http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-03-23/fighting-war-terror-banning-cashProhibiting French residents from making cash payments of more than 1,000 euros, down from the current limit of 3,000 euros.
Given the parlous state of the stagnating French economy the limit for foreign tourists on currency payments will remain higher, at 10,000 euros down from the current limit of 15,000 euros.
The threshold below which a French resident is free to convert euros into other currencies without having to show an identity card will be slashed from the current level of 8,000 euros to 1,000 euros.
In addition any cash deposit or withdrawal of more than 10,000 euros during a single month will be reported to the French anti-fraud and money laundering agency Tracfin.
French authorities will also have to be notified of any freight transfers within the EU exceeding 10,000 euros, including checks, pre-paid cards,

I have included this in bitcoin discussion as using btc to purchase on coinstand is relevant to all btc users https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=999271.new#newUnder what circumstances would you consider using coinstand to buy goods? Never wait and see If they were substantially cheaper and the site was proven to deliver I may try it for a test Cant wait want to use it now and for ever I would only buy with bitcoin edit. If you havent seen it yet here is an example https://i.imgur.com/zKtwwkF.png

With the paycoin communtiy expecting coinstand to give a boost it may be helpful to conduct a poll for everyones consumption to indicate what potential coinstand has with EXISTING crypto users.

Where are daily volume and weighted dollar average data for paycoin to be found? I have looked at cryptsy charts which show ONLY 63k coins on Jan 1st traded 71k on 2nd and 130k on 3rd. this is small. Coinswap has been showing an average btc volume of about 130 btc or $40,000 ish Today its showing 83btc in 24h hrs as I post. None of this seems to be a significant part of the 12.375 million coins on the blockchain. Paybase may well be taking the brunt of the sales but where is the data? isnt crypto supposed to be transparent? How can I find this? Edit Ok I have found this http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/volume/24-hour/http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/paycoin2/are paybase purchases of paycoin in this data or is not yet disclosed?

What is the probability that the reason for the non movement of Satoshi coins is that the private key has been lost ( and what implications does this have?)? As wallets have become more secure would these coins not be moved to something considered "safer" ? When was a large chunk last moved? If it was years ago does this not support the likelihood of a lost key and the inability to access these coins? If there is proof/indication that these are still active/ accessible it would be nice to see that to put my mind at rest . If there is no convincing proof of continued access then this article can be ignored. http://www.coindesk.com/dangerous-satoshi-nakamoto/Satoshi certainly has a lot of funds. Bitcoin security consultant Sergio Lerner's oft-cited analysis puts the figure at around 1m BTC, based on the early mining that he or she did.
Most of those coins were unspent, the exceptions being some test transactions during the first ten days after Satoshi mined the genesis block (the first block on the blockchain).

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-09-12/panic-streets-london-can-scotland-ever-be-same-againIf they copy the Isle of Mann and have a crypto currency and tax haven friendly environment they may benefit to a large degree. The Uk may also be able to have their cake and eat it with both "countries" jumping from one set of rules and tax regime as they see fit. The UK can circumvent some of the uglier rules of the EC and European central bank using Scotland who do not automatically become part of the Union of megla maniacs in Brussles. Scotland can compensate/circumvent any disadvantages from not being an EU member by using the UK as a base for certain industries. Looks to me that Pro Union politicians ( 3 major parties) have to go through the motions of fighting for a no vote to appease the rest of the EU but could they secretly want it to be yes ?

Apart from the 2 Airlines that accept bitcon directly for tickets http://www.coindesk.com/air-lituanica-shows-bitcoins-use-travel-taking-flight/ALL airlines that accept debit/credit cards for payment..(which is about 100%) can issue tickets with payment via Xapo bitcoin loaded debit card. Note . .Xapo..PLEASE get those cards delivered faster!!!!!!!Cost comparison 1Apart from $ purchases in the USA which will incur an additional 3% cost. If you pay in local/ home / non US$ currency there is effectively a 3% cost to use Xapo but it may well be the case that the $ ticket price and the local currency ticket price has a similar ( or worse) price differential as airlines make the majority of their payments ( fuel/airport fees etc) in $'s so it is VERY likely that in this scenario using Xapo is equal or better to using local non $ denominated currency. 2 If you are buying a ticket in a foreign country and you are $/Euro or UK pound (card/income) base the transaction fees and exchange rate spread charged to you will 90% + of the time be equal or worse than the 3% Xapo cost. So Once you FINALLY get a Xapo card any airline ticket may be purchased and that price will be competitive or better depending which country you are buying it in and what is your home currency.! Examples http://www.theguardian.com/money/2011/jan/23/booking-flight-airline-websitesAdvantage of buying return ticket from the foreign Country you are traveling to https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=7105307That actual works as well, don't book anything from South Africa I found out as I was booking my mates flights. You could knock several hundred off by going through an Australian or UK proxy. I believe from memory it was the same agency as well. Just changing the domain brought up vastly different prices on the same flights.
But no as I mentioned above lots of holiday destinations have cheap tickets inbound, but out bound are expensive. I first noticed it travelling from London to Croatia.
It was like $200 flight to Split, but the flight home was double or triple. I hopped on a proxy, and found I could get the reverse deal from Split to London. $200 to London, $600 back home to split. So I started gaming the system.
The agencies are hedging on the fact you have to take the return flight. So they coerce you into the cheap flight to location X, but claw the money back with the return flight which I guess the vast majority of people have to take.

How many merchants? millions? Really ? Apart from the bitpay 50,000 ish merchants etc.. millions of merchants now accept bitcoin since 3 weeks ago...but may not know it yet Xapo card can be used internationally at ANY merchant who accepts traditional debit/credit cards. Although currently there is a 3% cost as time passes this will reduce ( to zero most probably) It is important to note that buying your cigs at home has a 3% extra cost but buying them when abroad is up to 5% cheaper ( exchange rate spread up to 5% in worst cases plus 2.5% +1% fees when buying in a foreign country) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=736643.msg8323871#msg8323871

For example, Tennessee is a low-price state, where $100 will buy what would cost $110.25 in another state that is closer to the national average. You can think of this as meaning that Tennesseans are about ten percent richer than their nominal incomes suggest.
The states where $100 is worth the least are the District of Columbia ($84.60), Hawaii ($85.32), New York ($86.66), New Jersey ($87.64), and California ($88.57). That same money goes the furthest in Mississippi ($115.74), Arkansas ($114.16), Missouri ($113.51), Alabama (113.51), and South Dakota ($113.38).
A person who makes $40,000 a year after tax in Kentucky would need to have after-tax earnings of $53,000 in Washington, DC just in order to have an equal standard of living, let alone feel richer. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-08-24/whats-100-really-worth-each-state

I am sure it can be done....but how? good suggestions may be copied to interested Governments http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-08-22/russia-busts-european-sanctioned-fruit-smuggling-ringRussia's food safety ministry Rosselhoznadzor has discovered fruit being smuggled in via Belarus that was restamped as being from Zimbabwe and various other non-sanctioned nations. It appears the smuggling nation culprits are Poland, Slovenia, and Greece and Russia is now "actively monitoring the situation," suggesting they may extend import bans to Belarus also if the situation continues. In addition, Rosselhoznadzor intends in the future to move to a system of electronic certification of goods in transit.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-08-15/order-out-chaos-doctrine-runs-worldOrder Out Of Chaos: The Doctrine That Runs The World Hopefully, you have the sense to see how this works: problem, reaction, solution. Economic or physical war is launched between East and West, while the dollar is killed in the process. The masses react by demanding a fair and balanced replacement for the dollar as world reserve so that economic stability can return. The Americans blame Russia and the East for their fiscal misfortune. The East blames the hubris of the West for its own downfall. Neither side blames the banksters, who started the whole calamity to begin with. And the elites swoop in as saviors with a new Bretton Woods-style agreement to appease all sides and cement their global currency system, the system they had always wanted. And with a global economic currency and authority in place, global governance is not far behind — order out of chaos.
