1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICO problems need to solve before its too late. on: May 11, 2018, 05:29:30 AM
I observe that many ICOs nowadays experiencing, bargain their coins after the ICO when listed the exchange. During ICO, Lots of promising platforms offered to attract more investors and seems very effective. In fact, many ICOs reached the hard cap and the value of ICO tokens goes up very round because of the demand.  The problem is, after the ICO, when listed on the exchange, the value fall down to 50% - 90% from its ICO value. So this means, even you will get a 100% additional bonus reward as an early investor in the pre-sale, you are still not in the good shape once it falls down 50% to 90%. For example, an ICO with 1$ value per coin with 100% +bonus during pre-sale, If you buy 100$, you will get 200 coins. But when listed on the exchange, many of them down to 50% or more worst to 90%. So your 200 coins will be valued 100$  or even 20$ . If they will not solve this problem, then who will invest in the ICOs when we can buy coins very cheap in the exchange?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Redtrust to scam bounty managers on: March 10, 2018, 03:19:20 PM

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / My 3 Golden rules of using MEW wallet to avoid phishing sites and hacker on: March 03, 2018, 04:45:15 PM
Hi everyone especially to the newbies using MEW wallet.
I read many posts in fb cried out of their MEW wallet was hacked and all their crypto assets were gone inside. When I ask them did they done something wrong? Then answered "No", in fact they never ever shared their PK to anyone and to any forms they filled up but still hacked or victimized by phishing sites.

IMHO,based on my experience using myetherwallet, I think its very safe because you have hold the private key. But the problem in MEW is very prone to phishing because its a browser wallet. If you are careless enough to check the site before loging in, then expect all your tokens inside will be lost forever.

Here are my 3 golden rules, using MEW wallet to avoid hacker or phishing sites:

1. Do not share your private key to anyone, and keep it in to a very secured place in your PC or make a backup in a hard drive if you like.

2. Bookmark the myetherwallet site to your browser to avoid phishing sites. Use the bookmarked site every time you login. Using metamask is also a great idea.

3. Never ever believe when you receive a message in your email from MEW support , (pretending they are from myetehrwallet team asking you to click the MEW site link for an update and if you will not click it then all your coins inside will be lost), because the MEW team reminds us that they never ever sending any messages to any email addresses providing with their links and asking to click for an update. Once you click it and login then say goodbye to your tokens

Hope it helps. Thank you!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is there any ways to avoid non paying bounty campaigns? on: February 28, 2018, 08:00:43 AM
Hi every one. I just wanna ask if , is there any ways to prevent or minimize the nonpaying bounty campaigns?

I joined a lots of bounty campaigns here on btt recently but I have encountered  bounty campaigns never paid the bounty hunters at the end of the campaign period. Not to mention these projects, some of them are now scam, but some of them are now very successful after the campaign, and  they forgot to pay their advertisers at the end of the bounty period. As a bounty hunter like me , its very important. Its really pain when you are advertising an ICO for month/months but in the end you got nothing. As of now, I only joined a bounty campaign which handled by bounty manager with good record here.

Guys what can you say about this article spreading in fb that fb will going to ban all the advertisements which related to bitcoin  and other crypto currencies including ICOs? As a bounty hunter, its seems very alarming.

6  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin.Bitcoin.Bitcoin!!!!!!!!! on: January 26, 2018, 04:17:06 PM
With the way things are going right now, Bitcoin is fighting to be stable at least in the vicinity of the
$10K level support and though we are wishing for it to make some surges the way it did in the last
quarter of 2017, that may not be happening soon (am willing to be surprised though).

This can be the scenario leading others to conclude that we are
about to experience a longer than expected bearish market or worst a Bitcoin winter season this early part of the year.

Are you still optimistic that within this quarter Bitcoin will surprise us with an unexpected rise or will it
retreat further?

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BIP91 Lock-in Does Not Guarantee a Swift SegWit Activation on the Bitcoin Networ on: July 23, 2017, 09:37:38 AM
Where Do We Go From Here After Locking in BIP91?

Locking in BIP91 was an enormous feat. It required over 80% of the total hashpower to signal intent for this solution, and one can safely say the mining pools and community came together for the greater good. At the same time, this was only a small victory in a lengthy war and things are not set in stone.

With the lock-in secured, the Bitcoin network is now in a grace period. There will be a period of time until non-SegWit blocks are rejected by the network. This is a big change, even though the majority of the network is seeming to signal SegWit blocks. SegWit2x and USF signals are both considered “valid,” whereas pools or miners signaling Bitcoin Unlimited, for example, will see their blocks rejected. This rejection period will go into effect very soon.

Despite all of this positive momentum, there is no guarantee for a successful SegWit activation. It could be activated instead as BIP141. While BIP91 signals intent to support BIP141’s SegWit, it is merely based on hashpower. If mining pools and miners were to pull out suddenly, there would be nothing anyone could do to prevent it. Considering how very few economic nodes support BIP91 right now, it seems unlikely we will see a “pure” activation of Segregated Witness.

If the majority of miners changed their mind, they would risk being forked off the main Bitcoin blockchain. That would result in the chain split people are so desperately trying to avoid. BIP91 was introduced to make SegWit2x and the UASF compatible to avoid a chain split. However, it could end up being the catalyst for an actual network split, which is still a possible outcome at this stage.

For the time being, there is no evidence to suggest that miners would suddenly turn their backs on BIP91. However, just because this small milestone has been reached does not mean everything will be smooth sailing. The miners will follow the largest chain, regardless of whether or not it supports “pure” Segregated Witness. It also means the minority supporting the BIP91 soft fork can be ignored by the rest of the network in a few weeks from now.

This “public intent to signal for something” is nothing more than an empty promise by miners and mining pools. Now is the time for these individuals to put their money where their mouth is and make Bitcoin scale properly, regardless of political shenanigans.  Assuming things remain as they are now, we will see the first steps toward activating SegWit in about a week’s time.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Enthusiasts of the Bitcoin Lightning Network will be pleased with ACINQ on: July 23, 2017, 03:08:54 AM
Enthusiasts of the Bitcoin Lightning Network will be pleased with ACINQ right now, The company is releasing an Android Wallet for the  Lightning Network on the Bitcoin testnet. Although this still means the concept is in the  testing stage, it is a big step in the right direction. With SegWit activation drawing closer, now is a good time to look toward the future. Making the Lightning Network user-friendly is the obvious first step.

To access the Lightning Network, one needs to go through many hoops right now. Most non-developers will have an incredibly difficult time doing so. ACINQ acknowledges something needs to change in this regard. The company is releasing their Android application to make this protocol more accessible. Anyone making use of the app can send test transactions on the Bitcoin testnet. Eclair wallet is free to download and should be available in the Play Store right now.
