Sent 0.016 btc to someone 13  hours ago......seen by 8 peers, still an unconfirmed transaction.
It never used to be like this.....the only drawback of bitcoin in my opinion.

5  Economy / Digital goods / Anybody want to take over the domain on: February 27, 2016, 12:00:49 PM
I started the site a few years ago but the UK Gambling commission sent me a cease and desist order  last June  due to what they deemed as content that broke the disgraceful and draconian betting laws we now have in place here.
Any offers? (in bitcoin)....I only want peanuts.
It is still active but only contains a message nowadays.

I was just sitting watching and listening to the bitcoin transactions at when, at around 02.12 am GMT, the biggest bubble I've ever seen there appeared and filled the screen.
It was a payment of 8,400 btc
Good Grief.....that's around 2 million dollars!
Way to go!

9  Economy / Service Discussion / wallet problem on: December 09, 2014, 08:58:27 PM
I just went to my blockchain wallet and A) My bitcoin weren't there to use and B) There was the following message,
A security issue affects your account please archive it and contact support

Since then, someone else has sent me a payment to the wallet address and although it's in the blockchain with 15 confirmations it's not in my wallet  Undecided
I've contacted support as requested but not been answered yet.......anyone clever than me know what may have  happened?
I know they announced they had a security issue in the last 36 hours where 0.0002% of users were affected....Would it be that perhaps?
Are Blockchain holding my bitcoin?

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I thought Ebay were implementing a Virtual Currency section today on: February 10, 2014, 11:13:48 AM
I definitely read a few weeks back that they would have a virtual currency section from 10th Feb.
I can't see it anywhere on the site.
12  Economy / Service Discussion / MTGOX are still hard work on: January 04, 2014, 01:46:43 PM
I instigated a couple of cash withdrawals by International wire transfer 6 weeks ago totalling 2,000 (I'm in the UK).
I have just contacted them asking why neither have appeared in my bank account and got this reply.

Dear Anthony,

Thank you for the email and sorry for the delay in response. Currently we are facing few backlogs and we do not have an ETA for international withdrawals. We are in the process of forming relationship with new partners, banks and taking other steps to clear the backlog. Your request for withdrawal is currently in queue and we will update you once the request is processed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Best regards,

Mt.Gox Team

What sort of a response is that after SIX WEEKS of waiting?
I am amazed at their ineptitude.
I have emailed them back asking if they have actually started the process of transferring the money and if they haven't could they put the money back into my Gox account.
I could then buy BTC, withdraw and sell elsewhere.
They really do have to get their act together.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / I think I may have been scammed on: November 13, 2013, 06:33:23 PM
I tried to put  a litecoin wallet on my machine recently but  after many attempts I gave up....Just kept getting a thing saying 96 weeks behind, it would travel to 60 weeks behind then just stop. I left it 18 hours the last attempt and it still never moved.
So I googled for an online wallet and found this place:

Somebody sent me some litecoin, they went into the wallet I created but I can't withdraw....every time I try it just ADDS the amount I'm trying to send to my account total!
I have emailed three times, no response.
I then found a litecoin forum and lo and behold, someone else having the same grief a few days ahead of me.
I reproduce our posts below;

Did I just get scammed or is it a bug?
on: November 11, 2013, 10:01:46 PM
I just bought 58 of litecoin and transferred them to an online wallet which looked legit. ( - until I tried to send them to a desktop wallet. My 21 coins have been "pending" for a few days now.. there's no answer from their contact email, and my desktop wallet still says 0 LTC received and is fully synchronized. Help! The only other weird "bug" is that my balance on the website doubled instead of deducted. I think this could be bad coding because I briefly saw a negative amount in the "sent" box, and if the code is trying to send a negative number then the balance would naturally increase when the negative number is deducted..

HELP! Have I been scammed?

I just joined the forum to reply to you.
I deposited 45 at the same site but every time I try to send money it doesn't send but just adds the total to my account.
Exactly what you're getting in fact.
I also can't get a response through the support email.
I fear we've been scammed too.
Who are these revolting people?

Please be warned and spread the word guys.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / 16 hours and my bitcoin payment .... on: May 12, 2013, 06:05:48 PM
...still hasn't arrived at it's destination.
I 've only ever used MultiBit and this is the first time in 53 transactions, in or out, that it's gone beyond an hour.
I have pulled up the blockchain page plus the blockexplorer page and I've attached them. Also, a screenshot of my MultiBit wallet transactions (top one), showing the payment of 0.3 (reduced to 0.299 after fee), with a tick next to it dated today May 12th.
It's now climbed to 106 Confirmations by the way.

Can any of you people with much more knowledge than myself let me know what is happening?
I'm baffled.
Thanks in advance.
