OK, let's just say not many of us really believed bitcoin will hit $20,000 this year or this soon.
Personally, my eyes was on ETH and Link to do some unbelievable run that could have seen them rise some 1000% this year. I'd expected bitcoin to, at most oscillate between $7K and $13K this year, but amazingly it was bitcoin that stole the show to lead the bullrun charge.
So, now is perfect time to reflect and hear some confessions from some of our Bitcoin OGs who'd been here since the early days (I won't be surprised to see Satoshi himself resurrect on this thread, in commemoration of his 10th year AWOL anniversary, so, be on the look out. Yea, I remember "We're All Satoshi", but still.....)
Let's hear you, how or where did you first discover Bitcoin? Did you mine on your laptops? Did you buy from MTGox or one of those early days trade platform's? And, most importantly, did you sell too soon? Or luckily, did you hodl till now?
And, no matter what, be proud of your contributions to the development and adoption of the Bitcoin phenomenon, because, we won't be here today without you. If you mined you helped stabilized its decentrality. If you sold you helped in its fare distribution. If you held you helped others to believe in Bitcoin.

This is an open request to the top Admins of this great Forum, please give us a DeFi corner where we defined dengens can go and fraternize.
As you may very well know, the crypto space is developing rather rapidly and DeFi happens to be at the forefront of that rapid push. So, methinks this Forum should also be evolving to maintain relevance in this space.
Should DEFI be some obscure topic under the Altcoin board? No, I don't think so.
You'll agree with me that this monster, with its equally beastly moniker, DEFI, is indeed in its beast mode already. Running riots on long held conventions, and in fact, threateningly to disrupt every beliefs about money the human race use to hold dear. But luckily for us, crypto buffs, its our very own beast.
So, let's accord it the respect it deserves and give it a complete sub-board on the forum.

Are there exchanges out there that have enabled Lightning Network (LN) deposits thus far? I have a slew of stacked Sats requiring Lightning invoices so, I was just wondering if there's an exchange I can simply send them instead of downloading Apps.
Pls let's hear about such development if you're aware of any. I'm sure it will help several other people as well.

The last I remember was me filling my account info on a 'Complaint Page' on FBI's website back in January of 2018, two months after it suddenly went off line. And i think someone mentioned in of the #SmokeOutRapta threads back then that Ohio's office of the FBI was on top of the issue and that we should get our money back in distant time.
Now, believe 16months is distant enough time to hear from FBI. Can anybody volunteer any info on the matter?

My email email provider pulled the plugs recently. They did give enough time to clear out though, but I didn't bother because I didn't use the account that much.
I only used it for my yobit account. I checked but there's no option to change email in yobit, so I contacted their support.
The response I got was quite strange. They don't allow emails attached to an account to be swapped, instead I can create another account and use Yobicodes to transfer my funds to the new account.
I wrote them again.
"Pls tell me how to get Yobicodes and how to use it to move funds". Since May no reply.
After days and several weeks of fiddling with different buttons and links on the site, I was able to discover the 'Yobicodes' under the dropdown menu on my profile link.
So, I created a Yobicode for one asset. I should have done that with an asset of lesser value, because since my fund is frozen on the code!
That particular asset doesn't appear anymore among the list of coins I have in my wallet. I can't move it to another account and Yobit don't have any explanation anywhere on how it's done.
Pls does anyone know what else I can do to free my coins and move it to another account?

This desperation for 'FREE' tokens is wrong!
How can somebody promise you a meagre 100 pieces (or some even far less) of his project tokens???
Most annoying is he wants you to do Facebook, Twitter, telegram, YouTube, reddit medium, work before you can qualify!
What good is 100 tokens buried inside your MEW wallet? What happens when the price if this tokens refuse to rise above 40 GWEIs (0.0000004 ETH) when listed??? Or maybe it preforms excellently well and rises from 40 GWEIs to 300 GWEIs. So, you really will wait for years on end and to God that it rises to the price that's reasonable enough to cover the Gas fee for withdrawal from your wallet?
The selfish dev is just using you to sell his project, for nothing! And it's so wrong.
OK, think for a moment, is it not the same time and resources it will cost him to offer 1000 tokens? Don't they have a marketing budget to cover those?
Please any drop or bounty that don't offer minimum 1000 tokens is only a waste of your time. Don't touch it.

I wanted to message a user here on Bitcoin Talk and got this error note: "User 'XYZ_offical' is a newbie, but your options are set such that you cannot receive PMs from newbies. Therefore, you cannot send PMs to newbies, either".
Obviously this 'Option' was set for me automatically at signup, pls how do I change this setting?

I was told on Twitter that KIN airdrop was on for all Eth and XIN holders. But on getting to the page ( https://www.kinecosystem.net/sign.php) it requires my MEW private key to process. Is anyone else familiar with this? Is it safe? |

I hope this thread will be able to help some content creators or aspiring creators on Steemit.com.

When ever I try to login lately I usually get an 'Aprove this lofin attempt' email message. And when I click the Link to approve in the mail, i get this error message:
"This site can’t be reached
blockchainbdgpzk.onion’s server DNS address could not be found.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN"
Should I go look for a .onion browser?
