Check my signature for my OTC rating. I've done plenty of Bitcoin buys with ppUSD before. Currently, I'm waiting for cash I deposited at an ATM to clear (sort of proof). As soon as that happens, I will send the $240 ppUSD.

Message me here or on freenode IRC as lulzplzkthx!

Thanks a lot,
John Maguire

7  Economy / Services / Looking for small programming jobs [1-3 BTC] on: February 27, 2013, 12:20:40 AM
Looking for some small programming jobs to kill some free time between classes and homework. You can see many examples of my code on Github.

I prefer to work with Django/Python, but I have experience with other Python frameworks such as Flask and web.py, and am also highly proficient in PHP (including experience with OOP and popular frameworks).

Feel free to post a job proposition here, PM me, or send an email to me at jmaguire2013@gmail.com.

Thanks,
John Maguire (lulzplzkthx)
8  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTB] 3.35 BTC for $50 ppUSD on: December 23, 2012, 11:44:31 AM
Already taken care of, feel free to close this mods.

I know ppUSD is frowned upon but I'm trying to get this in a hurry as a Christmas gift for a friend. I tried LocalBitcoins but the guy won't have any Bitcoins until early January, and hitting up people in the order book on #bitcoin-otc has proved unsuccessful.

I'm willing to do smaller trades (perhaps three, one of 1.35 BTC, and two for 1 BTC) if a few different people are willing to step up for this.

That would come to $14.92 per Bitcoin.

Thanks in advance,
lulzplzkthx
9  Economy / Services / [WTS] Odd jobs (writing, transcribing, Craigslist posting, you name it) on: December 16, 2012, 06:54:06 PM
Hello,

I am interested in doing odd jobs for a bit of Bitcoins. My rates would be 0.5 BTC per 500 words for articles, 0.5 BTC for 15 minutes of transcription (from either a video, or an audio file) with every minute after that counting as 0.05 BTC, and Craigslist posting could be discussed.

Let me know if you're interested, or would like something not listed here. I also know PHP and Python very well.

Also, I'm offering free escrowing. I'd like to get some positive Bitcoin-OTC ratings to offset the little blemish I got.

Thanks,
lulzplzkthx
10  Economy / Auctions / MakeBitcoinsFast.com : Domains + Code, has top keywords! on: December 16, 2012, 06:18:02 PM
I'm selling both the domain and code of MakeBitcoinsFast.com It is currently making me approximately 0.015 BTC per day from CoinURL, which is 5.475 BTC/year. It also has top keywords on Google for things like "fast bitcoins", "get bitcoins easily," and is second for things like "easy bitcoins" and "get bitcoins fast."

The code is written in Python/Django, and has an admin interface to add/remove sites, clear stats, etc. Here are some screenshots of the admin panel.

For these reasons, I'd like to start the bidding at 5 BTC, and the auto buy is set at 10 BTC.

Thanks,
John Maguire
11  Economy / Goods / [WTS] $15 iTunes Gift Card Code on: September 23, 2012, 10:25:21 PM
Would like to sell this as I received it for my birthday and have no use for it. I will sell it for either 1 BTC, a $10 Google Play Store gift card, or $10 USD.

Thanks.
12  Economy / Lending / 110 BTC Loan Request on: May 23, 2012, 04:13:57 PM
Hello everyone, I'm looking for a loan of 110 BTC. I should be able to pay it back within 2 months. Please offer below with the interest rate you would like to see. I will be going with the lowest interest rate bid at the time of my choosing.

Thanks,
John Maguire
13  Economy / Services / Offering Python and PHP work for Bitcoins on: May 19, 2012, 01:42:14 PM
Hello everyone,

I am a web developer with expertise in PHP and Python. I am very familiar with Django and Flask in Python, and many PHP frameworks.

I have lots of experience with web programming work, however I do not do designs. I can throw in Bootstrap and something from Bootswatch, and I can do some pretty CSS stuff, but that's about it. No full website designs. I am strictly a programmer, not a designer.

My rates are approximately .1 BTC / hour, but the cost depends on the complexity of the project.

Please email me for estimates. My email address is jmaguire2013@gmail.com.

Thank you for your interest,
John Maguire

EDIT: Updating costs.
14  Economy / Invites & Accounts / [WTS] Steam account valued $180 for 3 BTC on: May 17, 2012, 03:53:33 AM
Greetings all,

Here's my account: http://m.ddgamer.com/worth.php?account=sigmundfraud

I can't game on my current laptop, and I was never a big gamer so this account is sort of going to waste. I played most of these games for a few days and then quit.

The games cost ~$180, and I'm willing to sell for 12.99 BTC (~$65) 9.99 BTC (~$50) or best offer 6 BTC or 3 BTC + $10 via Amazon Payments 3 BTC by Friday at 12:00 a.m. EDT.

A little bit of extra cash by Friday would be extremely helpful to me, hence me selling this. Please, buy it by then.

Thanks,
John Maguire
15  Economy / Marketplace / [ANN] Make Bitcoins Fast - Indexing site for "faucets", simple gambling, etc. on: May 16, 2012, 02:51:36 PM
Hello everyone,

I am here to announce my latest project which has been up for a few days now, Make Bitcoins Fast. I am trying to index many of the "faucets" which have sprouted up (e.g. CoinAd.com, Daily Bitcoins, etc.) as well other sites which make it easy to make a quick Bitcoin (e.g. Bitcoin Toss if it wasn't so controversial now.)

If you believe your site should be listed, comment with a link in this thread. Please also give a short description (will likely be slightly modified), and whether a referral service is offered or not, as that is something I include in descriptions.

I'm also offering ad-space on the website through Operation Fabulous, currently at only 0.005 BTC a day.

Yours,
John Maguire
16  Bitcoin / Project Development / Interesting Penetration Testing Logs on: May 16, 2012, 02:21:57 PM
Hey guys, thought I'd share this with you... I only recently started my site, Make Bitcoins Fast, and already I've been... pen tested? It looks more like they were testing to see if I was related to some other sites like the Bitcoin Faucet, MineField, and a lotto game. Anyway, here's the pages they tried requesting (which resulted in a 404):

I'm not worried or anything, I'm just curious what you guys think this might be? Why would people be testing to see if my site is one of those sites?
17  Bitcoin / Project Development / Kickstart the Bitcoin Kickstarter! on: May 08, 2012, 02:06:29 AM
Hello everyone,

I've come back from an almost year-long hiatus from Bitcoin, and I'm excited to be back. Upon checking out all the new projects, there was something I realized was missing: Kickstarter. If you've ever seen Kickstarter or Indiegogo, you'll know that they are awesome community-funded efforts to start new, innovative, and creative projects. I'd like to bring that kind of community to Bitcoin.

I've begun working on a design mockup, and hope to get a server setup shortly (thanks to a kind rg from BitVPS sponsoring me for the first month or two.) However, this can't cover everything!

Real graphics need to be created, I will need to pay for the VPS as soon as I can, and I also need to meet my own personal needs.

If you think this project is a good idea, and you support it, and believe you might use it, please donate just one (1) Bitcoin to the fund. This will go to helping create code, graphics, and serve the website.

To donate anonymously, use this address: 1Lauokt6UDNmHLC4RgoSS4Uc7sc6YYjQRn. If you would like to have your name listed as a founding supporter on the website, PM me for a private address so I can verify you sent the donation.

Thank you,
John Maguire
18  Economy / Services / Selling Assembled PirateBoxes at Cost + 3 BTC on: May 05, 2012, 12:57:52 AM
Inspired by this post, I feel like PirateBoxes are probably right up this community's ally.

If you don't know what a PirateBox is, here is a description from PirateBox themselves: "PirateBox is a self-contained mobile communication and file sharing device. Inspired by pirate radio and the free culture movement, PirateBox utilizes Free, Libre and Open Source software (FLOSS) to create mobile wireless file sharing networks where users can anonymously chat and share images, video, audio, documents, and other digital content. "

You can make your own via any of these guides. I am here only to try to make this process more convenient for you.

I'm saving money for a new laptop as I'm currently stuck on a Pentium 3 with one USB 1.0 port, can barely watch Netflix (frequently can't), and can't do much of anything. Any proceeds from this are going pretty much directly into helping me buy a new laptop so I can do more Cool Stuff again.

Basically, as was done in that post, you buy the parts (preferably TP-Link MR3020 or TP-Link TL-WR703N for the router, if you buy another one, I can't guarantee it'll be supported by OpenWrt, so make sure before you choose one): the router that is supported by OpenWrt and a USB drive (will dictate how much storage is on your PirateBox.)

You should have these shipped directly to me for the most cost-effective method. I will send you my address via PM. Please don't be a new or sketchy user on this forum, or I will not be comfortable giving you my address.

Once this has been completed, I will ship you the configured PirateBox (you will pay for this too. Unsure of how much shipping costs as it probably will vary by location. Please keep this in mind.)

Upon receiving your brand new PirateBox and ensuring it works, you will send me 3 BTC.

Please have some sort of reputation or a Bitcoin-OTC account so I know you aren't going to scam me.
19  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Battlefield 3 CD Key on: October 26, 2011, 12:20:04 AM
I won a Battlefield 3 CD key in a contest, but since I don't game, it's worthless to me. I'd like to sell it for 19 BTC. I have a good reputation in #bitcoin-otc (assuming that's still around?), though I recently lost my key (again). I'm willing to send first if you have a good reputation.

Or you can buy it for two $20 Domino's gift cards, as I'm going to be hunting gift cards with the BTC I receive. Smiley

20  Bitcoin / Project Development / Transparent Random Number "Generation" on: June 17, 2011, 07:34:55 PM
I've noticed many websites, especially gambling, or chance related, needing transparent random number generations. Some have taken to MD5 hashes, etc. but I'd like to offer another method.

Each day, there will be 40,000 new numbers added to a list of numbers I have downloaded from random.org. The way my system works is this:

1. You send a GET request to http://testingzone.zapto.org/random/
2. You will receive a JSON output, similar to this: {"id":"3","number":"556194503","password":"4dfbaa53d6e28","time":1308338771,"error":0}
3. Check that the error is 0.
4. The ID you give to the user, the number you use, and you have the option to give the time to the user.
5. When everything has been done, you give the user the password.

Errors are as follows:
1 - Database error.
2 - Error generating numbers (ran out.)

On the user's side, it works like this:

1. You go to http://testingzone.zapto.org/random/?act=view&id=3
2. You will receive an output similar to this: Number generated at 06/17/2011 07:26:11 UTC. This hopefully lets you know that the owner of the website isn't reusing old IDs.
3. When you are given the password, you add &password=4dfbaa53d6e28 to the end of the URL (so, http://testingzone.zapto.org/random/?act=view&id=3&password=4dfbaa53d6e28)
4. You will receive an output similar to this: Number generated at 06/17/2011 07:26:11 UTC. Correct password given. The number was: 556194503
5. You verify the number is correct with the way the system works, and are satisfied.

The numbers are between the length of 1 and 1,000,000,000. It is up to you as a developer to turn that number into what you need.
The format of the time variable is an integer number of 10 digits. It's the UNIX Epoch time.
The numbers come from random.org.

Feel free to use this however you wish, just please don't try to eat up all of my numbers (i.e. don't be a douche.)

Any suggestions?
