecure, and URL's which could promote offending or inappropriate content. Users 'add' their own faucets by associating their referral codes with any main faucets available by admin.

By the time Beta/Preview release comes around, the script will be using Laravel version 5.5 (assuming the release date will actually be in August, as is assumed). Otherwise, the script will be running on version 5.4.*.

The above is just a sample of the features that have been worked on so far. I welcome any constructive ideas and suggestions for features!

Once the Beta/Preview version is live, you will be able to register an account and see some of these features. As this will not be considered a 'finished' release, there may be some small bugs that other users could encounter (other than myself) - if you encounter any, please let me know. In addition to that, all major bugs will be logged and monitored by Sentry - I will be receiving alerts when these happen. As there is only one developer working on this script, and due to the nature of timezones, messages won't necessarily be responded to right away.

Once the Beta/Preview has been live for about a month, and the most significant bugs/features ironed out, the new V2 version will be released as a finished version. Subsequently, the script will be also released as an open-sourced product. In-depth and detailed user documentation will be added, including a detailed set-up guide for users using shared hosting and those who have their own VPS/dedicated server). As there are thousands of differently configured environments the script *could* be used in, the 'finished' release will still be worked on to a degree - like a continuing evolution of improvements and features.

While I have yet to request developer contributions, I would consider requests if there is a large demand. Keep in mind that I am unable to pay anyone for contributions in money/BTC - resources are very limited, but my appreciation and gratitude is limitless.

You are able to track development progress by subscribing to the following feed @ http://feeds.feedburner.com/BitcoinFaucetRotatorV2Feed. Note that you cannot view any links that point to repository-hosted files (a login request to the repository will be shown, - and even then, you would need to be granted access to the repository).

Thank you for your interest, I look forward to bringing you a much better user experience Smiley. You can send feedback/suggestions to admin[at]freebtc[d0t]website. While I do have Facebook and Twitter profiles for the rotator, I try minimalise use of social media as it can be unproductive.
7  Economy / Micro Earnings / Freebtc.website needs new PAYING faucets! on: March 17, 2017, 05:43:24 AM
Hi everyone,

After purging a bunch of non-paying faucets from my bitcoin faucet rotator, I realize I really need to build up the list again. If you have any faucets that actually pay out to their users, consistently have a decent balance, and isn't full of popups and scam adverts, feel free to email me your requests or just comment on my rotator list's comment section.

Cheers, and enjoy St Patricks Day Smiley.
8  Economy / Service Announcements / How much would you pay per month for a 234x60 banner advert on freebtc.website? on: February 24, 2017, 07:55:38 AM
Hi everyone,

I am thinking of selling advertising space on my Bitcoin Faucet Rotator website, and would really like some opinions on how much one should pay for a spot (I only plan to have 4 at this stage).

Each of the 4 advertising spots are distributed site-wide, and are in the form of 4 234x60 banner-sized slots. A 468x60 banner space would be equivalent to 2 234x60 spots.

I initially thought of an annual (12 month) price of 0.025 BTC; however, I  realize that is probably too steep, and people would probably want to pay monthly instead. If I divide my proposed annual cost of 0.025 BTC by 12 months, that makes it 0.00625 BTC per month. As of posting, 0.025 BTC = USD$28.72 and 0.00625 BTC isUSD$2.42.

I plan to use CoinBase to facilitate recurring monthly payments Smiley.
9  Economy / Micro Earnings / [ANN] Are you a bitcoin faucet owner? I NEED YOU! on: September 01, 2016, 10:10:27 AM
Hi everyone,

I've just recently purged a bunch of defective faucets (38 to be exact) from my bitcoin faucet rotator, and would like to put in some new ones... This is where you come in!

If your faucet fits the following criteria:

  • BTC  No excessive popups/popunders.
  • BTC  Low or no balance.
  • BTC  Content that promotes racism, hate crimes, advocates terrorism, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, known bitcoin scams.
  • BTC  Site isn't constantly 'down' all the time, and isn't riddled with errors.
  • BTC  No fake surveys (seriously).
  • BTC  Doesn't display fake virus-like webpages, asking to download software.
  • BTC  Isn't hijacked/hacked
  • BTC  Doesn't bombard users with useless and fake business opportunities.
  • BTC  Doesn't contain any other information considered grossly offensive by the general public.

Leave a comment here, on my rotator (via Disqus), or email to admin[AT]freebtc.website the following info:

  • BTC  Faucet Name.
  • BTC  Faucet URL.
  • BTC  Faucet description.
  • BTC  Min. and max. payouts.
  • BTC  Faucet intervals.
  • BTC  Payout processor (e.g. FaucetBox, CoinBase, XAPO, your own site, etc.

I work full-time, so may be at least 24 hours before I check the faucet/s and add it/them to the rotator. I would provide an automated means of users submitting faucets, but i have no time to monitor spam submissions etc.

I have maintained this rotator for about 2 years now, and am glad so many people have used it to at least get started with Bitcoins. I hope my small contribution to the Bitcoin community will help others out Smiley.

Thank you all in advance - if you enjoy using the rotator, feel free to spread the word about it Smiley.
10  Economy / Games and rounds / [GET][FREE] 2 x $100 Google Adwords Voucher (when you spend $25) on: October 13, 2015, 03:48:40 AM
Hi everyone,

This isn't strictly related to Bitcoins, but thought I might be helping a couple of people out...

I checked my mailbox today and found a couple of letters from Google. Both of them were $100 Adwords vouchers - which are activated when you spend $25 (or more, I assume). According to the quoted text below, the codes appears to be valid only for new Adwords accounts:

Quote
Try an ad on Google today with a limited time offer we've included in this packet for Get $100 of free ad credit when you spend $25.

Unfortunately, I don't have the funds required to make use of these vouchers, but some of you might. If you have $25 and willing to spend it on Adwords, this could help promote your Bitcoin-related site (or anything really).

If you're interested in one of the codes, PM me. Once they are gone, they're gone, so first in first served!

NOTE: You need to spend $25 to activate the $100 worth of credits.
11  Economy / Micro Earnings / FreeBTC.website - Earn 100K+ satoshis a day on: August 18, 2015, 01:55:30 AM
Hi everyone,

After slow progress on a much improved script (built with Laravel and integrating w/ Twitter and Facebook), I have finally put it live!

This script is a vast improvement on the old version I had, so I hope people find it easier to use Smiley. Am still working on some features behind the scenes, but it's very much usable now.

If you're interested, visit http://freebtc.website and let me know what you think. Also, like the associated Facebook and Twitter profiles @ https://www.facebook.com/freebtc.website and https://twitter.com/FreeBTCWebsite. Here you will see changes I make - adding and modifying faucets, and general news etc.

Cheers Smiley.
12  Economy / Service Announcements / [ANN] freebtc.website - A Bitcoin Faucet Rotator with 100+ Working BTC Faucets on: December 25, 2014, 08:03:13 AM
Hi everyone and merry Christmas Smiley.

About a year or so ago I started a faucet rotator - now I have brought it over to it's own domain (freebtc.website). As of posting, there are 127 faucets available - ranging from every minute to every 24 hours. There are MicroWallet faucets, and also CoinBox.me, BitChest.me, FaucetFox, and others. I will be making a page showing the list of faucets in the near future - in the meantime, you can view the full list @ http://bitbin.it/PQAd5BKC.

This faucet rotator is ad-free, apart from the ads in the faucets themselves. Most faucets seem to bombard you with ads, so I seen no sense in compounding things further Smiley.

If you have a faucet or two you want added, please let me know.

Cheers!
13  Economy / Service Announcements / [ANN] BTCRotator - A bitcoin faucet rotator similar to CoinReaper on: June 27, 2014, 10:47:33 AM
Hi everyone,

Since I have (finally) finished my degree, I thought I would practice some new OO techniques by making a faucet rotator. Although my script is relatively small, I've made it such that modifications won't require much changing. Adding a faucet only requires adding the url in one data file Smiley.

If anyone wants to check it out, you can see it by going to btcrotator.robertattfield.com Smiley.

So far, the following faucets are in rotation:

14  Bitcoin / Legal / U.S. Drones Looking for Bitcoin Headquarters - Real or Fake? on: January 01, 2014, 03:00:26 AM
Hey everyone,

Pardon my ignorance, but I can't tell whether this article/press release is a fake or not. If it is true, I find it really disturbing for the future of cryptocurrencies. The link to the article is http://www.coinion.com/2013/12/31/u-s-drones-looking-bitcoin-headquarters/.

If this is true, I'd expect to see it on the news - oh who am I kidding, the corporate owned media, the globalist elite, and the 1% will do whatever they can to preserve their fiat currency.
15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Thinking of buying a Blue Fury USB Miner - would it work on a 'standard' laptop? on: December 26, 2013, 10:17:50 AM
Hey all,

Am thinking of buying a Blue Fury USB Miner (from https://asic-market.com/product/blue-fury-usb-miners/), and am wondering if it would work on a standard laptop? Am not sure what specs matter exactly, but I've pasted what I think may be relevant at http://bitbin.it/4cTzLs00. If anyone could tell me just the specs that would matter, I can add them here.

I've also heard that mining on laptops is generally not a good idea? If so, I can get a hold of a normal standalone PC.

16  Economy / Service Announcements / Bitcoin Faucet Collection - Earn Free Bitcoins with 60+ Bitcoin Faucets! on: December 21, 2013, 03:42:20 AM
Hi everyone,

NOTE: All the faucets have been shortened with CoinURL, with no surveys etc. This is to help recoup hosting costs and to help me get my feet wet with BTC.

I have created a page with 52 Bitcoin faucets - each one of them tested by myself and working (as of this morning anyway). I originally created this as a means to categorise and bookmark all the faucets in one place, but thought others might find it useful. Eventually, I'd like to create something like CoinReaper or Land of Bitcoin, but that would happen after Christmas.

Anyway, if you're interested, you can visit my collection at btcfaucetlist.robertattfield.com. Let me know if you see any that aren't working or dried out (a couple of them have refilled their faucets and come back online). If you have an active faucet that is paying out, let me know and I can add it to the collection.

Yes, there are ads on there, but there isn't any script that will hide the content if you block the ads (like my faucet, and many others).

Hope this helps anyone out there Smiley.
17  Economy / Lending / Seeking donations for new BTC faucet - btcfaucet.robertattfield.com on: December 12, 2013, 09:55:42 AM
Hey everyone,

I'm trying out a bitcoin faucet script at BTC http://btcfaucet.robertattfield.com/, and thought I would post it here for those interested in viewing it. At the moment, I only have 0.002 BTC, which isn't enough to put into the faucet (I need at least 0.02 BTC), so if anyone can help out with a donation I'd be very grateful. If your donation is more than 0.0005, you will get permanent ad spots on the faucet. If donation is less than 0.0005 but more than 0.00025, you'll get an ad spot for 6 months. If donation is less than 0.00025, you'll get 3 months ad placement. You will need to send me an email (available on the faucet) with your BTC address (so I know who you are) with your details.

I plan to do some S.E.O and social media promotion before there is enough mBTC to pay out to others.

I hope that this faucet will eventually get more people into bitcoins, and perhaps produce more benefits for people who choose to donate Smiley.
