1  Economy / Collectibles / [IDEA] 🌍🌎🌏 Community group participation - Bitcoin Colouring Book on: Today at 12:23:17 PM
Hi All,

I have had this idea from the very start of the Bitcoin Colouring Book project andI think and hope people find
it interesting and will participate apologies for all the "ands"

The idea is to have a group of people around the world colour part of 1 book, lets say #50
and then raffle it off for free!

The group of people would be chosen by raffle also.

I kick it off, colour 1 page and then post to the next person who in turn colours a page of
their liking and posts it on. Obviously you will incur a cost of having to post it to the next
in line.

The last and 12th person in the line holds the book until the raffle is complete and then
posts it to the winner.

Its supposed to be a fun project and another give back to the community and should also
gain added value from being created in part by the group and potentially some legends of the Collectibles Board

So post up what you think!

2  Economy / Collectibles / [FREE RAFFLE - ENDED] 🎲 Original Art - Bitcoin Colouring Book ✏️🎨🖍️ on: August 04, 2022, 10:48:03 AM
Hello All, Welcome to my first FREE RAFFLE

These are based on my current BITCOIN COLOURING BOOK project and will be the first of a few FREE RAFFLE's I hope to run

Up for auction are two original COLOURED pieces which were used in the book. Each is 1 of 1.

Lot 1: is celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day this year which just happened to fall when I was creating
the design for the Book. I scanned and printed the artwork and then coloured it in as it was meant to be done.
This was posted by me originally on the Pizza Day Celebration Thread this year.

Lot 2: is the original coloured piece used for the cover of the book, again a digital black outline
printed out and then hand coloured by myself.

The materials used were a combination of Faber Castell Aquarelle and Faber Castell Albrecht Durer pencils.

Each piece will be designed and dated by me on the date of the Auction end

FREE postage anywhere
25 tickets, 1 ticket per member - But you could be lucky enough to win both lots!
No newbie members registered after 01/06/2022 can apply
After all tickets are full I will pick 2 blocks which will determine the winner.
The last two numerals will be counted - ie. 0 and 1
Please dont contact me unless you win
Remember keep your details private.

Determining the winner - finer details.....

Starting with Lot 1, I pick a block
The last two digits of the hash will call the winner

4  Economy / Speculation / Bear Market Opportunities - Forget "When Lambo" on: June 22, 2022, 12:28:03 PM
So while the "When Lambo" crew have disappeared there is a lot of talk about Bitcoin's
market value falling further, $13k, $10k and beyond.

Think back to 2017 The ATH at the end of the year was ~$19700
Think back 1 year after to 2018 Bitcoin fell to under $4000

We all know Bitcoin in the long term is only going one way, and thats up but most of us
didnt take the opportunities presented to us like in 2018, $4000 for a Bitcoin  is now
a "sell everything" to buy Bitcoinprice.

Everyone has a mark at such time they panic to BUY Bitcoin, at what price is your
"sell everything to BUY Bitcoin" mark?

We know $69000 is easily achievable and we may not see these prices again after next
year so we have to take these bear market opportunities.
5  Economy / Collectibles / Loading a DIY Collectible on: June 10, 2022, 11:07:54 AM
Hi all,

I really hope I'm not the only one who hasnt done this before but I want to load some
DIY coins. I know what has to be done but I'm not sure how to go about it so I'm looking
for some advice or maybe a breakdown of your workflow?

Generating addresses and keys
printing and adhering the holograms

Funny thing is I have seen guides on how its done but I just cannot find the threads?

The most recent one I saw was a tip on how to apply the holograms....maybe by krogoth? idk....

Thanks in advance !

They have listed some interesting Silver Shield rounds, older ones from 2018.

Ripple 2018

Bitcoin 2020

They also have some anti establishment themes >
7  Economy / Collectibles / Tarnish / Toning / Lustre - My coin is on the way on: May 25, 2022, 06:35:15 PM

I think I got this coin earlier this year and this evening I went through what was in the
collection to see this coin changing colour. Admittedly it did have a slightly different
tone to the other when I got it but it now has purple blotches forming.

I know in the coin collecting world a certain type of toning is very collectible on certain
and generally old coins or all - im not so sure.

So for a very young coin to be showing this colouration I wonder if its "normal" given its
not in circulation.....

Also in coin collecting generally cleaning, polishing and messing with coins is frowned
upon, what would be the communities opinions be about polishing this colouration out?

Personally I would like to see what happens over the next few months.

Has anyone else got any coins which are changing?
8  Bitcoin / Press / [2022-04-29] PANAMA ASSEMBLY PASSES BILL REGULATING BITCOIN on: April 28, 2022, 11:30:25 PM
Panama with this news seems not to have gone as far as El Salvador but they are
certainly moving in a similar direction.

Panama definitely see Bitcoin as being a very large entity in future economy and
are looking to tap into the technology while providing their citizens with an alternative
to the traditional banking system because the article states over 50% of the population
do not have a bank account.

Some extracts

After the presidentís signature, the bill will regulate the usage of bitcoin as payment in the country.

The bill seeks to provide regulatory clarity for the optional usage of cryptocurrencies
as payment in Panama, Silva added. Moreover, the goal is to incentivize foreign companies
to open offices in the Central American country as well as to foster local entrepreneurship in
the cryptocurrency services business.

Personally I like this aspect:

There will be no capital gains tax on bitcoin investments.

9  Economy / Collectibles / Coin Materials on: April 10, 2022, 06:39:05 PM
Hi All,

There seems to be a big emphasis on Gold, Silver, Coppper and Brass used in
the making of collectible crypto coins, which is all good.

I have seen coins listed here before in Aluminium , Stainless Steel, PlatinumI think
and Bronze I think but I was wondering lately what other types
of materials or even metal alloy's would be cool and different to produce
collectible coins in?

My first thought went to Jade, and I havent seen anything in Jade with a
Bitcoin theme, how cool would that be be create a Satoshi coin from a
distinctly oriental material?

As regards metal alloys there are many which have been used in ancient coinage
like Electrum which is an alloy of Gold and Silver. I'm not sure how difficult is is
to make these materials and how difficult it is to work with them, has anyone
considered different materials for making Collectible Crypto Coinage I wonder?

From that wiki page there are other alloys listed:
It is thought to be an alloy of copper with gold or silver (or both)
also known as black Corinthian bronze, was a highly valuable metal alloy in classical antiquity.
It is thought to be an alloy of copper with the addition of a small proportion of gold and silver
(perhaps as little as 8% of each), mixed and treated to produce a material with a dark purplish patina,
similar to the colour of liver
Panchaloha is traditionally described as an alloy of gold, silver, copper, zinc, and iron.
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Crypto Sponsorship in the Sports Arena on: March 31, 2022, 10:05:11 PM
There are two sports I watch regularly, Tennis and Rugby. This year I think is the first
year I have seen sponsorship of a Rugby team by a crypto service, this was Bitpanda's
sponsorship of the Italian Rugby team.

Watching Tennis tonight and Osaka for the first time at Miami I realised she is sponsored
by FTX

I realise a lot of crypto gambling sites as an example sponsor Soccer teams and
I think some crypto services team up with some motorsports.

It would be interesting to know if any other sports teams or persons are sponsored by
crypto services providers, Altcoin projects or endorse any Bitcoin specific projects.
11  Economy / Collectibles / [INFO] - Bitcoin Holographic Coin by Real Crypto on: February 22, 2022, 04:01:35 PM
Hi All,

I came across this site on some casual googling and thought I would share it here

It looks like from the description that they are limited in supply, are affordable and
obviously have a hologram and are sold out.

Our coins are struck from brass rounds and are first plated in a layer of copper
then silver with the final plating done in either .999 pure silver or 24K gold.

The range of coins minted is between 100 and 1600 and varies for each coin.

They also have a Litecoin, Ethereum and two other coins I never heard of MonetaryUnit
and Ubiq, has anyone got any experience of this site and/or the coins?

They have a listing for an ULTIMATE COLLECTOR PACK

12  Economy / Economics / [Coinbase] Bitcoin Collateral = FIAT Loans on: November 02, 2021, 11:10:47 PM
Just saw this on Twitter >

Weíre excited to announce that eligible customers can now borrow up to $1 Million USD from Coinbase.

and verified on their website >

Now you can borrow up to $1,000,0001 from Coinbase using your Bitcoin as collateral. Pay just 8% APR2 with no credit check.

Michael Saylor has been talking about this conceptfor a while in the same message
as not ever selling your Bitcoin, I didnt think this was going to happen this fast.

Personally I have mixed feelings, Bitcoin is being slowly morphed into traditional banking,
or traditional banking practices are being applied to personal Bitcoin holdings. Of course
nobody is being forced to do this, its a choice, how many of us would be willing to
apply for a FIAT loan while handing over BTC as collateral to Coinbase so they can
keep it safe?

Choose what to borrow

You can borrow as much as 40% of the value of the Bitcoin in your account, up to $1,000,000.

Get your cash

Using your bank account or PayPal, get access to your borrowed cash quickly with no fees.

Make monthly payments

Each month you only need to pay the interest due ($10 min). Pay off the balance when youíre ready. Additional terms apply

Your Bitcoin stays safe

The Bitcoin you use as collateral remains safely held by Coinbase. Itís not lent out or used for any other purpose.
13  Economy / Collectibles / [Gauging Interest] Teak Slab - Bitcoin / Litecoin on: September 30, 2021, 10:02:24 PM
I have got some aged Teak offcuts which I have been storing for some unknown
future project and I have decided to make a move and create something of them.

I did a test run last weekend at carving the Bitcoin symbol into a piece, profiled
the outside edge, applied some Gold Acrylic paint and gave it two coats of satin
varnish to finish, the result is from a quick enough job but I like the result.

So I am gauging some interest in the concept of some carved Teak products with
very low quantities.

The first plan is to make a set of two, Bitcoin and Litecoin, inlaid with Gold and Silver
Acrylic paint. Artwork below and some some sample images. I'm planning 5 sets,
They will be numbered, A1/2 & A2/2, B..., C..., D..., E... I still have to figure out how I will do that though.

Size of each: 9.4cm x 6.2cm x 1.8cm approximately [easy to post]

This is the initial sample to convert what I had in my head to something physical

These are the 2 slabs ready for carving

and this is the artwork

On a slightly larger scale I have plans to make something from 4 slabs,
15.2cm x 8.8cm x 2cm approx. but i am undecided on the artwork.

I will potentially start off with the smaller set first.

14  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Magazines - Beastie Boys Memorabilia c.1994 on: September 25, 2021, 09:06:48 AM
I have had these since 1994 and they have travelled with me throughout all my house moves and
have been stored in a light proof box since. They are all in v.good condition, minimal handling marks
but some have some edge wear.

Looking to sell these as one lot for Bitcoin - 0.0015 [postage extra]

If you want any more info let me know.

15  Other / Beginners & Help / My System for Security/Protection of Hardware Wallets and Valuables on: September 12, 2021, 02:49:37 PM
I thought I would post some details of my system for storing, securing and protecting
my valuables primarily in the event of fire.

I use a product from Master Lock >  its a Fire and Flood security chest,
they have a number of products in the range at very reasonable prices, some priced
less than a Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet. This gives another layer of protection
from fire and flood damage.

For example here is a link to one on >

For security against theft it is not suitable as they are portable, heavy but portable.
The model I use is the

What do I store in it?

Well up to 7.8 Litres in volume of items such as:
Important Documents: Insurance documents, Birth certificates, Copies of Drivers License, Bank account details
Electronics: Hardware wallets, Encrypted USB drives
Edit - Valuables: Jewellery, Gold, Silver, Cash, Etc.

More of Master Lock's products >

16  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-09-12] - U.K. Post Office Now Allows Users Purchase Bitcoin... on: September 12, 2021, 01:43:52 PM

This from 2 days ago

A report from The Telegraph said that the Post Office was allowing the purchase of bitcoin
through a new partnership. Swarm Markets, a German-based and regulated crypto exchange,
entered into this partnership with the U.K. Post Office. It will allow users that have verified their
identities through the Post Office EasyID app to directly access and purchase cryptocurrencies
from Swarmís websites.

I have never heard of Swarm, Here is their site >

The U.K. Post Office will not receive a commission on the bitcoin and crypto bought through
the EasyID app on Swarm Markets. But Swarm Markets is paying the Post Office for the usage of
its ID verification software.

Yet another easy and reulated route for people to enter into crypto, we have already seen the likes
of Revolut and recently paypal in the U.K making the opportunity of owning Bitcoin in various ways
easy for people to get into it.

What I like about this move by The Post Office and Swarm is that whoever uses the service gets
to actually own the coins, this is how I understand it.
17  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-09-01] Twitter Beta Testing Bitcoin Tipping Feature on: September 01, 2021, 12:45:19 PM

Twitter is now testing the ability to tip users in Bitcoin through Jack Mallerís lightning network app Strike.

The Bitcoin developments at Twitter follow through with promises by CEO Jack Dorsey made in July.
It was implied then that Bitcoin would be enabled in the Tip Jar service. He suggested also that Bitcoin
could be used for Super Follows, Commerce and Subscriptions.

This is very interesting news about potential developments over on Twitter.
This goes another step to "normalising" Bitcoin for the masses or at least those on

This will also mean that if initiated on Twitter we will be able to tip the BitcoinTalkShow account !!

18  Economy / Services / [S E R V I C E] 2D & 3D Digital Space Planning Service on: August 30, 2021, 08:19:44 PM
I have about 15 years experience in office sace planning and layouts.
I trained with AutoCAD but have for the past 5 years been using pCon
and have decided to offer my services to the community or anyone you
may know.

I can generate 2D line plans and also 3D coloured renders which can be
used to visualise your office either before moving in or if you want to
re-vamp the layout and decor.

Here are 3 samples of what can be acheived.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me or post below.

Q. How does it work?

A. For your office environment you just measure the length of the walls,
where your windows and doors are located as a basic.

Some ideas:
How many workers do you want to accomodate?
What style of desking, Seating and Storage you require
What your colour palette is[/font]

19  Bitcoin / Mining / Bitcoin + El Salvador + Volcano's = 100% clean energy mining on: June 11, 2021, 06:26:57 AM
I know its a naff thread title but El Salvador is looking to get into Bitcoin Mining
using geo thermal energy from their Volcano. This means the energy produced is
100% green and seemingly endless.

I dont think anyone this time last week would have put Bitcoin, El Salvador and
Volcano in the same sentence, might have got 2 out of 3 perhaps.

Hours after becoming the first nation to authorise bitcoin as a legal tender, El Salvadorís President Nayib Bukele instructed a state-owned geothermal electric company to plan to use geothermal energy from the countryís volcanoes for mining for the cryptocurrency.

20  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-06-05] El Salvador to make Bitcoin Legal Tender on: June 05, 2021, 09:36:25 PM
Its a small step from a small country!
Amid all the FUD flying around for the past number of weeks we cannot lose sight
of the fact that there is more good news than bad in relation to Bitcoin, even if
its small!

President of El Salvador Says Heís Submitting Bill to Make Bitcoin Legal Tender

Zapís Jack Mallers announced the news at the Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami. He said his company is working with Bukele to implement a plan.

The bill must still be reviewed by the countryís legislative assembly. But with the populist Bukeleís upstart political party in firm control of that body, approval seemed all but assured Saturday afternoon.
