1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Virie-the cryptocurrency of the future? on: October 18, 2018, 12:49:13 PM
I came across this website called Virternity which is apparently a project meant to create a virtual world in the future. Read their roadmap and #5 caught my attention. They are now introducing their cryptocurrency called Virie. A quote said "This currency will have real, inherent value (ie,easily exchanged for goods and services). More importantly, it will enable the seamless unification of the material and virtual worlds.
Is this the cryptocurrency of the future? What do you think?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Decades from now, do you think we will have complete democracy over banks? on: October 01, 2018, 10:40:19 AM
With the ever growing population of people and institutions who are slowly joining the cryptocurrencies, it somehow gives us hope that it will become the currency of the future. Fast forward to maybe 20 to 30 years, technology is expected to evolve even further. AIs may be used by blockchains to ensure security and safety of the cryptos. More people could have gained a lot from investing to it by then. More countries will become cashless like China is now. More people would see the importance of digital currencies in their daily lives as everything becomes digital by then.

That said, if that happens, do you think that we will have complete democracy, transparency and control over the actions of governments and banks? What are your thoughts about it?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The future of Cryptos and E-commerce with AIs? on: September 27, 2018, 02:06:26 PM
As we may already have noticed, cryptos and e-commerce are now slowly (but hopefully, surely), emerging as market trends in the future. Upon analyzing, we will realize though that they may be prone to risks on securities and legit websites for those e-commerce/online traders. Fast forward to a few decades from now when technology is expected to be much highly advanced, do you think it will help if AIs will be used to help filter genuine websites based on users' opinions and then be able to sort them out based on customers' satisfaction on product quality?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Which do you prefer, bank or crypto? on: September 21, 2018, 09:09:22 AM
If you are to choose, which one would you prefer to store your money, banking which is susceptible to fraud like identity theft, lost and stolen cards, ATM withdrawal scams etc., or cryptocurrency wallet which is susceptible to cyberspace scams? Why?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is Bitcoin safer than banking? on: September 10, 2018, 08:34:50 AM
Reports have it that bank frauds still continue to happen despite of strict security measures being taken by the banks. Just between January to July 2018, just timeshare fraud alone had 1.155 reported cases. It's when you’re told you can go on a free holiday or get rich by joining an exclusive holiday club or timeshare programme, but you’re eventually forced to pay for it through small print in the contact. That is not to mention other types of fraud like identity theft etc.

This gets me thinking, is it safer to just have bitcoins, or cryptocurrencies for that matter since it's not regulated by banks? What do you think?
