1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / If we all live in a virtual world, will bitcoin become its official currency? on: Today at 01:36:54 AM
I was rewatching Ready Player One earlier with my nephew and this thought came to my mind when I saw the prize money. If, for example, we live in a virtual world (however you describe your understanding of a virtual world) do you think we will only have one currency to use and that is bitcoin? Or will we still have different coins (altcoins)?
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What problems cryptocurrency will face in the near future? on: October 09, 2018, 06:03:03 AM
Specifically in the next 5 years, what do you think will be the greatest challenge or problem that the crypto market will face, and how do you think the market will overcome this problem? I also wonder if AI can help crypto trading safer and free from hacking and scamming?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / If bitcoin prices remain the same until next year, will it be good for the crypt on: October 04, 2018, 01:20:12 AM
Bitcoin prices are still the same these days and it does not seem like it is moving up. At least not as high as everyone anticipates. If the price remains the same until next year and it stabilize at around $6000, do you think that it will be good for the crypto world or not? Say it does not go down below it, but it also still does not go higher than that, what do you think will be the repercussions to the market?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any new coins to watch out for in the next three months or next year? on: October 02, 2018, 05:17:07 PM
The year 2018 is coming to a close (only 3 months left) and people predict bitcoin price to go up again by 2019. My question, however, is if you think there will be any coins to watch out for in the coming year? If so, how do you think it will fare compared to bitcoins and all other existing altcoins?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What business industry will benefit the most from cryptocurrency? on: September 28, 2018, 12:30:59 AM
Early this evening I was at a friend's housewarming party and I overheard a couple of his other friends talking about cryptocurrency. Since I do not know any of them, I decided to lurk behind and listen. One of them explains what cryptocurrency is and how it works until the whole conversation turned to the industries that will benefit from it the most. The group suddenly went quiet. I think they are lost. So what do you think? If more and more companies start accepting bitcoins and altcoins as payments, which sector do you think will benefit the most from it? The first thing that came to mind is supermarkets, simply because it is the one that most people frequent to. The other thing I could think of is the automotive industry as well as real estate. But what do you think?
6  Economy / Speculation / Why do people keep saying bitcoin is disappearing? on: September 26, 2018, 06:49:35 PM
I see this post all the time, people who keep saying that bitcoin will soon disappear or we are about to see the end of bitcoin. I read somewhere that the price of bitcoin this year is not the lowest since bitcoin's inception. It has dipped lower before, if I remember correctly, it was 80% drop. With that in mind, how could people say that bitcoin is about to cease existence? If it can survive an 80% drop, surely it can survive the drop this year, right?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mind uploading and/or chip implants in the body as alternative to wallets on: September 24, 2018, 07:39:13 PM
This is an old blog post I found this morning as I was reading up on cryptos but after reading it, I thought I would share it here in the bitcoin community to ask what is your opinion of implanting chips in your body and/or using your digitized brain as an alternative wallets. This idea came to my mind especially since a few months ago, I saw in the news that there are people who are getting chip implants on their hands and they can use those chips to pay for goods and services. If the chip implants can be used for fiat, do you think it can be used for crypto as well? Also, do you think that if it can be applicable to cryptocurrency, it will make our coins safer from hackers and scammers? And one last thing, will it even make a difference if we have a chip implanted on our body to store our coins?
8  Other / Meta / Is it okay to go on as a member without caring so much about merits? on: September 21, 2018, 06:15:20 PM
I understand the importance of merits, but for a bitcoin user who does not really need signatures at the bottom of their profiles, should merits still matter? Is it possible to continue as a bitcointalk member even without trying too hard to achieve a single merit? Does the merit have anything to do with trust ratings? If you ask then what is the purpose of joining here, my answer would be because I would really like to learn about bitcoin and the crypto world so that I could buy bitcoins and altcoins. Thanks! I hope you can enlighten me.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Using Cryptocurrency for Dark Web on: September 20, 2018, 05:12:27 PM
Last night, I saw a movie called Unfriended: Dark Web wherein one of the main characters stole a laptop, which he later found out that it is owned by a member of an anonymous group in a Dark Web. This member sent him bitcoins totaling to $10m to make him do terrible things, dragging his friends into this mess. This got me thinking, I know it is probably possible to use crypto for dark web, but if this is how it is going to be, don't you think that this will make bitcoins and other altcoins dangerous? Can a person really use cryptocurrency for Dark Web?

PS: I am not planning to use cryptocurrency for dark web, I am simply asking if it is indeed possible and its dangers.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can crypto help with environmental problems? on: September 14, 2018, 05:20:28 PM
Cryptocurrency, specifically bitcoin, is gaining more and more users everyday. Despite the price drop this year and its unpredictability, a lot of people are still joining the crypto world. My question is, do you think that cryptocurrency can help eliminate environmental problems? If so, how do you think crypto or the blockchain technology can help solve environmental problems?

Something I can learn about proper trading and buying cryptos, a board where every newbie can actually learn about it and not get typical replies like be smart and patient and do your research? Thank you.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Is there a required amount before you start trading? on: September 10, 2018, 05:44:56 PM

20  Other / Off-topic / What do you think about AR and VR changing the professional industry? on: August 20, 2018, 06:36:24 PM
Augmented reality and virtual reality are slowly changing the professional industry. More and more enterprises are now using both technology to make their jobs easier and faster. For example, there are airplane makers now that use Google Glass 2.0 in manufacturing their products, as well as big corporations such as GE. The medical industry are also now starting to use AR and VR in surgical procedures and training and as a tool for treatment even. Do you think AR, VR and MR will revolutionize the professional industry or will it eventually die down?
