|
on: July 25, 2018, 11:37:57 AM
|
The law commission of India, which has been studying the feasibility of sports gambling, has clubbed virtual currency with other legally accepted modes of payments.
These methods used for settling online transactions can also be used for betting on sports if and when made legal. Lets see the court decision in September.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [Bounty Scams] Is there any way to avoid Scam Bounties?
|
on: June 24, 2018, 05:16:58 AM
|
Hi,
After Repux, Joy token, EOZ, Giftcoin this time the next scam knocking at the door is Uniatarplay. They are banning every member who is asking for bounty in chat. And bounty thread is dead since end of ICO.
Repux and Joytoken were managed by Amazix
EOZ was managed by TOkensuite
Obviously, These companies will get paid for organizing bounties. So i think its a new kind of bounty scam they are playing with member of bitcointalk.
Is there any way to punish those bounty manager or those bounty making projects.

Local / India / Zebpay played a big game or is genuinely concerned??
|
on: June 24, 2018, 03:15:45 AM
|
Zebpay, India's largest cryptocurrency exchange, is yet again under the radar and as a crypto enthusiast, I felt that this requires your attention.
A string of emails, bending the RBI regulations, manipulation of price, and what not! Zebpay this time has either played a big game or is genuinely concerned about its users.
The article points out why the 6 emails sent to its users seem fishy and includes how they impacted the price of Bitcoin massively, causing it to fall by more than 1 Lac INR (~1500 USD)

Local / India / Banning Crypto and ICO will take India in Backward direction?
|
on: June 14, 2018, 05:41:06 AM
|
Hi,
In my opinion, Banning crypto India will pull India down from the finance battle. As the story of raising funds of startup is completely changes now. Instead of looking for angle investor, now founders have to launch ICO and investor from across the globe will contribute if they found it suitable for investment. An example of this is OTPPAY, where they are developing a paytm like app for paying in cryptos.
Another benefit is, these ICOs products are global so these products can make image of country globally. and the base of ICO is cryptocurrency.
Now if India ban all such stuffs, entrepreneur from India will loose this easy process. And instead of bullet train they will keep running with passenger train and old investment model.
I think, RBI and India authorities should take this into account before making any decision. But I highly doubt on their understanding on crypto currency.
What is your opinion on this. Please share meaningful thoughts...

Local / India / Effect on ICOs in INDIA, While RBI banning Crypto?
|
on: June 13, 2018, 07:23:38 AM
|
Hi,
If RBI is banning crypto in India how these India ICO and crypto startups will survive? For example: OPTPAY, ENLTE and many more are there.
I thing through banning crypto they will kill funding and support for Indian startups and minds.

Other / Meta / Feature request? Notification or Email
|
on: June 05, 2018, 05:31:13 AM
|
Hi community,
How about adding a feature of getting notification when someone reply with quoting my reply/post. It is a bit time taking of checking each post every time to check whether someone replied on my comment. It will be good if I get notified through Bitcointalk account notification or an email that someone has replied on my comment.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Tezos is set to lauch its Beta soon - Do you have Tezos?
|
on: May 30, 2018, 03:46:28 AM
|
As reported by the CoinNinzas, Tezos is finalizing its final preparation and set to launch the Beta version of it.
Preparations for the Betanet The Tezos community has been running the alphanet, a test network, successfully for well over a year. Although this provided valuable engineering insight, there is no substitute for real-world experience. To that end, the Tezos Foundation looks forward to the launch of the betanet. Tezos contributors who opt to interact with this network must understand that it will undergo unscheduled downtime and require maintenance and adjustments. We anticipate a broader main network (“mainnet”) launch to follow with transactions from the betanet persisting into the mainnet.
Website is also updates, Desperately waiting for it. Do you have tezos?

Other / Meta / Feature of ICO Ranking on Bitcointalk
|
on: May 24, 2018, 05:32:58 AM
|
Hi,
I have a proposal of adding ICO ranking feature on Bitcointalk. Due to increase in ICO interest a large number of crypto users are hunting for ICOs here n there. Even through white paper it is not possible for many ppl to judge the ICO and its capability. Some scam ICOs also get funded due to unauthentic or may be paid rating or may be due to lack of awareness. Bitcointalk is community working to make crypto world scam/spam free.
So can we develop a system where community member can vote for ICOs or any other way. So that ppl can invest in ICO with true rating.

Other / Meta / Is it possible to post same thread in different forum?
|
on: May 23, 2018, 09:32:22 AM
|
Hi,
I dont know whether it is ok to post same thread on different forum if it is quite related to both of the forum. For example, if I found some organized scam related to ICO or MLM scheme which I also want to post in my local country thread.
or It will be a violation of Bitcointalk rule base?

Local / India / India may levy Goods and Services Tax on cryptocurrency trading
|
on: May 23, 2018, 09:14:22 AM
|
As per the article published on bloomberg, India may levy Goods and Services Tax on cryptocurrency trading, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter, even as there’s lack of clarity about their legal status in the country.
The government may levy an 18 percent GST.
Cryptocurrencies could be classified as intangible goods on a par with software, they said, adding that its use in illegal activities would have to be dealt with under other laws.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Attention binance users!!! A phishing scam
|
on: May 21, 2018, 03:20:11 AM
|
Binance users are receiving letters with an invitation to test a new application for Windows for a reward of 0.5 BTC, which "will be sent to your Binance account". All you need to do is download and enter your data. This is phishing! Attackers try to get personal data in this way, to access your money. Official Binance does not distribute 0.5 BTC for testing Windows applications. Be careful.
