1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Is there any way to add a change address to Electrum Offline Android wallet? on: June 27, 2019, 06:52:51 AM
Situation: Using latest Electrum android version I have an online smartphone that has the xpub but not the seed. This wallet has received some change on a specific address that I'd like to import to Jaxx. The seed owner, an offline cryptographed smartphone won't show that address in it's address list (because it was generated deterministically).

Question: Is there any way I can fetch that change address to the offline smartphone so I can export it's private key?

Thanks.

3  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How fragile is the pot we're putting our money in? on: June 23, 2017, 02:19:09 AM
The main threats to Bitcoin are widely known, like 51% attack, Quantum computing breaking criptography, etc.

But based on this:

Although we all wish Bitcoin will some day be the #1 in value exchange worldwide adopted, it's easy to see that economically speaking Bitcoin is still a dwarf.

I can imagine many reasons Bankers and/or Governments would want to shut down and forbid decentralized trustless criptocurrencies. So what is stopping them to do this?

You'll say: 1st they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you and then (maybe) you win.

In my opinion Bitcoin economic size puts it in the "they laugh at you" level, as we can see MSM is doing in this: https://news.bitcoin.com/mainstream-journalist-makes-bizarre-attempt-at-living-for-a-week-using-bitcoin/

If I'm right, the next step is "they fight you".

How do you fellows see weapons and tactics to take Bitcoin over by a powerful agent? Don't even need to bring a counter-attack tactic, just how would you smart guys do that if you had unlimited economic power.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why there's no Ethereum Classic full node program? on: May 22, 2017, 02:45:40 AM
I wonder why I have no options to run an Ethereum Classic full node, downloading the blockchain and having a wallet.
Accessing https://ethereumclassic.github.io/ (is this the official project website?) the given wallet options are Hardware Wallets, the stinky Jaxx and some online websites (even a Google Chrome Extension).
I think those options (except for Hardware Wallet) are very unsafe and the awful Jaxx scam wallet is blocking some ETC I've mined.

6  Bitcoin / Electrum / [RESOLVED]Seed generated by Android version invalid on PC,works on other Android on: April 05, 2017, 11:12:23 PM
I've been warning devs since a few months ago about this bug, although they're insisting seeds generated in any platform should work in any platform.

Truth is that I have Electrum 2.7.18 installed in a disconnected Android device that I use as a cold wallet, but I've tried unsuccessfully to import this wallet to more than one Ubuntu PC and  I receive the same error message: Invalid seed.

In other Android devices it works perfectly.

Seeds generated by Electrum client installed on PC also works on Android.

This almost caused me 6 BTC losses if I hadn't rushed to buy another phone to recover the wallet.

EDIT: this is not an isolated case. Every seed generated by this offline device is not not valid to be redeemed on PCs.
