Anyway, it does not matter. With your LR USD you can buy more cheaper at MTGOX than I can sell it you.

If you will need GBP in exchange for LR USD - let me know.

My offer is 2142.64015 GBP on intersango for 3347 LR USD.

24  Economy / Trading Discussion / MTGOX - something wrong here... on: June 07, 2012, 09:32:34 PM
Last 3 weeks MTGOX had $1.4M (bitcoincharts.com)  weekly turnover during rising prices.. it means you can not buy, sell, then buy again - because you will lose money doing it...

It means most of this turnover was one way - Cash => BTC.

There is small chance that this whole ~$4M was requested to be withdrawn immediately. So a LOT of this money stays on the account of MTGOX.

But every other thread about MTGOX is - liquidity problems - people wait for transfers... so things does not add up... ~$4M on balance and no withdrawals.

Some of them forced to buy BTC back on MTGOX and transfer it to another exchange, spurring BTC rate higher but not for a long time... finally they will need to sell it again.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Buy BTC with credit card (VISA/Mastercard) through LiqPay on: June 03, 2012, 08:44:58 PM
1. Top up your account ( https://www.liqpay.com/?do=topple_liqpay )
2. Tell me how much BTC you want.
3. Get ready to take picture of your ID where your name is written with English letters.
4. Next to your ID must be sheet of paper that says "I paid invoice #x at LiqPay.com" where X will be invoice id that you will receive from me by email.

No commission, price will be MTGOX rate at the time transfer is made.

Example, you card charged $100 USD. MTGOX rate is Bid/Ask 5.21/5.23. You will receive 19.12 BTC
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / getreceivedbyaddress exists, where is getaddressbalance on: June 02, 2012, 08:59:49 AM
"getreceivedbyaddress" exists = shows total received...

Why there is no "getaddressbalance"?

How can I get balance of address?
27  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Transactions chaining ( create/sign ) question on: May 26, 2012, 10:44:41 AM
I think we can overlay Ripple network on top of bitcoin... I need you, developers, to validate my idea.

BTC here will be used as tokens of credit(IOU(i owe you))

For example we have 4 addresses and we want to pass 4 IOUs to through them...

Address #1 moves it to #2, #2 to #3 and #3 to #4.

Question is:

Can we create chain of unsigned transactions to make sure that these tokens finally arrive to #4 and ONLY then sign it so it will move?

29  Economy / Lending / lend/borrow receipts inside Bitcoin network on: May 25, 2012, 10:13:33 AM
A lot of us need lend/borrow BTC and we want to get confirmations when we paid loan back or lent money to somebody..

Examples:
10 BTC sent to Crosby.  Please confirm reciept.

http://blockchain.info/address/616a5c435d4ebb621649b762310ae4b18cfc1213

I have deposited 20 btc, please confirm hashking.

Eveofwar is going to borrow 50 btc and repay 55 btc on 4/5/12.  Please agree to these terms Eveofwar. Ok your repayment address is 1L1kNRv7c5KAL6NZZW56E6VFt5mhLiWcjM.  Funds are sent.

Let's analyze situation:  Person A made a loan of 30 BTC to person B and person B paid back 35 BTC some time later...

Facts are:

1. Person B wanted loan
2. Person B wanted to pay back 35 BTC
3. Person B paid back 35 BTC

4. Person A agreed on conditions to be paid back 35 BTC
5. Person A gave money to person B

If we can link all of these actions to Bitcoin network interactions we can have nice stats... for example how much in debt person is right now, how much he repaid..

Now let's do same transaction again, but using new technique:

Step 1: Person A agrees to lend 30 BTC to person B and be repaid 35 BTC. He opens brand new address ( address A) and gives it to person B.
Step 2: Person B sends 35 BTC / 10^8 = 0.00000035 BTC to address A from address B.
Step 3: Person A sends 30 BTC to address A and then sends them to address B.
Step 4: Person B sends 35 BTC to address A.

If something goes wrong we can always see:

a) If lender actually lent any money
b) If borrower paid it back
c) If he paid in full

What do you think?

31  Economy / Lending / Need 1000 BTC. 100% guarantee for lender on: May 18, 2012, 02:56:38 PM
If you have 1000 BTC and you want to deposit it and get some % but you need good guarantee that this BTC will return to you.

I can provide such deposit with 100% guarantee... How? BTC will never leave your wallet... Watch this...

!!!IMPORTANT!!! You neither change your BTC into USD nor send anything to me during deal.

Let's say today's price is 5 BTC/USD.

You have 1000 BTC. You want to loan it for 5% per year for 6 months ( Yield will be 25 BTC )

Your 1000 BTC = 5000 USD today. We make an agreement that you lend me this 5000USD for 6 months.

I transfer 25 BTC into escrow for somebody well known on forum.

After 6 months passed we look at the price. If the price is lower, let's say 4.5 BTC, your initial 1000 BTC will cost 4500 USD.

Difference goes to me = (5000 USD - 4500 USD) / (4.5 BTC/USD) = 111.11 BTC.

If price is above 5 BTC/USD, I don't owe you anything because you did NOT convert BTC into USD when "lending" to me.

And, of course, you get 25 BTC (yeild) for this bond from escrow.

If you are interested - write here how much BTC you want to lend and for what %

38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Reasons why I maxed my BTC holdings on: February 09, 2012, 12:08:59 AM
You must be blind not to see that something is going on with BTC today... MTGOX has new record volume since Nov 15

Let's talk about facts now:

1. Somebody sold 120K of BTC
2. Somebody bought 120K of BTC
3. Price did not move a shit.
4. We have both fundamental and technical analysis pointing for upside move.
5. The person who bought 120K @ 5.6 will unlikely to sell it lower that price.

Now let's guess what it can be.

1. Early adopter(s) cashing out. Outcome - price did not stumble - means demand is great and people who were selling now have less 120K BTC in their pockets to move prices down

2. MTGOX scam in progress ( It's very unlikely) - they are selling non existent BTC. Outcome - when people start to withdraw BTC shit will hit the fan very fast. Lack of BTCs on the market will be uncovered and we will have price breaking ceiling

3. MTGOX scam in progress ( It's very unlikely) - they are buying BTC with non existent USD. Outcome - when people start to withdraw USD shit will hit the fan but slower. MTGOX will promise to pay everything in next 2 or 3 months but still...  Lack of BTCs on the market will be uncovered and we will have price breaking ceiling

4. Somebody crazy shorting BTC with leverage full scale on Bitcoinica. Outcome - price will need to go up a little bit and he will receive margin call.. Price will get rid of resistance and will go up with speed.

5. Somebody crazy buying BTC with leverage full scale on Bitcoinica. Outcome - price will need to go down a little bit and he will receive margin call.. But we will remember him as a guy that donated fortune to stop BTC price drop and held current price levels with his own money

I can't imagine what news must be there to trigger massive sell off of the rest 6M BTC...

What do you think about it?
