1  Economy / Services / Looking for a developer who is familiar with customized embedded Youtube videos on: February 02, 2020, 04:46:28 PM
As the subject states, I am looking for a developer who is familiar with embedding Youtube videos into a website.
It is not about to just integrate it as an iframe (thats simply, Google provides a good reference) but to adjust options to my needs.

To be more precise:
I want users to get rewarded for watching particular YT videos. However they need to watch them completely in order to receive the reward. With standard configuration, it is pretty easy to bypass or skip video.
Thus I am looking for someone who can help me to implement mechanisms (frontend or backend) that way that a video is watched entirely.

I am an experienced (backend) programmer, so it might be that I only need consultancy.

I would pay in BTC . The best thing would be to communicate via Keybase.
2  Other / Serious discussion / A good way to store images decentrally? on: December 09, 2019, 01:10:36 PM
I had no idea where this post would fit best and would get the attention without getting unrelated replies from sig spammers.

I have created a small web service that automatically hosts screenshots on Imgur. I now want to store the images decentrally (and best unchangeable and cost effective). I have searched for suitable blockchain projects, as this would be the most obvious way, but unfortunately without any noteworthy success.

Now I wanted to ask if anyone has an idea with which project or with which technique this could be best implemented?
3  Other / Meta / Suggestion to reduce signature campaign spam posts on: November 11, 2019, 02:19:23 PM
Despite recent efforts to reduce signature campaign spam, it is still ubiquitous. How often do I read any meaningless posts in any dead threads or other completely irrelevant posts in poor quality by users wearing a advertisement in the signature.

In my opinion, this is also due to the fact that the minimum number of posts for signature campaigns is far too high and the participants are virtually "forced" to write useless posts. Normal active users write between 3-4 posts a week, if at all. However, many signature campaigns require at least 15 or 20 posts.

Wouldn't it therefore be a useful measure to prohibit signature campaigns to require a minimum number of posts per week or month? Or at least a minimum number of 1 to 3 posts per week or not more than 10 a month?

The maximum number of posts can still be chosen arbitrarily, as there are also some power users who write many high quality posts.

What do you think?
4  Other / Meta / Readable merit dataset for your own evaluations on: September 28, 2019, 04:39:39 PM
I have read that some would like to perform merit evaluations themselves, but the data provided by theymos is not very readable. That's why I wrote a script that provides the same data with readable date, time, category path, thread name and usernames (from & to).

I make the data freely available for everyone on Github. Have fun with the data analysis.

The data was created automatically, so there is no guarantee the data is consistent. It is based on raw data provided by theymos and LoyceV.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Search for projects that have leftover tokens to distribute for a good cause on: March 31, 2019, 07:48:30 PM
Almost a year ago, in March 2018 I made a proposal [1] to the Byteball Community (in the meanwhile the project was renamed to Obyte). The project had a remaining amount of coins to distribute. The idea was to give a part of the remaining coins to users which contribute processing power to scientific research projects (among other things fighting cancer, Zika virus, HVI and others) on WorldCommunityGrid platform which is provided by IBM. The idea was so well received that a short time later a team was established and a bot created for daily Bytes distribution and a campaign was announced officially.

Now a year has been passed since that and Byteball/Obyte team on WorldCommunityGrid has around 1300 members which had spent 10000 years of processing power and processed 35 million tasks to a range of scientific projects. Within the year, the team reached rank 15 out of more than 4000 teams and even won a challenge [2]. Thus a huge success that brought Byteball/Obyte attention.

Therefore I am now looking for projects and project owners who are still sitting on an undistributed pile and are looking for a good and useful way to distribute it and support important research that affects us all. The advantage is that everyone can participate. You do not need bitcoins or big mining equipment. The distribution can take place either automatically via the blockchain (e.g. via a bot or smart contract) or manually. I am ready to support the campaign if needed.

I'm also looking for people who know such projects and maybe suggest the idea in the respective community.

6  Economy / Services / BTC, BCH, BSV and BTG balance search service (unknown or forgotten own balance) on: February 22, 2019, 08:36:26 PM
I offer a service that automatically searches Bitcoin addresses for balances on four chains (BTC, BCH, BSV, BTG) simultaneously. Its a good way to find out if there is unknown or forgotten balance or unclaimed balance from BCH, BSV and BTG forks.

Background:
I wrote a program for myself because I've used a lot of Bitcoin addresses over the years. I have saved the public and private keys for all addresses. I was not sure if I did not have a remaining balance on the addresses. After I found some forgotten mBTCs, I extended the program to check also Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV for possile balances through the forks. I found more than I expected. Finally, I implemented the conversion of the bitcoin address to a bitcoin gold address and looked up for balance, too. In the end I found Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, and Bitcoin Gold worth about $600, which I did not know that I own them until recently.

How it works?
If you are not sure if you still have balance and do not want to look up all the addresses by hand, then just send me addresses (public keys only) and I check Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin SV (BSV) and Bitcoin Gold (BTG) for balances. Afterwards, I will send you then report of possible findings.

What does it cost?
Each search (includes all four chains and up to 500 addresses) costs 0.0025 BTC (also accept major top 30). If the search does not find any balance on all chains, it only costs 0.001 BTC.

7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Python implementation of bs58check? on: February 19, 2019, 07:33:01 AM
Is there somewhere a bs58check library in Python available? All I could find was a NodeJs implementation. I need to convert Bitcoin addresses to Bitcoin Gold addresses and I read using bs58check is the best way to do so.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN][OTC Token] Otcrit Platform - New Exchange and Marketplace Platform on: January 10, 2018, 12:12:06 PM
Otcrit Platform
Trade With Information

Otcrit [from Bulgarian] - 1. Transparent, open. 2. Found, discovered.

INTRODUCTION

The new crypto-economy is growing exponentially with unprecedented speed, and the market is soon to hit one trillion dollars market capitalization. However, the biggest issue in the cryptocurrency market is the lack of transparency and authentic information.
Our platform allows serious investors to receive expert reports for the projects and companies they are interested in. It also allows less experienced users to get their hands on easy to understand material and not gamble with their money.
The project merges traditional and over-the-counter trading while giving its users access to detailed expert analyses and reports about various blockchain projects.

An important part of the Otcrit platform is our cryptocurrency exchange (Otcritex), where only projects reviewed and audited by our security experts and analysts will be available for trading. A percentage of the collected fees will be distributed between all OTC token holders. The Otcritex will also pay commissions to all companies listed on it and, by doing so, reward them for their transparency and dedication. We are against the current model where companies are required to pay, sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars, to be listed on other exchanges and not get a share of the profits that they could put into development.

COMMUNITY REPORTS

Users will be able to create their own reports on the platform by following our guidelines in the special templates we have created for each category. This way they will be rewarded for their work and have the possibility to sell their studies. Anyone can hire experts or community analysts, request reports from the community, translate existing reports and rate the content creators. The exclusive ads revenue on the platform will be shared with our token holders and community authors.

EXPERT REPORTS

Otcrit plans to issue different reports and analyses regularly in many categories, like company assessment reports, community-based reports, technical analyses and more. These works will be prepared by experienced specialists and available on our platform. Our team will constantly strive to update the information we provide, and all updates of the purchased analyses will be sent to the customers via email at no extra cost. We will publish these papers, not only in English, but also in Russian, Chinese, Japanese and other languages.

Otcritex

The Otcrit exchange will list only projects audited and evaluated by our research team and certified partners. We give users 3 ways to pay fewer to no fees while trading. This is possible by being active, by inviting friends and by using our tokens. If our users go over their average monthly volume, we will remove their fees until the end of the month or when they go over it by 50%.
10% of the digital assets, collected from fees on the platform will be distributed to our token holders. These rewards will be sent out simultaneously every week via a smart contract

WHY OTCRIT?

We understand how difficult it is to spend time following all the market changes and project developments that are necessary to make a good investment. The information is scattered all over the internet and people cannot be sure that the articles, reviews and analyses are objective.
This is why we will give not only in-depth assets analyses and evaluation but also a different independent perspective that investors can rely on and profit from. Our customers will have everything they need, from quality information platform to secure trading exchange in one place.
The cryptocurrency market will continue to grow rapidly as it has been doing for the past few years and more people will join this industry, making the demand for quality information and transparent exchanges much higher.

Bounty Program/Job Interview

The Bounty Campaign will have two levels, a standard one with stakes, and exclusive one only for our platform users. During our bounty campaign we will collect valuable information about the community users who post objective, high quality reports and technical analyses. The top authors, who are available, will be offered to join our experts team and start working for Otcrit full-time. This way they can continue to share their knowledge and always earn from it.

TOKEN DISTRIBUTION

The total tokens distributed to the public will be 83% of the total supply of 100m. Our main and pre-sale will collectively sell 70% of the tokens, and 8% will be sent out in bounties for the next 1 year, for content creators, authors, found bugs, and other initiatives, during and after both funding campaigns.

10  Economy / Economics / Permissionless vs Permissioned Blockchains on: November 12, 2017, 11:58:39 AM
I was recently dealing with permissioned blockchains such as Hyperledger toolset from Linux Foundation and Quorom that is an open source permissioned Ethereum cloned blockchain created by JPMorgan. Before, I was not aware of that already so many projects are existing that are specialized in creating private blockchains. The most development was triggerd by financial institutions mainly for bonds, invoice financing, letter of credit transactions, and interest rate swaps.

Finance industry is bet on permissioned blockchains. Why should other industries behave differently? Or in other words, why should they rely on public blockchain projects such as Ethereum or Waves, if each industry can set up its own blockchain?

Updated: Corrected some typos.

11  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Can Bitcoin Script be extended to be Turing Complete? on: August 23, 2017, 05:52:23 PM
I deal with Bitcoin Script and its opportunities.

Can stack-based language Bitcoin Script be transformed in a turing complete language by doing a hard fork in principle?
12  Other / Meta / Adding permanent altcoin batches (as been on 1st April) on: April 02, 2017, 02:13:02 PM
I liked yesterday's event adding altcoin batches on the occasion of April 1.

Then I thought, it would be a nice feature when such batches are permanently added to a user's account, depending on either how active it is in the respective announcement thread or how often the respective coin occurs in its post contributions. Depending on this, there could also be different ranks assigned as seen yesterday when one hovered a batch.

13  Local / Projektentwicklung / [Script] Berechnung von Bitcoinguthaben zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt on: March 12, 2017, 02:43:50 PM
Hallo zusammen,

Code:
python bitcoin.py meineAdressen.txt 12-03-2016

Beispiel 2: Scriptaufruf um das aktuelle Guthaben zu berechnen.
Code:
python bitcoin.py meineAdressen.txt
