1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / The Blocks Factory: DGB scrypt fails "Connect to Miner API failed" on: June 01, 2017, 09:14:31 PM
Is DGB scrypt pool blocking new miners?

I've just registered for testing a Titan asic to mine DGB on designated URI s1.theblocksfactory.com:9004, but only gets "Connect to Miner API failed"

Titan UI has the following fields:

Pool url
Quota
Account
Password

Pool url is always set to "s1.theblocksfactory.com:9004"
Quota is always blank
Account is tested with username.workername, or username.workername_device4 (4 set in "Devices" in worker account settings), or username.workername_diff100
Password is always set to the password

All with no success.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Asymetric temps with 2 or more HD 7990 - only with scrypt on: December 05, 2013, 09:34:53 PM
Hi,

I've been using dual Radeons since HD 5970, and still have 2 5970s for reference, and in this case with 2x 5970 the 4 GPUs run with identical hasrate and temps between 70 and 80c. Voltage, mem and GPU clocks at stock.

With 7990 it's a very different story. One card runs perfectly on stock with around 700Kh/s per GPU, the second runs at 90c with mem/GPU at 50% clock! It's the same on 3 different mobos. Switch to 5970 and both cards and all gpus behave the same - and at normal temps.

I'm baffled, as I'm only able to reproduce this behaviour with Scrypt - no such asymmetry with Milkyway@Home, Seti@Home, Einstein@home, etc.

Anyone else around with 2 or more HD 7990 scrypting on same mobo - would be great to hear your story with these cards.

FYI: I have open air testbeds, so free airflow, and room temp is 10c. No change in behaviour including Catalyst 13.9.

Hi,

I'm baffled that the available GPUs are treated as a string of separate entities from which only one GPU can be utilized at one time. There's no advanced guide to tell me otherwise.....?

My rig has 3 GTX 690s and one Titan, and although I'm happy to see that the Titan is grossing 284 Mhash/s second all the 3 GTX 690s are idle!

How do I mine on all available GPUs?

Hi,

I'm really baffled that the available GPUs are handled one-by-one and not as a pool of available resources. No advanced guides available.....

I have one rig with 3 GTX 690 and one Titan, and although I'm happy to see that the Titan is grossing 284 Mhash/s, I naturally want to mine on all GPUs.

Thanks,

Morten
